    Great show

by Youngster on 2014-03-12Hamilton Place Theatre - Hamilton

The show put on by both the actors and the band was terrific. The band were tight and never came across as an orchestra band but seemed like they were playing in their garage. The sound of the singing started off a bit muted but they seemed to sort that a couple of songs in. My only complaint was the services provided in the theater could have been better.

    American idiot stinks

by Yuck on 2014-03-12Hamilton Place Theatre - Hamilton

Vulgar and offensive. Story hard to follow . Not worth the money. Left before the end. Don't go.

    Very good show!

by SeanB on 2014-03-12Hamilton Place Theatre - Hamilton

Really enjoyed the show, and it just got better as the night went on. The actors were all very talented, and seemed to have a passion for the music and the story that Billie Joe wrote. Sound was really good, lighting and effects were fantastic and the stage setup was amazing.

You'd be an Idiot not to attend this performance!

by Glitter on 2013-12-10Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Well done my friends, well done. An amazing show with 'can't sit still' music. Took all my strength not to get up and dance and rock out to this incredible performance. Green Day had a hit with the album all those years ago and this one follows in those footsteps. You will not be disappointed.

    American Idiot

by db2010 on 2013-12-08Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

I thought this play was the best I have seen in a long time. High energy, talented actors and musicians. I did not see the 1.5 hours go by and the encore with all the acoustic guitars was just an excellent way to finish off this show. I loved it.

Green Day & theatre fans rejoice!

by Rozz on 2013-12-04Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

I was bummed out when I missed seeing this in Broadway. It apparently finished its run 3 months before I went to New York. So when I heard it was coming to town, I immediately got tickets. So glad I got tickets. I've seen Green Day in concert, at least once, possibly twice (can't remember). I really like the 2 albums "American Idiot" was based on. Also, I'm a big musical theatre fan. (That trip to New York consisted of me going to 7 Broadway shows). Suffice it to say, I knew the songs. I liked the story. The cast was excellent. They all had strong voices and solid performances. There were only a couple of times that the music drowned out the voices, but for the most part, there was a good mix. I was also amused by the "conductor/keyboardist" at the side of the stage. But overall, a good ensemble cast. This show appeals to those who like theatre and Green Day, and that's me!

    Great show

by SteveAldredEdmonton on 2013-12-03Northern Alberta Jubilee - Edmonton

Highly recommend this show. I'm not a huge Green Day fan but do like their music. Doesn't really matter, you will enjoy the show. The cast are awesome! Everyone here in Edmonton loved it. My favourite part was Wake me when September ends! I was totally in the zone for that song.

    American Idiot was great

by Countrygirl7 on 2013-12-01Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

For anyone who actually lived the 90's you were able to relate to the amazing story line and all the characters. I think somewhere sometime we all knew or could relate to one or more of the characters.

by YaLLeY on 2013-11-30Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

From start to finish, this 90 minute journey through the album American Idiot (with some 21st century Breakdown as well) is packed with in your face choreography, set design, costume changes and of course, Green Day!! I've watched this show in New York and I can say that the travelling version is EQUALLY AS GOOD!!! If you have the chance to see this, GO SEE IT!

    American Idiot was GREAT

by Nell5 on 2013-11-30Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

the play was great , had a very entertaining evening. Actors/singers were awesome. The set was great and LOVED the live band!!!!!! I did however feel a bit uncomfortable with some of the very adult content knowing there were children present. Including my own. I dont remember there being an advisory when purchasing the tickets. I would definitely go again

    Walked out

by Kikikins08 on 2013-11-30Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

The swearing was so terrible that we had to leave in the first 15 mins! I am super irritated that we spent $168 plus fuel since we live at out of town.... Super unimpressed! They didn't have to be that crude with language... Maybe a few if need be.

American Idiot: Broadway and Punk Perfection!

by Jocey011 on 2013-11-29Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Finally a Broadway musical that captivates for 90 minutes straight without an intermission to slow things down. A thoroughly enjoyable, energetic show for Green Day and Musical fans. Note to audience: Stay until the very end to see the cast sing and play "Time of your Life" .

    American Idiot was great!

by MaureenS on 2013-11-29Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

The actors/dancers/singers were all very talented. You have to like Green Day music of course, otherwise don't bother going. I enjoyed the way all the Green Day music was put together in the musical. I would recommend it.
