I saw Hanson in September 2010 in Vancouver (drove from Lethbridge, Alberta just to see them). I must say that they put on a fabulous show and that was the best concert I have ever seen. Totally worth any price to go see these guys.
What an awesome show! Hanson always puts their all into every show they do and this one was no exception. From the first note they played on "Waiting for This" to the last harmonized note on "A Song to Sing" you could definetly tell these guys love what they do, and even more, they appreciate their fans sticking by them for the last 14 years.
Absolutely the best concert we've ever been to and we've been to a lot! The only downside was that at the Commodore we wanted to buy T-shirts, waited in line forever, and when it was finally our turn were told CASH ONLY!! So we left with nothing because we, along with many others, don't carry cash these days. I guess we'll just have to wait for them to come back and get our T's because OH YEAH, we will definitely see them again!!!
had an enjoyable experience at the commodore ballroom. It was in a great location and the staff were very helpful. enjoyed the atmosphere and the option to sit down and eat (if you got in early enough) the music was amazing!
Everything I expected... it was worth to wait 13 years... watching their concert was an amazing experience...
Nothing beats a Hanson show, but this one was absolutely AMAZING. Last date of the tour so they went all out. WHAT. A. NIGHT.
Hanson was AMAZING! They played all their best new songs to their old classics. They even came back with an encore featuring songs from their Christmas album Snowed In. I felt like a teenager again.. so much fun.
One of the most underrated bands...so full of talent and passion! Took two of my daughters (ages 8 and 6) to the show with me and we all had a fantastic time! Can't wait for them to return to Toronto!
The only downside to this event was some of the people in attendance. With the incredibly close crowds I couldn't even clap for most of the concert, and the girl in front of me kept smacking me in the chin with her head, and yet it was still AMAZING. The song choices were excellent (with encores being Christmas music!) and the brothers truly seemed to be into it. They were onstage nearly continuously for over two hours but didn't seem to lose any enthusiasm in the process.
The concert was amazing, their voices are great, love the songs they sang old and new as well as finished with some Christmas songs :D Great as we are headed into that time of year. It was also very cool that they did a 1km walk with fans before the show to raise awareness and money for kids in Africa, to provide fresh drinking water, meds, education and shoes. The walks are called "the walk" just as their previous album, and it started and still is a barefoot walk (obviously your choice if you go barefoot but they always do) to raise awareness that most people in Africa don't even have shoes, something we take for granted here in North America. It was great, they are truly great guys, with great voices, who play their own instruments great, with great ticket prices and care about their fans greatly...it was GRRREAT!! :D
Concert was awesome, I saw them earlier this year, and they sounded even better this time. The Christmas encore was an awesome surprise!!!
These guys have grown so much since they mmboped their way to the top! Their music has evolved so much and their work with Toms shoes is inspiring! Absolutely amazing concert that I would go see again and again. 100% satisfied!
I was pretty surprised at how packed the Guvernment was for Hanson to perform. I know there are a ton of Hanson fans in Toronto, but it seemed like a lot of people came in from other parts of Ontario for this show. It's been a couple years since Hanson last performed here and It was definitely worth the wait. They sounded better than ever and they kept the crowd very happy. If you like Hanson and have never seen them live I recommend it, you won't be disappointed and plus they always play MMMBOP :)
I wasnt even a Hanson fan ever but had read previous reviews and thought to give it a go and not a moment regret. They were fantastic as was the crowd and one of the most fun concerts I had been to in all of my life and I am NOT twenty. They made everyone feel younger by half at least. Terrific show!
Hanson played an unbelievable show on Tuesday night!!!! AMAZING!!!!!!!! Their setlist included songs off of all of their albums. They looked great and were very personable with the crowd.
I have been to many Hanson shows.... but I have to say, this was one of the best !!! The show was amazing. High energy, 25 song set-list! The crowd was great- the place was packed! And the venue could not have been better, in terms of sound quality, etc. I hope Hanson come back again soon -and play Guvernment again---!!
Saw the tour in Chicago in August, and in Toronto this week, and absolutely loved every second of both shows. They are such amazing live performers, are so engaged with the audience, and play the perfect combination of old and new music. Love, love, loved it!
Hanson has really seperated themselves from their boy band ways of the 90'. People need to let go of mmmbop and take hanson for what they are, Amazingly Talented . The sound better live then they do on the CD and in this era of musicians that is a BIG DEAL. I would highly suggest listening to some of the new stuff and check them out next time they are in town.
The three brothers from Tulsa, Oklahoma made my first Hanson experience an unforgettable one. Being a fan of theirs since 1997, I was pretty excited to be at my first Hanson show. They played everything from their new album Shout it Out to their first Middle of Nowhere. Their voices, harmonies absolutely beautiful. Their opening act Jarrod Gorbel was as well very good and entertaining. I wish the night did not end. Just when you thought the show was over they played 4 more songs. Than they played with Jarrod Gorbel and left the stage. Thinking the show was over, people began to leave. I knew it was not over since the lights had not come back on. Sure enough the brothers return to the stage and played 2 of their songs from their christmas album "Snowed In". They played "Merry Christmas Baby" and " Run Rudolph Run". I wish the night never ended, and I cannot wait to get back to my boys.
Hanson were much more amazing live! They played more or less 15 songs. and some songs from their as old as time albums that only gets better with time. and oh they still sang "mmm bop" and "This Time Around" for finale. all in all it was an amazing show. :)
