It’s amazing to see Geddy and Alex talking to each other as if they were alone in one of their living rooms. The friendship and love that they have for each other is obvious and is part of why they were so successful together. Let’s hope for future collaborations of a musical nature in 2024. Loved it!
The show was everything and more than I expected. I had a feeling that if Alex was to make an appearance, then it would be this stop on the tour. Blah blah blah came on the screen and the crowd roared . What a night! Then Strombo... Then Ray Daniels as I was making my way out! along with other folks I had seen in Rush documentaries. Even without all of the extras it would have been spectacular. I am very greatful to have been in attendance. Thanks Geddy and the team!
Not long enough!!!! They could have going on for days and we would have loved every moment of it. Amazing to sit and listen to them reminiscing. Didn’t expect to get a copy of Geddys book so that too was a bonus!! Loved it!!
Geddy was in fine form kibitzing back and forth with special guest Alex Lifeson. It was incredible to see them together for two hours remembering over 50 years of shared experiences, giving us a show unique from all the others on the tour!
I could only describe Geddy Lee - My Effin' Life at Massey Hall as a love in between the remaining members of Rush and their adoring fans. Alex Lifeson reminisced with Geddy for the first hour of the evening and after a short 15 min intermission George Stroumboulopoulos first chatted with Geddy for a while before bringing Alex back on for some questions from the audience. You could tell by the multiple ovations that the crowd loved every minute of it. So so glad I went to this.
What a great night hanging out with Geddy Lee, and to have Alex Lifeson join him for the final night of the book tour in Toronto was amazing. The crowd was in stitches all night listening to the two of them banter back and forth and Alex made some great jokes. So much fun!
Attended this event with my adult son and daughter and we all really enjoyed it. Massey Hall was the perfect venue for this sort of thing. We were extremely grateful to each a receive a copy of his book and look forward to reading it. I hope Geddy and Alex get together again soon to write some more music.
Having Alex on stage to MC was the best, the equivalent of both being in your livingroom and telling their hilarious stories over a beverage or two. Couldn't stop laughing! The fan question period in the second half was a snorefest. So one star extracted for that.
Was so great to see Geddy Lee talk about his personal experiences off stage from making music. And having the cameo by Alex Lifeson as his interviewer made it all the more fun. Wow. For them to share past experiences and to open themselves up to promote the book was brilliant. Cheers to an amazing life and career.
Listening to Geddy and his guest Alex bantering back and forth discussing the years they’ve been together in RUSH was a very rare opportunity to see them together in an environment not before seen. They were casual and full of admiration for each other and of course their departed friend and partner Neil Peart. It was exceptional. I felt like family. The venue made it feel even more quaint and personal.
