About

HAYWYRE IN CONCERT:

Electronica producer and piano virtuoso Haywyre set the electronic music world on fire in 2014 when his jazz-literate cover of Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal" went viral. Haywyre has been tickling the ivories over dubstep tracks since 2008, and during that time he's actively bucked the perception that electronic musicians "just push play," showing off his insane skills on the keyboard during his banging live sets. In concert he brings his improvisational chops to bear on funky covers, while crowd-pleasing originals like "Endlessly," "Insight," and "I Am You" reveal a gift for composition that rewards music mavens without alienating club kids that just want to get lost in the groove. For ticket buyers looking for a musically inventive show that doesn't sacrifice hard-hitting EDM grooves, Haywyre's non-stop party soundtrack and swinging jazz flourishes will get crowds bouncing along all night long.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOTS:

American-born, Austrian-raised Martin Vogt began his study of classical piano at the age of seven. When he moved back to the States in 2008, he began composing and performing electronic productions under the name Haywyre. He self-recorded and released his debut full-length Lotus the following year, introducing listeners to his signature blend of jazz keyboards over hip hop and dubstep-inspired productions. Things took off for the young producer when he took an internship at Monstercat Records in 2013, signing with them the same year and heading out on tour with labelmate Gramatik. He released his fifth full-length Two Fold, Pt. 1 in 2014, right around the time his cover of Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal" went viral. Vogt took advantage of the breakthrough moment by releasing celebrated remixes of ODESZA's "All We Need" and Black Sun Empire & Noisia's "Hideous." As Haywyre he continues to thrill fans with his refined yet invigorating live sets and prolific recorded output, which includes 2016's Two Fold, Pt. 2.
