  • A great sampling of the music of Genesis

by HeroZero on 2021-11-29Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

While it was sad to watch Phil Collins use a cane to cross the stage, he showed spirit in singing and his son, Nic filled in admirably, playing in the heavy-handed way of his father. Tony Banks, and Mike Rutherford, along with longtime touring guitarist Daryl Stuermer were a dynamo trio who upheld their end of the concert with perfection. While many fan-favourite songs did not make the set list, I was very happy to hear Home by the Sea, and loved Phil filling in for Peter Gabriel for Lamb Lies Down on Broadway and I Know What I Like. Ending the concert with 2 1/2 encores was nice. Good bye guys. Thanks for the memories.

  • Genesis/Revelations

by Gordo on 2021-11-29Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Getting into the Scotiabank Arena was by far a lot quicker that I envisioned, technology worked (QR code and digital tickets) scanning. Everybody was sticking to the game plan of wearing masks. I guess we had had several months of practise. With the internet, no real surprises. Numerous Set lists and reviews pretty much took care of any suspense. Only complaint was the price of tickets. They varied from seat to seat section to section but made for an expensive night.

  • Great Vibe from a Great Band

by Suzyq on 2021-11-29Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The enthusiasm from the audience never waned. We all knew this was probably the last time we would ever see Genesis together on a stage again. It was emotional. I was listening to songs being sung live which I had grown up with for decades! Invisible Touch had me on my feet, the impulse was too strong to stay seated. I loved the whole show and wouldn’t have missed it for the world.

  • Phil Collins & Genisis

by Expat on 2021-11-29Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

It was great to be at the concert which is probably the last time they will be appearing in Canada. Phil looked frail having to be seated through out the concert and helped off the stage. The band was very good playing the popular tracks of their albums.

Thanks to Genesis for a wonderful evening of Nostalgia. My daughter and I really enjoyed the experience. The lights, music and visual special effects captured your total attention. Thanks again for a memorable evening.

  • Great but

by Fan for over 40 yrs on 2021-11-29Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Awesome- fantastic light show. Phil lacked the energy and enthusiasm he once had and seemed frail, However Nic was phenomenal and brought energy to the show. Mike and Tony were as tight as always. Wish Phil had made more of an effort-shaved, put some cream on his head and worn something other than a track suit top. I know he has deteriorated which is out of his control but he looked like he just didn’t care and that detracted from the show experience.

  • Fantastic!!!

by MWL on 2021-11-29Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Great show. The sound was great. The lighting was fantastic. The band sounded superb. Nic was great on the kit!! Loved that entry was paperless and event was a no cash venue. Most people attending followed COVID protocols though the 6 ft rule was hard to maintain at times.

Great show except for the dick head behind us. Floor seats

  • Concert was excellent

by PK on 2021-11-29Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

The music and concert experience was excellent, from getting into the venue and the staff working the event. Unfortunately you will always have “those” people who don’t follow the rules (the group beside us never wore masks) that make it less enjoyable for others

  • Memorable Show from a great band

by mcconnia on 2021-11-29Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Well worth the expensive ticket. Outstanding musicianship. Phil has his issues but kudos to him for getting out there. Plenty to enjoy even for those that weren't big Genesis fans. Invisible Touch was my fave. Set was very well staged and as ever the staff at Scotiabank Arena did a fine job of getting everyone in on time safely.

Great sound quality and an excellent light show. Mostly newish material but some old stuff thrown in. All in all a memorable evening.
