  • Flashdance (The Musical) was fantastic.

I had loved the movie back in the 80's and this musical did not disappoint.

The lead girl was wonderful. The dancing was not. I was disappointed in the stage production as a whole.

Great seats. The sound system was very poor and hard to hear. Not enough Dancing and various singing was not up to par. The only really good dance production was the last performance.

  • Flashdance was okay

I found that the storyline wouldn't have suffered if some of the original/ slower songs were removed from the musical. The performers were all excellent though and I did enjoy the show

  • Passion was M.I.A

Attending this production of the 80's movie hit was much anticipated. However watching this musical adaptation left much to be desired. Our first clue should have been the fact that no program or information listing the actors was handed out. Searching the web revealed that 'Alex' was played by actress Julia Macchio. She is very talented and deserves a better production to showcase her talents. There was no real chemistry with the actor playing Nick, and the rest of cast performed earnestly but generally without emotional connection. The script was adjusted to fit the stage, but didn't really fit together. Set design was minimal and the sound was incredibly bad. There was no live band and the pre-recorded music was muffled and disappointing. This touring show appears to play only one or two days per city. Short enough time to leave town before the rest of the reviews are written.

  • Good Show

It was what I expected. Not Broadway quality but very entertaining. Lead roles performed very well. Overall money well spent on a night out.

  • FLASHDANCE NOT UP TO EXPECTATIONS

by Anonymous on 2015-04-13Niagara Fall Casino - Niagara FallsRating: 3 out of 5

I was disappointed with this performance. For the cost of the ticket, it did not meet my expectations in any way. The overall production had an overall amateur quality about it.

I thought the dancing was strong but the show just lacked any lustre for me.
