It was an amazing experience with a dynamic orchestra and charismatic conductor.

The tickets for this performance were purchased as a birthday gift for my wife who is a big fan of the Planets Suite by Holst. We were both looking forward to the performance. However we knew that the entire suite was only about 50 minutes long so we knew there had to be something extra. We were very pleasantly surprised by the pieces that were performed during the first half of the evening. They were quite avant garde, and enjoyable. They showcased the talent of the orchestra and the additional musicians. Then of course the second half of the evening was the Planets Suite. It was Exceptional! Many thanks to the whole musical ensemble for an extremely enjoyable evening.

The NAC Orchestra was Fabulous! SO much more to hear live than when you listen to a recording of The Planets. Highly recommend!

An amazing performance of my favourite Orchestral Suite! I found the ‘’enhanced’’ Orchestra brought extra magic to a brilliant performance, conducted by Maestro Alexander Shelley. I would see this again in a heartbeat. Beautiful and sublime.

The recent performance of Holst's The Planets by the National Centre Orchestra was spectacular! The stage was filled to capacity by the orchestra and some guest members, and the sound created was absolutely wonderful. Our favourite part of the piece is always Jupiter, part of which we used for our wedding march. We also really enjoyed the opening comments provided by the conductor, Andrew Shelley, which were both informative and amusing.
