I PREVAIL IN CONCERT:
Post-hardcore punks I Prevail haven't let up since they first grabbed fans' attention with their incendiary cover of Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" in 2014. The band sets itself apart from the pack with a unique mix of raw punk energy, catchy hooks, and electronic textures, and in concert it all gets turned up to 11 with mosh pit-inspiring standouts like "Crossroads", "Love, Lust, and Liars", and "The Enemy". Clean singer Brian Burkheiser carries the melodies on their calm segments before screamer Eric Vanlerberghe unleashes the beast on their savage breakdowns. It's a yin-yang approach that never fails to fire up crowds at their infectiously high-energy live shows. For their Strike the Match Tour in 2016, I Prevail is teaming up with The White Noise and My Enemies & I to bring their memorable choruses and hard-hitting tones to ticket buyers across North America.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Since they first came together in Southfield, MI in 2013, I Prevail has quickly gone from local favorite to viral sensation. The group – initially comprised of Brian Burkheiser (clean vocals), Eric Vanlerberghe (scream vocals), Steve Menonian (lead guitar), Jordan Berger (rhythm guitar), and Lee Runestad (drums) – immediately started recording demos following their first rehearsals. Things took off when they released their post-hardcore version of Taylor Swift's "Blank Space", which received over 20 million views on YouTube and was featured on the compilation Punk Goes Pop, Vol. 6. Their 2015 debut EP Heart Vs. Mind garnered more attention for the group, helping them land opening spots for artists like Crown the Empire, Hollywood Undead, and Pop Evil. I Prevail thrilled fans with the announcement of their headlining Strike the Match Tour in 2016, which is set to bring their electrifying live show to audiences in the US and Canada.
Love this band! So exciting and fun in show, they make great music and for me, I’m 100% going to go see them again!
I loved this concert! even though it was kinda crowded the fans were super sweet!! I lost my ID on the floor and was crying worried that I wouldn’t find it again, 5 minutes later i heard people calling out my first and middle name and I got my ID returned with my bank card as well!! I also had plenty of people asking me if I was okay on the floor and people sharing water to one’s that couldn’t get it. Pierce the veil was amazing and made sure to remind people that if someone fell down to pick them up. They played some of their popular songs and everyone enjoyed it. I do wish they had a longer set rather then the time they had. I didn’t get to see i prevail as i got all sweaty and tired from being crowded by lots of people. overall this concert was a 10/10, then fans were a 10/10, the performances(the ones i saw) 10/10, and music 10/10.
I Prevail was amazing in concert!! Peirce the Veil were also awesome as one of their opening bands.
What a pit. One of the best shows ive ever been to
It was all fine at first until the crowd started to move and myself and my friends got absolutely crushed I saw multiple people fall during the chaos of it all myself included it was a truly terrifying experience wondering once I hit the ground if I would be able to get back up.
iPrevail still puts on a great set. Not as big of a fan of the new album, but they’re stil great performers and kept the crowd in it. Had seen them in early sept in Virginia and gotta say this set was better in an indoor setting. Love that they played Deep End
Loved this show! They are awesome live. Crowd had a great energy. Definitely one of the best shows I’ve been to so far! I will definitely be seeing them again next time they come to Toronto!
Everything was great from the venue staff and opening acts, to the main bands
it was awesome i loved it and it was my first concert i bought the tickets and i will never forget this, i got a tour t-shirt and a autographed drum head, anyways i really loved the concert and it was a night to remember and never forget
I love iPrevail, but the way the sound was set up. The music was louder then the vocals. You could hardly understand what the band was singing. If you didn’t know the song, you really did know what they were saying/singing.
