BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Named after a Cure song, the four-piece band Funeral Party was formed in Los Angeles by a group of friends who came together to jam in a local park one night. After performing throughout LA, the band attracted attention from the Mars Volta’s producer Lars Stalfors, who decided to record their first single “Chalice”. The group gained momentum from the track and became well known within the local indie scene. They broke out in 2011 with the album The Golden Age of Knowhere, which earned a Top 40 spot on the UK Albums chart and received major critical praise.
