    Skating with curt browning

by Anonymous on 2013-12-09Langley Events Centre - Langley

Parking was a challenge, The event was good, moved quickly through the different skaters. Holly Ole and her band were excellent. I felt that it was overcharged considering it was an event for t.v. With retakes etc, they need us in the audience to add volume for their recordings and i feel that we were overcharged.

    Festival on Ice a success

by skategroupy on 2013-12-09Langley Events Centre - Langley

Holly Cole was amazing with her energy, voice and enthusiasm. The skaters were ultimate with their skills, fitness, and patience with the retakes at the end. This event really got you in the holiday mood. I strongly recommend watching the event on CBC on Dec 18th at 9:00 p.m. Wonderful to see the Langley ice arena; an intimate setting.

    Something for Everyone

by Puff15 on 2012-12-05Langley Events Centre - Langley

The 2012 LEC Holiday Festival on Ice was a memorable family event and offered something for everyone, young and old --- comedy, acrobatics, lyrical interpretation, martial arts on ice, romance, flirtation, and even a trip down memory lane with Kurt Browning's interpretation of Gene Kelly's dancing to "Singing in the Rain". Very enjoyable!

Thrilled to see Kurt's "Singing in the Rain" program live! All of his programs were so entertaining. He is so talented! Jeff was mesmerizing with his skating skills and interpretation of the music. Enjoyed seeing Joanie and Shawn too - in fact - enjoyed the whole show.

    WASTE OF MONEY

by Anonymous on 2012-12-03Langley Events Centre - Langley

Paid for VIP seating and was sat in a regular section. When I asked about this I was flippantly told "the skaters will be in a lounge upstairs". Kurt Browning did not take the mike and address the audience. Very amature production and definitely not worth the extra money I spent on "premium tickets".

    Elvis stole the show!

by SkatingFanForever on 2012-12-03Langley Events Centre - Langley

Having been a fan of Elvis, Kurt, Jeff, Shawn & Joannie for a long time, it was so nice to sit front and centre and watch these 5 up close. Fav numbers were Joannie's "Formidable", Kurt's hockey skate number (Loved the Taller/Toller t-shirt!), Shawn's "Allegria" was amazing - totally suited him. Kimmy's second skate was really good. BOTH of Elvis' solo's were rock solid, clean, energetic . . . "My Sharona" was great! Big thumbs down to maintenance who left way too much water on the ice at intermission and put a big "damper" in some of the numbers in the 2nd half.

Skating was cool, but the show lacked something

by SusieMac on 2012-12-03Langley Events Centre - Langley

Good skating of course...music was well enough chosen but the recorded vocalist(s) were very hard on the ear...loud and grating...like modern singers who affect jazz to mangle the national anthem, the music was harsh..didn't like it for most of the show, except a couple of numbers. Highlight of the show was Singing in the Rain....Every year I take my 8 grandchildren to the Pantomine and thought the ice show would be a nice change. It wasn't cheap buying 10 tickets, - Next year, back to the Panto.. 1/3 of the price, and way more enjoyable....

Kurt Browning"Singing in the rain"was my highlight

by thecoinguy on 2012-12-03Langley Events Centre - Langley

Good programn but how come the National Anthem was not sung or played? This is Canada and I thought it was normal to have the National Anthem either sang or played.Am I wrong? Please do not make an excuse that you are afraid of offending someone or whatever. This is Canada the home of the free

Amazing skaters! Disappointed with Event Centre.

by skatermommy on 2012-12-03Langley Events Centre - Langley

Amazing, wonderful, skaters! They clearly love doing what they do and it shows! Kurt Browning and Elvis Stojko were AMAZING and funny!! Tons of interaction with the crowd! The Langley Events Centre was a disappointment though. After paying for the most expensive seat, on the ice, I had to practically share it with the man next to me! The seats were hinged together, so you couldn't separate them for comfort. I would have preferred to pay for the seats in the stands, where at least you could have sat in your own seat. They also failed to sell any souvenirs or programs at ice level, which I would have bought if they had been available.

    Holiday festival was mediocre

by happygramma2 on 2012-12-03Langley Events Centre - Langley

So great to see Elvis was in fine form. He was a joy to watch! There were a lot of group skates that were not up to par and so many falls by the women skaters. The men in all, were stars and did a phenomenal skate. For the price, I feel it fell short! The music was very loud - far beyond what was required and I felt the female opera stars singing was far too heavy and just didn't seem to fit in the program.

    Holiday on Ice was Fabulous!!!

by Anonymous on 2012-12-03Langley Events Centre - Langley

The show was fantastic! My only thing is my friend's little girl is a figure skater. She wanted some of the skaters to sign her ice skates. There was not a meet and great. The show was still very good!

Kirk Browning et al were unforgettable.

The Holiday on Ice Figure Skating Show was simply enchanting. All of the skaters gave their all and charmed the entire crowd. I had a chance to have my photo taken with Kurt after the show, and he was charming and gracious.

It was a good show, great to see all those skaters perform live. It seemed a bit low key definitley not as exciting as a competition.

    It was OK

by hawgwild on 2010-12-07Prince George CN Centre - Prince George

Good skating I guess, but not much of a SHOW. After the first half it started to feel REALLY LONG.
