The whole place and the orchestra gave a very welcoming atmosphere, the professionalism and casualness was well balanced. Hoping there will be a part 2 🥹❤️

CPO performance was fantastic accompanying a great movie and making it better. First time to one of these shows, definitely not the last.

An awesome night with Calgary Philharmonic filling the Jube with the beautiful score to How to Train Your Dragon in perfect sync with the movie. When I buy tickets to these sorts of events, my wallet gives a little gasp. Then I attend and think, "This is SO worth it."My HTTYD loving "cool"teen had tears in her eyes, we laughed and cheered along with everyone else. We're watching out for an announcement for HTTYD #2 with the Calgary Phil!

  • A Concert & a Movie - Would Do Again

It was wonderful to focus on the talented musicians in the orchestra and truly hear the music. It’s so easy to take it for granted while watching a movie.

  • A Transcendent Experience 🤩

by Abi on 2025-05-20Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

The Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra brought to life a beautiful and beloved heartfelt film. Truly a phenomenal experience, they were so in sync that it seemed effortless. Nothing compared to the emotion expressed by live music, and it was absolutely fantastic to be endowed with their talent, hard work and passion for the music to create a one of a kind experience, it felt like flying (maybe on a dragon 😉).

  • Fabulous performance!

by Julie-Ann on 2025-05-20Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

The philharmonic performed beautifully and was spot on with their timing to match the movie. I cried multiple times being able to watch the talent and coordination between all the performers in playing my favorite soundtrack from John Powell in How To Train Your Dragon. Such a great experience to see the effort that goes into making the soundtrack to this movie so wonderful! I’ve also seen their LOTR concert and both times the Philharmonic performed beautifully and we love being able to watch our favorite movies with live music. Highly recommend watching any of their performances!

This was my first time attending a live concert and it was the best experience ever. During the movie I forgot that the orchestra was right there that’s how in sync they were. The director is great and every musician were amazing

Wow. Absolutely incredible, unparalleled experience. Such a fantastic, emmersive way to watch something. I've loved this soundtrack since the second I heard it years ago and to get to hear it live was just the best.
