Glass Petals (Felix Cartal & Johnny Jover) Tickets

This event was heavy on the disco DJ'ing, and a bit light on the drag performance aspect. Would have loved for the queens to have longer sets. It also seemed like the crowd didn't know how to tip performers which was a shame. Overall it felt more like the Granville street club-hopping crowd than the queer crowd we were hoping for. Event staff were helpful & reminded us to keep masks on (although the dance floor was not really tameable). Super nice barstaff. No ins or outs was annoying, and drinks were absurdly high priced (though we don't often go to Granville so perhaps this is the norm). I think there was also a bit of a shock as to how many people were in there - restrictions were only very recently lifted, and it's been a long time since we've been around so many people, so a bit scary. Tbh we probably shouldn't have eased capacity restrictions so soon, but oh well.

The music was super disappointing. Despite it being advertised as "disco night," it felt more like a rave. About 3 songs were well-known and only that's when the crowd really came alive.

The event description was very misleading. 80’s music (hardly disco music) was played for a couple of hours until they started playing House music. There was also supposed to be drag performances between each set. There was only one short performance the entire night. Extremely disappointing

Fun night, but very lacking in the disco music/disco vibe
