    Gregory Porter is amazing!

by JDKL on 2018-06-28Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre - Toronto

Gregory Porter was not only amazing, but in the words of his unofficial mentor, he was 'unforgettable'. His smooth, silky voice and oh his range, very moving! Oh and Mr. Porter I loved the message you were trying to convey. :-)

Gregory Porter has such an amazing voice. We love that he writes his own music, so gifted. The group performed exceptionally well together. Each performer brought so much talent to the stage. Thank you.

    What a Voice!!

by jeffthechef on 2014-06-22Manitoba Theatre Centre - Winnipeg

From the first note Gregory sang I had chills - the hair was literally standing up on my arms. As I said to my son, a university jazz student, 'now this guy is a star!' 'Dad, he's the real deal.' If you thought that Gregory's recorded voice packs a whallop, hearing him live takes his vocal presence and dynamic range to a whole other level. What's more, he's funny and charming between songs - you can't help but like him. 90 minutes of great songs backed by a talented band, One day Gregory will be talked about in the same breath as Marvin Gaye, Bill Withers, Luther Vandross and Otis Redding.
