    Different, but rockin!

by AH1974 on 2011-03-12Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

His sound is different in concert than original. 80;s sound was better, but did enough good songs like Black Cars and Wild Horses to warrant good grade! (Should've done Just a Motion Away!). Other rockin songs good, too!

    Gino is timeless!

by Howesoundhoney on 2011-03-08Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

I didn't know what to expect, not having followed Gino's career since the 80's. Would he be fat or - heaven forbid! - bald? Fortunately, he was neither of these things, and he looked and sounded like he did way back when. He also had his old disco moves and hardly stood still the entire concert. The concert was a great mixture of his classic hits, some new material, and updates on his family and career. The 50+ crowd was pretty sedate and didn't get up to dance until the last number but it was clear he had a lot of long-term fans in the audience. All in all, it was a lot of fun!

    Loved it!

by AngelaL on 2011-03-07Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

I remember Gino from the 70's and 80's and his voice is still amazing. He was very gracious doing a signing after the show. I can see why he still has such a strong following.

    Gino Vanelli

by purejoy2 on 2011-03-07Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Gino's remix of old favorities was fresh and proved without a doubt he is still a master of his craft. The band of musicians on tour with him are superb. You will not regret going to this concert series, the production is amazing and grab a cd while your at it.

    Dull and Boring

by Binkylove on 2011-03-07Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Show lacked pizzaz, excitement. No backup singers to help make the show more interesting, slow pace. Gino awkward and shy when addressing audience. Not interested in Gino's family slideshow - seems inappropriate. Where was that golden voice we used to listen to back in the 80's?. No beautiful high notes in "It Hurts To Be In Love". Hairstyle passe, black suit and glaring white shoes - looks weird.

    Gino was outstanding

by Ginofan1 on 2011-03-07Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

Great show by a fab singer. I have been a Gino fan since the early 70's. I have travelled to and seen several perfornances. This was simply wonderful. From the sublime vocals to the band, the little slide show, it was excellent. Would have been great to hear "Put the weight on my shoulder", but was wonderful to hear a song from "Canto". My compliments to the venue for sound. It took about 2 songs to get it right (was too loud in the beginning causing distortion) but after that it was fantastic.

The show was way too short

by budbud on 2011-03-07Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

For the cost of the ticket, the show was too short. Just over an hour long..for the price of the tickets a little disappointing.

    Gino sings on!

by lanab72 on 2011-03-07Red Robinson Show Theatre - Coquitlam

I was happily surprised at Gino's voice - still amazing! Hit every note perfectly and didn't alter one note in one song ,as so many of the other 'older' stars do to suit their aged voices. He dressed the part, very cool and my husband (who wasn't a big fan like I was) who is a musician loved the show also!

    Gino Outstanding at The Den

by Hedgeworks on 2010-10-10Bears Den At Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel - Niagara Falls

I had not seen this incredible performer for over 20 yrs. He opened with a solo vocal performance of Crazy Life. I knew from that first note he sang I was in for a wonderful night of music. The tone and timber in his voice brought me back to why I was a fan in the first place. He covered alot of territory in his expansive library of music that he wrote. Black Cars was done to a funk groove arrangement that vibrated your whole body. The horn section I believe were hired guns and did a nice job behind a hot solid band. Gino as always was a personable host with a touching video presentation of his younger years growing up with his family. The hits were all played and he sang a ballad in Italian in honour of his father that brought tears to your eyes. He closed with Brother to Brother and encored People Gotta Move. I can tell you he moved me. Thanks Gino! Outstanding
