I love both bands, and this is definitely the best concert I have ever been! It was great to enjoy two different genres of music at the same night.

Cage the Elephant and The Foals

by Stoker on 2014-05-16Kool Haus - Toronto

Was under the impression the Foals was the opening act. Went late with the impression Cage the Elephant was the headliner, only to show up and missed their performance. tickets only stated doors open at 6:30pm, would have been nice to indicate when the show starts. However, the Foals were great band to see in concert.

CTE is unmatched in today's Alt music scene

by Ilikecoldbeer on 2014-05-16Kool Haus - Toronto

Cage the Elephant is bested by none in today's Alt music scene. Lyrically and musically nothing compares. The show itself was the best I've seen in quite a while. The venue was ideal and far and away better than the Sound Academy. I didn't see the other bands since I was only there for CTE so can't comment on their performance.

Foals are ALWAYS amazing live. Spanish Sahara was absolutely incredible! Yannis has such great energy onstage. He cannonballed into the audience! Unbelievable!

    Mind blowing!!!

by Trayb97 on 2011-05-02The Phoenix Concert Theatre - Toronto

This was the best show I've seen possibly ever... And I've seen MANY! The Naked and Famous and Freelance Whales blew me away! So freaking awesome! Foals were mind blowing. Yannis really worked the audience and threw himself off the stage twice to the delight of everyone there. Amazing live show. I'm still tingling from it.

    Foals

by ggts on 2011-05-02The Phoenix Concert Theatre - Toronto

Foals put on a good show. The sound was good and the crowd was awesome. My only complaint would be that they didn't play enough songs from their last album which, by the way, was nominated for the mercury prize 2010.

    Foals energy is gripping

by Rockadoodle on 2011-04-12Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

The naked and famous were good to see but need to work on their sound quality a bit it was sometimes tough to pick up the vocals. When Foals hit the stage they immediately grabbed a hold of the entire crowd and didn't let go until their encore. Just an awesome energy about the entire group and the way they played their instruments. It was gripping and amazing stuff. Would definitely recommend them to anyone.

If you go - then you'll know

by MCPhilly on 2010-09-267th Street Entry - Minneapolis

I've seen 100's of live shows since I've been old enough to start going to concerts. I have also had the fortunate luck to have seen some of the best live bands to ever grace a stage in their particular genre - ex, R.H.C.P, Pearl Jam, Tool, Muse, Bloc Party, The Roots, Mars Volta, etc..........but never have I been auspicious enough to enjoy a live show to this degree, with complete and utter satisfaction - being left (simply put) speechless. Foals played to a crowded room of apprx 250 fans, and blazed through an hour and 20 minute set that featured a mix of songs from both their studio releases - 'Antidotes' (2008) and the new album 'Total Life Forever' (2010). The band is amazing live. Tight, great sound, entertaining, and there just isn't a song in their catalogue not worthy of the highest of praise. When I look back on it I remember being right up front, being an absolute sweaty mess (as was the whole crowd), jumping, singing, and just trying to take it all in. I can't really get into too much more detail because it just wouldn't make sense in context unless you'd've been there. The group of 7 people I went with all agreed "Best show we'd each seen...ever". There was even a girl in our crew that had never heard them before and just wanted to come on a road trip with us - she was blown away. Life long fan now. To quote her after the show "Life altering experience". Hmmmmmm, yeah, that about sums it up.
