    Grey Cup Festival 2019

by Tricky Dicky on 2019-11-27McMahon Stadium - Calgary

Loved having all of the Team parties in one building plus all of the outdoor activities at the Stampede grounds. Just made mobility at lot easier. Indoor tailgate on Sunday was great; Brett Kissel was awesome. Not sure if we got fair value for the $85.00 entry fee. Insufficient seating especially for the seniors. Picking up one's bag from the bag check was a frustrating experience (need to manage the lines better!!!). Grey Cup game was really good and half time show with Keith Urban was probably the best in my 21 years of attending Grey Cup.

    What a show!

    by E. B. on 2019-11-27McMahon Stadium - Calgary

Well planned and put together. Great events for all ages. Rodeo was a fantastic idea and was done very well. Keith Urban put on a fantastic half time show. The outdoor tailgate party was really fun and a good way to get people together before the game. Only thing I would suggest was to have had some more choices for food at the Grey Cup festival grounds at the Stampede showcasing the great BBQ style food that Calgary is famous for like BBQ ribs, hamburgers, hotdogs, smokies etc. Not just the regular food that is served from behind the counter. Thanks for an awesome Grey Cup experience!!

    Great time

by Kate on 2019-11-27McMahon Stadium - Calgary

Music was perfect for getting the crowd geared up before the game. Bar accessibility was good; enough venues and timely service. Could have had more tables but otherwise very good.

    Brett Kissel after party

    by K. P. on 2019-11-27McMahon Stadium - Calgary

Terrible!!! Made people pay 100 dollars to get in and then gave everyone free admission anyways. Total rip off.

    Poor experience

by Not happy on 2019-11-27McMahon Stadium - Calgary

The band was good but the same one as in the stamps room Friday night and same show. $35 plus plus to stand around in line for a beer and crappy food and expensive hamburgers and hot dogs. Complete money grab in the same location where I tailgated all season long with friends and good food for nothing. Complete money grab. You fooled me this time, but not again. Grey cup tickets ridiculously expensive. I The whole experience was forgettable. As a result, I will not be renewing my stamps season tickets next year. The game itself was fine though.

    Best Party/Rodeo

by Klam on 2019-11-27Stampede Corral - Calgary

GreyCup 2019 was a great weekend party. The greycup rodeo was a amazing addition. Great action, moans and groans from cowboys and girls showing their amazing abilities. Not sure how they do it but “Ouch!”

    A Great Canadian Concert Experience

by Crzybty on 2019-11-26Big Four Roadhouse - Calgary

Dear Rouge and Our Lady Peace had great energy; could've done without I Mother Earth tho as having all three bands made it a long evening on a cement floor. We ended up sitting along the wall for awhile since all the seating was taken. Music sounded much better closer to the stage as the acoustics at the back of the hall weren't great. We did enjoy how big the hall was as we never felt like we were in a crowd of people making it much easier to wander around.

    Grey cup half time show.

by Tom on 2019-11-26Stampede Corral - Calgary

You ripped off all the spectators on the east side of the stadium for the performances at the grey cup game. The performers were facing the west side. The performers equipment blocked any view of the performers and the visual effects. Was advised earlier that the showcase would be at the end zone , the same as the musical performances during the season. Please inform as to how to get compensation .

    Great show!

by Lisa on 2019-11-26Scotiabank Saddledome - Calgary

Loved the skill, talent and comradery of the Cheerextravanga! Phenomenal show! I was only dissatisfied with ticketmaster in regards to only being able to have the ticket on my phone rather than being able to print it... Not all people have phones that are smart! And our party of 4 arrived separately.. Transferring tickets to them and having them create an acct was a hassle. Please allow the capability of printing!

    Best festival since Regina

by TopFan on 2019-11-26Stampede Corral - Calgary

Awesome featival, perfect location. Just wish goverments would stop treating tax payers like children when it comes to drinking. To be corralled and roped off, like we're violent criminals, to enjoy a beer, is just annoying. I can walk around with a drink without getting into a fight like most adults. That needs to be improved, like the 2 drink maximum at stadiums. It would clear line ups and keep people in their seats instead of constantly getting up

    Greycup Rodeo YAHOO

    Grey Cup Concert

by Brian on 2019-11-26Big Four Roadhouse - Calgary

We had a great time at the Concert. The bands were really good, especially OLP. There could have been a few more tables/stand up tables for more people to stand or sit at. The crowd wasn't probably a typical crown for these bands, a bit older, where a few more tables and chairs would have been better. A great venue, a great show, a great night.

    Grey Cup Rodeo

by Brian on 2019-11-26Stampede Corral - Calgary

We had a great time at the Grey Cup Rodeo, but did have a few concerns. 1) The rodeo participants were good, but not Calgary Stampede quality... I get it, very good for my guests that have never been to a rodeo before. 2) George Canyon was great, but him being hidden behind the screen was really weird. It is great to listen to his music, it was ok to watch him on a screen, but there is nothing like actually seeing him in person. It's like listening to him on the TV or radio, not the same as seeing him in person. 3) The Cheer team was a great touch All in all, we had a good time and really enjoyed ourselves.

    Grey Cup Rodeo

    by F. N. on 2019-11-26Stampede Corral - Calgary

Fun event. Loved the added concert by George Canyon. If you havent been to the Calgary Stampede Rodeo before, this was a nice intimate version of that. Beers were a bit expensive though!

Embracing planetary destruction & destroying our kids future

by Green Man on 2019-11-26Scotiabank Saddledome - Calgary

The decision by the CFL to promote the expansion of fossil fuels as part of their festival was a bad one. Scientists tell us we need to phase out fossil fuels to keep our planet liveable. The choice by the CFL to ignore science and promote oil industry propaganda to impressionable children made this event a distasteful experience, and even worse, an immoral and unethical festival. I apologize to any parents who were not warned, before exposing their children to an event about destroying their kids' future for convenience and profit. Kudos to Nissan for having the Leaf test drive. Now searching for a more sustainable sport. Maybe Formula E will come to town.

    Over priced for the venue

    by D. M. on 2019-11-26Big Four Roadhouse - Calgary

OLP was great! Not enough staff to service the room spent more time in lines than needed. Waay over priced for the venue and what was offered!

Half-time stage facing half the stadium

by Long time CFL fan on 2019-11-25Scotiabank Saddledome - Calgary

Keith Urban was great! on the big screen for me and 15,000 other fans. Too bad the organizers chose to ignore half of the fans. I don't get why the stage wasn't facing north where 90% of the fans could see the show. The change in orientation would have moved the stage maybe 20 yards, and it would still be good for TV.

    CFL Player awards: Scotiabank Saddledome

by AJ on 2019-11-24Scotiabank Saddledome - Calgary

We have attended numerous previous player awards, including two previous Grey Cups in Calgary. We have attended the event in Toronto, Vancouver and Edmonton. This was by far the worst venue we have experienced. it was extremely difficult to find out any details of the event (ie: food service) and the crowd was dwarfed by the venue.
