About

As much as technology, business and society have changed since the 1980s, one thing has remained constant – the one and only ICE CUBE. Having transcended the boundaries of the rap / hip hop world, he is lauded as one of the most influential and important figures in the entertainment business today. From his tenure as one of the driving forces behind the infamous and iconic group N.W.A, his successful solo career and his ventures into film and television, it’s safe to say he has done it all. Not forgetting where he has come from, Ice Cube continues to perform live and will return to Australia in December for three shows only.

Possessing a brutally honest attack bolstered with proficient and violent lyrics, Ice Cube has forged a legacy spanning 25+ years with millions of platinum and gold album sales worldwide, collaborating with some of Rap and Hip Hop royalty such as Public Enemy, Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem and Ice-T among others, as well as starring in such films as Boyz In The Hood, Three Kings and the Friday series.

Going off his past Australian performances, fans can expect an explosive show packed with the iconic and timeless rhymes such as Check Yo’ Self, It Was A Good Day, You Can Do It, Go To Church, Hello, Smoke Some Weed, Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It and NWA’s Fuck Tha Police and Straight Outta Compton.

Often imitated but never duplicated, the West Coast Gangsta himself is coming back down under to show and prove why he is still the master.

‘Ice Cube blew in from the West, gracing the stage to a soundtrack of old school beats from the multi-talented rapper that pleased the crowd ripping through his hits.’- MTV

‘Ice Cube was all fire and brimstone; shouting epithets and curses, reminding us all he was once a part of a history-making hip hop team’ – The Dwarf

‘The show was history lesson from one of the most respected rappers of all time and it did not disappoint’ – AU Review

    Mediocre

Not sure if it was the venue cutting his tracks short or Ice Cube. But he was only on for barely an hour and didnt finish out the tracks he'd start.

This was literaly one of the best rap/hiphop shows i've ever been to! If your a big fan of anything rap or hiphop not miss the chance to see Ice Cube live! There is nothing like it, it's great to go see a good show, but it's even better when you can see a good show & actually know all the lyrics to every classic song! I recommend seeing him live for sure! Ice Cube & Snoop Dogg are the best when it comes to live shows! WEST-COAST all day!

    Ice Cube has melted.

by whatev on 2009-07-19Sound Academy - Toronto

The set was SHORT (barely over an hour) for someone who was boasting that he's been rapping for 25 years. He hardly touched his older material at all.

Still #1 Rapper in the world

by vallan on 2009-07-19Sound Academy - Toronto

Even though he is one of the original founders of gangsta rap, Ice Cube is still young and at the top of his game. Us Canadians are quite reserved but Cube got us going from the first minute. His power and style have never been duplicated. His energy and sincerity have always been a trademark. His stage presence is commanding.

Great performance, WC of the westside connection with Ice cube- Big Page and Smoke and Mirrors were great. Ice cube was amazing, the venue allowed everyone to be very close to the stage, good sound. Ice cube rocks.
