About

Glee Live! In Concert! brings the magic of the acclaimed television show Glee to audiences across the country, with members of the cast performing its celebrated covers live. Initially conceived as a small promotional stretch in Hot Topics stores throughout the US to plug the series’ soundtrack in the fall of 2009, the 2010 North American tour played 10 shows to thousands of ticket buyers in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and Phoenix at the end of Glee’s first season, generating buzz and praise from fans and critics alike in the wake of the massive success of the show. After the conclusion of the show’s second season, the following 2011 tour sold nearly 500,000 tickets over 40 concerts in the US and UK. Some of the many talented performers that have graced the stage during Glee Live! include Dianna Agron as Quinn Fabray, Chris Colfer as Kurt Hummel, Kevin McHale as Artie Abrams, Lea Michele as Rachel Berry, Heather Morris as Brittany Pierce, Amber Riley as Mercedes Jones, Naya Rivera as Santana Lopez, Mark Salling as Noah "Puck" Puckerman, Harry Shum Jr. as Mike Chang, Jenna Ushkowitz as Tina Cohen-Chang, and the late Cory Monteith as Finn Hudson. Some of their most popular covers, including Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing,” Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way,” and Barbara Streisand’s “Happy Days Are Here Again/Get Happy,” are sure to captivate audiences of both Gleeks and non-Gleeks.

It was a good show, and I enjoyed all the numbers they did - it was as fun as watching Glee! But I was disappointed with the length. The show lasted for just over an hour, and I felt with so many cast members who aren't all singing and dancing at the same time, they definitely could have gone on for longer.

Glee was awesome!!! I would reccommend this show to many, especially fans of the show. They peform a variety of songs, so there is something for everybody. You can't help but sing and dance the entire time that you are there! I would have definitly have gone again if I could have. You will have such an amazing time!

    GLEE WAS LOTSA FUN!

by MissMusicManiac on 2011-06-30Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Myself and another adult took her tween daughter to the show and we were thoroughly impressed with the Glee production. I didn't know what to expect of a short summer tour, but the pyro, huge screens and lit up stage definitely superceded my expectations. I liked how everyone stayed in character. Good flow as there was literally no downtime between songs. I also laughed at the video inclusion of Coach Sue and Mr. Shue. Very well done! I am also a fan of the show and I thought that the talented cast did a great job of singing, dancing and thoroughly entertaining the crowd. It was a fun night out! I hope they tour more Canadian dates next year!

    GLEE Live did not disappoint!

by rdimatteo on 2011-06-26Air Canada Centre - Toronto

GLEE live was an amazing show. The singing and dancing was phenomenal. It was worth seeing and the performances were significantly better then when you watch the television show. Lea Michele's performances were spectacular and they blew me away. You truly were able to see the full potential of her talent in a live arena. The stamina of the cast is amazing as they were constantly singing and dancing without stop.

Glee Live Toronto June 11 3 pm 2011

by CCMarino on 2011-06-22Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Best concert ever!!!!! Perfect mix of songs, exciting pace, great "love In" between the stars and their public, which includes people from the young to the old. As big as the Beatles (and I remember their concert tours). Long wait but worth it once it started and that excitment lasted to the final bow. I understand why it could not have been longer - super high energy from the wonderful cast.

    Disappointed...not Gleeful...

by Boredtodeath on 2011-06-21Air Canada Centre - Toronto

I am a diehard GLEEK and was looking forward to a solid 2-3 hours of Glee music but was sorely disappointed to arrive for 8pm, watch an irrelevant dance troupe waste an hour, then have the Glee gang sing only for an hour with a 20min encore...Nor did they take advantage of the sheer vocal talent they all share with the song selections they made...I was irritated that with almost 50-70 hours of recorded music to choose from, they only played for one!?! What a waste...I'll still watch the show and download my favourite tunes, but unless this show can actually provide some value for the dollars, I'll pass next time...pity since they're so talented and the musical arrangements are spectacular!!!
