great concert, venue, sound, all very good. Decent selection of songs, but could have done without the covers (well maybe not the Motorhead cover that was excellent) to drop in a few more deep cut songs from solo albums. The stage banter was dated, may have been appropriate in 70's but should have updated the banter to be a bit more relevant to today. Or maybe a bit of details around history of song, like done with War Machine and SPIT.
The concert was very good. Very load. Every band member can sing very well. I would go again. The only complaint was we waited almost an hour to get in and had to stand in line. There was a lot of people in there 60/70s with sore backs standing in line an extra hour.
Incredible show! OLG theatre was great, sound quality was superb . I would highly recommend seeing a live performance there. Gene Simmons was entertaining and got the crowd involved in the show. Fantastic is the word
I loved how this band played together. I'm a huge Kiss fan, and wondered if I'd like Gene playing with other people...I did. I hope to see them again
Iâm a huge huge KISS fan and the GEENE Simmons Band are incredible!!!! Amazing show, who needs flames and gimmicks with musicianship like this! Just an unbelievable performance I did find it extremely odd that GEENE had NO merch table? lol
The concert was amazing the 3 members that Gene got to play the set were out of this world !!! Talented musicians that can create amazing music and deliver on stage. Anyone who hasnât seen this concert is missing out. I know there are some skeptics out there but believe me it worth every penny. đ
I have been to so many concerts this summer, as well as being on vacation, that I haven't had time to write reviews for them all. I assure you they have all been great, but I wanted to go out of the way to review this one (almost a month later), particularly since Gene Simmons gets a lot of negative comments (for whatever reason). I thought that the show was awesome. It was in a smaller venue, which allowed people from the audience to go on stage occasionally. I was lucky enough to be one of 10 guys to go on stage to (help?) sing the chorus on the song "Do You Love Me?". An unforgettable moment, unfortunately not recorded anywhere (to my knowledge). The front row seats allowed me to meet Gene, get a photo with him, and an autograph.
The show was the best ... best time and money I ever spent I will go and see this again ..
The show started out a little weird - Gene spent the first 10 minutes tuning his bass and having his three guitarists do a soundcheck, while he told bad jokes. It seemed a little unprofessional, but as the show progressed I realized his style is informal and it really works for him. He had a great rapport with the audience and was very engaging, funny, and involved the audience a lot which was fun. The music was well played (good band!), but for me, was almost secondary to the stories he told. Overall a very entertaining show.
