Excellent show, great old and new songs. Really connected and engaged the crowd. Not afraid to slap a hand or take selfies with people of all ages! Great site with great seats!

Have to say this is one of the best shows I have seen in a long time. The music was awesome, the set simple and the audience involvement was excellent. A great musician, this is a concert not to miss.

We had such a good time. Huey & the band played all the hits and a couple of new things as well. I'm not usually into hearing new material at a concert but this was pure Huey Lewis And The News, fit right in with their classics. I danced the whole time!!

I've liked HL&TN since the 80's, this was my first time to one of their concerts (sorry Huey! as he does poll the audience). I regret not having seen them before, I didn't know they were going to be THAT good. Huey is awesome. Not only is he, and the band, talented musically, he really knows how to connect with the crowd. We were on the floor and he got everybody up - singing, clapping and participating. They've got their performance fine tuned and perfected, he's got it going on! He gives 100% to his performance, no slacking there, all the guys do, but he works the hardest by far. It's impossible to believe he's 67, he's fit! His voice was a bit strained or tired, but still, he belted the songs out like nobody's business, so full credit to him. If they came back to Calgary, we would definitely go see them again. The only real disappointment was the Grey Eagle Casino. It was horribly (cigarette) smokey, it was uncomfortably hot with very little A/C and the seats are hooked together so if your backside is more that a foot across you're bumping hips and shoulders which would have been okay if wasn't so hot in there. All things considered, I'd give HL&TN 10/10.

Enjoyed seeing Huey Lewis and the News live for the first time. He was accompanied with a great group of musicians including a nice horns section. Songs were well performed and the sound well mixed and sounding true to the originals. Many of the songs were nicely amp'd up with jazziness. Rendition of the Impression's / Curtis Mayfield's "It's Alright" was a nice addition.

Close your eyes and you pretty much forget Huey Lewis is 67 years old. The band sounds fantastic and Huey still has that gritty, baritone working for him. They faltered a bit on "If this is it" but other than that, every song was just how you'd remember it. Their A Capella interlude builds that relationship with the audience that you're looking for in live music and although Huey is more about singing than talking, he continued with enough crowd banter throughout the evening to make you feel included and part of something special.

I loved the engagement that Huey and the band showed throughout their performance.

Took 3/4 hour just to get into parking lot from Glenmore, another 30 mins or so to get out. As for the concert, basically ok, sound was not very good for whole concert, kind of muddy, musicianship was excellent and effort by Huey and band was great. He did seem to have some trouble reaching the higher notes tho. Venue generally ok but I expected better sound for a big name performer. Don't think I will return to this venue just because of parking issue!

Wow! Huey is 67 yet acts and sounds just like he did in the 80s. The band was also excellent, the guitar player really played those licks. Huey Lewis and the News played their biggest hits and through in some of their new stuff. 2 thumbs up!!!

We really enjoyed the night! The music brought back great memories & we remembered the words to so many songs! The band was awesome & the singing was great. Would go see them again.

Just what I expected. ....a good rock and roll show

Show was fantastic. Parking and getting out was terrible.

Huey Lewis's voice has not changed. The music was good, even his new stuff. The only thing is the show was very short. He had an encore of which we had to wait about 5 minutes before he came out. He was better when he came to the stampede last year but I would still go back to see him.

I attended Huey Lewis and the News in concert at the Grey Eagle Casino on August 29th, 2017. I've been following the band since the 1980s, and as usual they never fail to impress and entertain in their live show. The band is tight, even when they wander off to do a little improvisation in the blues and jazz tenure. Huey is the consummate front man: He never misses a cue, provides great background/back stories for the songs and band members, engages the crowd wonderfully, and still has all his harmonica/vocal chops even after 40 plus years in the business. Five stars is not enough for these icons.

We will never regret deciding to see this show. Huey and the Band had us chair dancing then dancing in the aisles through the whole show .. played all our favorites. The sound and energy of Huey and the boys was amazing for a bunch of old guys. You Rock Huey !! Don't ever Stop !!

Great, sound amazing, great organization, live it love it love it

From the opening w/Heart & Soul to the 3 song encore (Power of Love, Stuck w/You & Worken' for a Livin') the room rocked all night! Huey Lewis was a Hit-Master, song after song; his concert proved he's still that master and his audience all love his music! The band was powerful and Huey's harmonica talent is so hot! Loved the whole high-energy night & @ 67 Huey Lewis is still one sexy and talented dude! Would see him again in a minute!

The music was good but the program was way to short. They finished after 1 hour, came back on for a 15 minute set. Very disappointing
