    The Ultimate in Performance Art

by CASBABY on 2014-06-08Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Toronto

Jamie Cullam with his exhuberent "energizer bunny" performance whipped his audience into such a frenzy that by the end he had them jumping with clear space between their feet and the floor. He managed to pull off a superstar but intimate show, more a family gathering and party than legendary jazz icon "show" Like a conjurer he has the audience begging for more. His magic lies in not only his consummate musicianship but the fact that he connects with the audience so guilessly

    Even better live

by Chester30 on 2014-06-08Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Toronto

Came to know about Jamie Cullum through Jazz fm. Heard both his music and his radio show, which is pure jazz. What an amazing talent. Outstanding voice, superb artist, creative and innovative in his treatment of popular songs ; please don't stop the music. This concert was a combination of jazz and pop. Plus Jamie specials, his percussion playing in and on the piano!! A varied audience that all responded to him, and were amazed at his professionalism, energy and talent. The accompanying band, all young, great musicians, many of them playing multiple instruments were excellent. Absolutely one of the top 5 concerts I have been to.

Jamie Cullum - A True Talent

by rockmom on 2010-07-27Chateau Ste Michelle Winery - Woodinville

Beautiful venue, perfect weather and a brilliant headliner: who could ask for anything more?? Despite having no choice in the matter, my boyfriend enjoyed the concert just as much as I did. The moment Jamie Cullum breaks into song with his rich, baritone vocals, you're hooked. To top it off, he's a brilliant pianist who is completely comfortable with any genre, be it pop, jazz, blue or rock. Anyone who can take Rihanna's "Please Don't Stop the Music" and make it sound like a classic is truly amazing. Other than his musical genius, Cullum was funny and very down to earth.

    Jamie doesn't disappoint!

by marksuth on 2010-03-27Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

Performers don't get much better than Jamie Cullum! And the Commodore is my favourite venue in Vancouver - put the two together and you get an unforgettable night! Jamie is one of the most talented musicians of this generation, and I'll be getting tickets to his next show for sure! Plus, Imelda May was the perfect opener!

    True performer

by PinkFan on 2010-03-24Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

Jamie Cullum put on an amazing show. He's so creative, energetic and talented and his performance reminds you what a live show is all about. He doesn't play by set list and loves to improvise, while being great at interacting with the crowd. He played for about 2 hours, some of the songs included "Frontin'", "London Skies" and "Photograph" as well as covers from Rihanna and Michael Buble ( my favorite ). He's a true musician and you could see how much he enjoys performing in front of a live audience. His band is absolutely amazing as well. Favorite moment in more than 150 characters: Michael Buble cover - Cry me a river. It was ridiculously good. He left the stage halfway through the song & went into the crowd to sing part of the song. Such a great, raw performance! He also left his microphone for some parts of the song and just sang into the room. Absolutely amazing!

    Interactive and flat out amazing

by JmeLar on 2010-03-23Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

I have been a fan for many years at this point, going to his previous Vancouver concert in 2006 Oct. That was unbelievable, and this concert topped that. He interacted with the crowd by getting fans to join in, and at one point even jumped into the crowd with his Trumpest and Sax players, and played a little diddy in the middle of the crowd, sans microphone. I was lucky enough to be right upfront and center, and it was bar none the best day of life so far. Our group was half tempted to go to Seattle to watch him all over again the next night. Great mix of songs from all his CD's, it wasn't a "Promote the new CD" concert...

Jamie et al are brilliant and inspired!

    by Mel2 on 2010-03-22Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

Imelda May and her group played a really tight set; their musicianship was apparent from the opening note. Imelda is a powerhouse of a singer! A fantastic opening act -- I really enjoyed their performance! Jamie Cullum and his group constantly made my jaw drop. They all clearly love what they do, and are really freaking talented at it. He's definitely a jazz artist; some of the solos and songs were very much from that genre, but overall the concert was very accessible to and lapped up by a pop-centric audience. Lots of energy, lots of interaction with the audience, lots of laughs, and just loads of fantastic amazingness.

by breezey on 2010-03-21Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

Jamie Cullum is phenominal. Icredible voice, piano playing and energy. He sounds as good live as he does recorded, if not better. Everyone one should have to see him so you know what its like to go to a concert of a real musician.

    What an entertainer!

by sunnshine on 2010-03-21Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

The first time I saw Jamie I had no idea who he was. After a few songs I was a fan. I was very excited when the new album came out, anticipating a concert. He did not disappoint! He has an amazing voice and plays with such passion. When he does cover tunes he makes them his own and you don't realize what you are singing along to until you get to the chorus. For a jazz musician he entertains like a rock star.
