My daughter thought it was simply the best. That's all I needed to hear.
Great performance. All of the percormers did an absolute wonderful job.
I went to see HSM Summer Celebration with my 5 year old daughter on the weekend and she loved it! Her eyes were glued to the stage the entire show. The performers appeared to be lip sinking for most of the show but it was still entertaining. The young members of the audience didn't notice the lip sinking - I think the show was really directed to children 8 & under. They danced to all of the popular songs from HSM 1, 2 & 3. It wasn't quite what I expected but as I said, my 5 year old loved it and I really enjoyed seeing her have a good time along with all the other young audience members!!!
THe show was wonderful. My daughter really enjoyed it. The biggest complaint we have is that there was nothing to purchase from the show. My daughter would have liked a memento and I wouldn't have minded a program just to read about the people in the production. This is the first event that I have attended and there was absolutely nothing to purchase. My daughter enjoyed the show, but was very disappointed that she could not bring something home. Me too!
The dancing was amazing but I was not impressed with the fact that did not sing their own music
Although HSM Summer Celebration was fantastic, it ended a little soon for me to feel I really got a $51 (+ all the service charges value).
A great show for the young and old. Fantastic dancing. Very interactive. And the characters even looked like the characters from the movies.
I am giving this event a fantastic review. It was a birthday present for my daughter and she had so much fun. I have three kids and I always try to find ways to do something solo with each of them. This was a fantastic opportunity and will be a great memory for both of us to have, Thank you Wired 96.3 for making it happen. You made my little girls birthday one to remember. She was all smiles!
My husband, myself, and two daughters went to this event and thoroughly enjoyed it! They casted the crew very well from their looks to their moves, they were awesome! I would recommend anyone of any age to attend.
Our 6 year old girls loved it. Would've liked to purchase some souveniers but they weren't selling any
Great show for the whole family. The stars did a wonderful job of bringing the movies to life. Dancing was incredible-same as in the movies. The stars all looked liked like the real thing too!
There were so many screaming girls it was incredible. The show was fantastic!
I took My daughter to the Musical And she likes it alot. I was happy to see her singing and dancing to all the songs. I thought the singing (if at all was real) it wasn't too bad. I thought it was strange that they never sold any souveniers. I have not been to any Childrens musicals, Concert or anything that did not sell any thing. I like to but something from these so my daughter can have something to remember this event! Overall rating was On her part Very good. My overall rating was for how much the tickets were it could have been longer.
We were expecting more of a play that told the story of High School Musical. This is simply people dressed up dancing to the songs, lip syncing and narrating comments in between. Don't get me wrong, they danced hard and knew the words that they were lip syncing, they even did a decent job of imitating the characters movements that they were portraying. But to watch adults jump around lip syncing, I'd pass next time. Rather disappointing. Even my kids, who loved the movie wondered what was going on. They would never bother with it again. Too much $ for what it was.
I did not think this was a good value for the money. The songs were all pre-recorded and the dancing was almost identical to the movie. Some of the audience interaction was very good. My 8 year old daughter loved it however.
My daughter's had a blast - they sang and danced in the aisle almost throughout the whole show. They were quick to point out though, that some of the actors did NOT look like the real characters, eventhough I had warned them of this; Troy, however was a bang on look alike! The show had a slow start and took a while to gain momentum and audience attention. The disappointing part for me, was that all songs were lip synched, and the show was missing the overall pizzazz factor. I expected a Disney production to have brought more to the stage at $50 a ticket....
It was more like watching a concert as it was just musical numbers. There was no story line.
The show in itself was very good--the music and dancing was awesome but the acoustics wasn't that great.--sometimes you couldn't hear Kelsey very clear and we were sitting in Row F--so pretty close.
My girls loved this one!! They danced and sang with the group the whole time. The mom's enjoyed it as well....we thought Troy was amazing and had his part down!!
I took my 11 year old daughter to High school musical last night. We had been to the show on ice earlier in the year. This was absolutely amazing. The actors/actresses were extremely good. Especially the actor that played Troy. I even commented to my daughter that he must have worked very hard studying Troy because he had every move down. I felt like I was in the movie. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed it, as did I. It was great to see the interaction with the audience as well. Those 2 little girls that were on stage, and the one that sang in the audience...what a moment for them to remember. Great Job Cast. Well Done.
