  • Jacob Collier is energizing and inspiring

by Selina on 2024-04-17Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

We had an awesome time seeing Jacob. As a performer, Jacob is engaging. I didn't feel forgotten up on the balcony and somehow it was intimate. His personality shines through, the music was moving, the invitation to participate is connecting, and his overall humility makes for a wonderful experience. I highly recommend his shows to musicians and music-lovers alike who want to see someone who does things in a way that feels good to him and leaves space for others to be in the world of music. Oh, and he's one hell of a musician. As for the venue, the assigned seats allow us to have a chill lead-up and time to get popcorn and drinks, albeit somewhat expensive. We had a nice night.

  • The Most Stunning Performance

by Island Gal on 2024-04-17Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

The concert started out with great intimacy, it was like you were alone with Jacob in a room, then he moved on and created such a party atmosphere...everyone was singing and had smiles on their faces. Jacobs mastery of the piano had me weeping, it was that beautiful. The audience gave him 2 standing ovations even before the concert ended....what a show...go see this amazing man, he is so talented and we are lucky he can share his gift with the world.

This was his solo show and I enjoyed every single song, it felt like jamming in a room with a friend, a very gifted and talented friend. Would go again!

  • Better late than never

by Dave on 2024-04-17Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Was disappointing to be kept waiting for 45 minutes with no announcements but he certainly made up for it in his show. He is such an amazing musician. It was worth every penny. Dave

  • The Best Show I’ve Attended So Far This Year

by Dayton C. on 2024-04-17Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Maybe I’m biased, but this was the best show I have ever attended so far in 2024! I took a good friend with me to Jacob’s show, we sat in Row C, very close to the front row. Absolutely mesmerized by his entire performance! There was nothing on the stage except a piano, his two guitars and his legendary harmonizer, for 2 hours. The highlights of the evening were when he turned the entire Queen Elizabeth Theatre audience into a choir, before seamlessly transitioning into Somebody to Love by Queen. Then towards the end, he played Moon River, as well as the Canadian national anthem. My friend and I immediately started singing and stood up, encouraging everyone else to follow suit, so the entire venue stood up and sang the anthem, with red and white lights to match the Canadian flag. I was up at the front of the stage when Jacob said goodbye, and I got to shake his hand! This was an exciting moment for me as I have been a huge fan of Jacob for the past 3 years! Thank you for such an amazing show, Jacob! You’re always welcome here in Vancouver!

  • Superlative

by Diane and Andt on 2024-04-17Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Jacob hosted the best concert I have ever attended in my life - it was an open initation to come together to create together. His musicianship is not only excellent, but his ability to involve the audience was fun, masterful, vulnerable and altogether joyful!

The whole show, from start to finish, was absolutely amazing. Jacob's pure, generous mind takes you on a special musical journey I have not experienced from any other concerts before. I cannot wait for him to come back for another one of great adventures!

  • You're in for a treat

by KC on 2022-07-18History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

You can tell how much passion this man has for music. From the notes of a song to lighting and mixing is intentional! Hands down one of the stronger artist out there who is beyond talented. Such a treat to witness his mom (Susie Collier) to play live too!

  • Amazing and awesome

by Adventurist on 2022-05-15L'Olympia - MontrealRating: 4 out of 5

First JC concert and it was amazing. His breadth of talent is just jaw dropping. He could collaborate with anyone and make magic. His ability to get hundreds of people making music and song was remarkable. The band was a collection of the absolute best. One comment on the other side: Sometimes the volume in the venue seemed to overpower the beautiful music being created. The VIP package swag was ok.

  • Incredible artist, terrible sound

by Samwise on 2022-05-15L'Olympia - MontrealRating: 5 out of 5

Sound in the room was very bad. Speaking to others who were standing in different parts of the room, they feedback was the same. Seems like some of the speakers weren’t even turned on! Really takes you out of the experience when all you hear is thumping. :(

  • Great lively show

by Rosanne on 2022-05-14L'Olympia - MontrealRating: 4 out of 5

Jacob was genius as expected. He was energetic and got the audience active and even turned the audience into a choir. Phenomenal talent. Only negative is that it was standing room only and that's not fun for close to 5 hours (almost a 3 hour show and waiting time to start). All in all Jacob is awesome and I would see him again

Jacob Collier is a musical force of nature. He is the consummate performer who had the audience mesmerized from the opening number to the collective harmonizing at the end. He really must be seen to appreciate his immense talent.

He's a great performer and genius mind, the same can be said about each of his bandmates/singers. A ton of energy, and for his second show of the night! History is a nice and clean venue as well.
