Excellent performance by all of the cast members. Fantastic show.
The show was great. the singing was strong and great dancers
Disappointing night. Despite great sets, strong voices script weskened with too any subplots. Chemistry lacking between leads. Alex missing venerability that tempered her brashness and made movie role memorable. Okay evening but could have been great.
When you paid good money, I feel I should see the best! I never saw that, singing was not very stronge and I expected more dance. Actually yawned in a few parts, sorry for the poor review but love going to broadway show and this was defiantly not worth money!
There were too many slow love songs that fell flat on the excitement level. I expected more fast paced songs. The dancers were great. Very talented dancers. I would not recommend this play again.
Although I loved the storyline, and play, and even the actors, the Sound Sucked!!!! It was like being in a tin can. I have been to many events at the Jubilee and NEVER thought this. Disappointing.
Poorly danced. Boring show. Paid $130 for balcony seats: absolutely not worth the money.
They did a reasonable job adapting the movie to the stage, but I didn't feel they stayed true to the feeling of the movie. The singing was average and none of the songs written for the play really swept you along or stuck in your mind. It was a fun play, but for true Flashdance movie lovers I'd say it was more of a miss than a hit.
As musicals go this was not the best. Dancing wasn't that great.
Awesome show, great music, fantastic performance. It took me back to my younger years.
We love musical theatre and try to make as many productions as we can and this one I was underwhelmed. Perhaps I went in with too high of expectations, that being said it was ok. I would not however pay close to $100.00 total per ticket for this again. On another note my daughter wanted to buy a t shirt and they had only a total of 3 small t-shirts and 1 only sweatshirt. ( A TOTAL OF 4 SHIRTS IN TOTAL AT THE MERCHANCDISE COUNTER) . We were there an hour early and this is what was left.. ( 4 shirts)That should have been the first clue that this was going to be an unspecial production.
The enthusiasm and talent displayed by the performers was incredible. The musicians were equally wonderful.
Went way to far away from the movie. Way to much focus taken at from Alex. I would not go see it again and would not recommend it to friends and family.
I have been to many plays and the Alberta Ballet and I was very excited for Flashdance. But when the show started I knew right away this play would be a let down. To start with the ushers would take people to their seats after the show started, so people had to be disrupted while late comers come in. Then the lead singer started to sing WOW I do not know if she was the under study or a last min call in but her singing was off pitch and her dancing was so stiff. the sets however was amazing and the costumes were great
My wife and I attended this event with 2 other couples. We were all of the same opinion that this show was a waste of our time and money. We were not impressed at all with this production. About the only good thing was the dancing and that was the supporting cast. The main lead who played Alex was not that good of a dancer. We were really disappointed with the production of the songs 'Gloria' and 'Maniac'. These songs made the rock and roll hit parade and should have been the big productions in the show. Instead they really were boring. Overall this show was a failure.
Flashdance was an OK performance. I enjoyed the cheesy 80's song and dance. The best singers in the cast were not the main characters.
One of the best shows I have seen this year. Would definitely recommend
Flashdance lagged in parts. The acting isn't great but the singing and dancing were.
I was a very good show, definitely would recommend and see it again
I had purchased 6 tickets to the Friday night show & All of us were expecting it to be fabulous but felt it didn't meet our expectations. We felt it was cheesy & corny & not worth $120 a ticket at all. Very disappointed in it
