Jai Wolf on Tour

Jai Wolf's transformation from bedroom EDM producer to global festival favorite all happened rather naturally. Born in Bangladesh in 1991, the man behind the moniker, Sajeeb Saha, eventually settled in New York and by 2015 had several high-profile remixes and a debut single under his belt. He's since traveled the world, scoring slots at festivals throughout North America, Europe and Asia, including Coachella, Ultra and Lollapalooza in 2017. In 2019, Jai Wolf kicked off one of his biggest tours to support his debut album, The Cure to Loneliness. He puts just as much into his live shows as his recordings, often coming up with all the stunning visuals, videos and colors that accompany his massive wall of sound.

Jai Wolf in Concert

Jai Wolf's hazy indie dance music conjures sunny days and starry nights with its warm, blissed-out melodies. The Bangladesh-born producer has always had music in his life, beginning with the traditional Bengali music his parents played at home, a custom they continued after emigrating to the U.S. when Saha was just one year old. By the time he was five, living in rural Illinois, Saha was taking violin lessons. He became more inspired by indie, punk, hip-hop and electronic music in his teens, and soon took up the guitar. While he craved being in a band, Saha's friends were not into the same music so he decided to try his hand at being a solo artist. He began experimenting with production software, making beats and songs inspired by dubstep artists like Afrojack and Avicii, and putting together mashups and remixes under the name No Pets Allowed. In 2014, he decided on a new alias: Saha picked "Jai" from a list of Top 10 Indian baby names, and added the "Wolf" as a nod to Game of Thrones. After the name change, his online presence grew and he was soon asked to make remixes for artists including ODESZA, Alesso, Dirty South and Melanie Martinez. He even caught the attention of Skrillex, who heard Saha's reworking of his track "Ease My Mind," and granted him permission to release an official remix. In 2015, Saha released his debut single, "Indian Summer," on ODESZA's label Foreign Family Collective and saw it reach No. 31 on Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. He then signed with New York independent label Mom + Pop, who released his debut EP, Kindred Spirits, in 2016. He spent the next few years on the road, making appearances at major festivals around the world, and it wasn't until April 2019 that he finally released his much-anticipated debut full-length album, The Cure to Loneliness.
