  • Tribute to Led Zep was amazing

by Blubaby on 2011-11-13Casino Rama - RamaRating: 5 out of 5

Never saw the original group but this must have been pretty close. All done with great respect to his father's memory. A wonderful idea to show home movies and original footage from Led Zep shows which gave the whole experience extra meaning. They did not try to imitate the looks of the original but did an excellent job with both the music and voice which gave the rendition of the songs an authentic feel while retaining their own identity and giving the audience an incredible Led Zep sound experience. We would see them again and hope they come back to Casino Rama in Barrie soon!

  • JBLZE was a Perfect Tribute to Bonzo and LZ

    by Moose97 on 2011-11-10Casino Rama - RamaRating: 5 out of 5

Absolutely brilliant performance of the highlights of the Zeppelin catalog. Jason as well as the band were the perfect combination of Talent and Poise to recreate a Led Zeppelin Experience. By far the best Led Zeppelin tribute you will ever see. I you Love Led Zeppelin then you WILL NOT be disappointed.

  • Don't Miss It........Go If You Can !!!!!

by DanSue on 2011-11-09Casino Rama - RamaRating: 5 out of 5

This was just a fantastic show. My wife and I didn't want it to end. It was not only a journey through Led Zep's music ,but an evening of story telling by Jason Bonham , supported by video and pics of John Bonham and Jason from many years a go. The lead singer was bang on and sounded like a young Robert Plant. The lead guitarist was flawless and obviously has been playing Zep for years. The sound at the Rama Entertainment Complex is second to none. Very crisp and not overwhelming. Don't miss this show !!!!!!

  • A Fabulous Drummer in his own Rite !

    by Mikey53 on 2011-11-09Casino Rama - RamaRating: 4 out of 5

I would recommend this show.........obviously not Led Zeppelin but well worth the money ! Lead guitar was great...the entire band actually..but the lead stood out. For the Zep fans out there its a must see !

  • Casino du Lac Leamy provides terrible service.

by Anonymous on 2011-11-09Casino du Lac Leamy - GATINEAURating: 1 out of 5

My son and my husband were turned away at the door from Casino Lac Leamy, as my son is under 18 years of age. The ticket was in french - they don't read french. The box office manager said they would reimburse us the ticket price. One of the tickets was sold to someone else immediately. The next day, we received an email from the manager of the Casino, saying despite what they were told last night, we would not, after all, be reimbursed for both tickets - only for the one that was sold. This was an hour before the show. We could have given the tickets away, tried to sell the other one, or my husband could have had me pick up our son and he could have gone. Bottom line.... one very disappointed boy and we got ripped off for the one ticket. Still waiting to see if they send us the cost of the ticket that was sold. (it's in the mail....)

  • Tribute was spot on

    by RMAC09 on 2011-11-09Casino Rama - RamaRating: 5 out of 5

So what it was'nt zeppelin, it was sure close enough on this night. Right from the first introduction video you just knew this was going to be a concert to remember. Jason was personable, funny and he did his old man proud on the kit. The place was sold out, the sound was great and most of all, the lead singer was very, very good. He gets lost in the bonham factor, but he held his own, hitting notes when needed and really getting eveyone to sing along. Overall this is an impressive show, and a must see for any Zeppelin fan.

  • May be as close as you get...

by steelyfan on 2011-11-09Casino Rama - RamaRating: 3 out of 5

In general the show was good. Jason was personable and thankful for the fans that attended. There were also some funny, unashamed moments shared with the audience. Being a huge LZ fan I guess I expected more from what was tauted as a "multimedia experience" Video clips were sparse and under utilized. There were many times when the giant screen behind the drum kit was black-I thought that odd. Perhaps it could have been that Jason did not have a lot of footage to draw on or permission for some LZ footage (which there was none) was not forthcoming? The band was competent-let's face it it took some real courage to stand on the stage and try to replicate(not impersonate) the sound of Robert Plant's voice. The guitarist, Tony was a bit of a JP wannabe. Lastly, it would have been nice to her Celebration Day and Going to California-they appeared on all of the set lists I researched prior to the show but they did not play them-quite disappointing. I would prefer to hear the rarer songs -I never need to hear Stairway, ever again...bottom line- it may be a close as you will ever get to hearing the music of LZ performed by that calibre of musicians so soak it up while you can.

  • Jason Bonhams Led Zeppelin Experience!

    by barbie1955 on 2011-11-09Casino Rama - RamaRating: 5 out of 5

The ultimate concert experience ! An amazing, touching and well put together concert! Everything about it - starting from the concept i.e. Jason being John Bonham's son and following incredibly in dad's footsteps - the sound, music, lighting, and overall the entire band. Each member playing an incredible tribute and homage to one of the best Rock bands Ever - LED ZEPPELIN. I will see this Again and Again and recommend it highly.

It is not the first "wannabe's" show that I have seen and usually, It is a good distraction event if it is not the real bands. This one was special because of the "sharing" of John Bonham's piece of personnal history through his son.

  • Led Zeppelin Experience was awesome!

by Rideski on 2011-11-08Casino du Lac Leamy - GATINEAURating: 5 out of 5

What an awesome concert! Jason did his father proud and brought the music of Led Zeppelin to us as only a Bonham could! Fabulous show - well worth the price of admission. Cheers.

  • ZEPPELIN!!

    by MusicMan642 on 2011-11-08Casino Rama - RamaRating: 5 out of 5

This is a must see show for anybody who enjoys the music of Led Zeppelin or just enjoys a good rock show. The band preformed spectacularly, the light and media show was very well organized and went off without a hitch. The theater at Casino Rama is amazing and the perfect place to hold any style of concert with comfortable seating without a bad spot in the house. All have a full view of the stage. In the end I will definitely be going to see the Jason Bonham Led Zeppelin Experience again and will continue to see them when they do play.

  • Bonzo would be very proud !

by ZepperFan on 2011-11-08Casino Rama - RamaRating: 5 out of 5

Jason Bonham does the family name and the music of Led Zeppelin very proud indeed in this 2+ hour extravaganza. He provides glimpes into his father's life and the experience of living in the world of Led Zeppelin but is a wonderfully genuine, personable, honest and humble man and son. And Man, can he ever play the drums like his old man !!! The segment where Jason is playing the Moby Dick solo live while the video of John playng the solo is played on the video screen behind him, and every movement of the two of them is in unison .....amazing ! There was more than one standing ovation during the show and the band was fantastic and the vocalist sang eveything like it was heard on the original albums ........something Plant himself has not been able to do in decades. Fantastic show and I would jump at the chance to see it again. Thanks for the evening Jason ....... brilliant !!

Greatly exceeded my expectations! Looking forward to seeing another show at Lac Leamy Theatre!

  • The kids are alright

by ScottyR on 2011-11-08Casino du Lac Leamy - GATINEAURating: 5 out of 5

Every aspect of the show was entertainment and nostalgic at its best. I especially enjoyed the short antidotes shared by Jason about his family life, back in the day along with the pictures that accompanied them. Now the music...what can I say. Dad would have been proud. From the vocals which sounded note for note, to the drums and guitar work, if one closed there eyes they would believe they were back in the day. I had bought my ticket late, when only singles were left; However, was suprisingly delighted that the venue offered only good seats, anywhere in the theatre. ...and enjoyable evening that I would recommend and share with friends next time round.

  • Awsomeeee

I bought these tickets for my husband ,a diehard fan who has seen them in concert many times and my 18 year old daughter, she texted me the caption above twice ...

  • Jason Bonham's Led-Zeppelin Experience was amazing

by Terena on 2011-11-08Casino du Lac Leamy - GATINEAURating: 5 out of 5

I can't say enough about this show - the guitarist & singer could have been Page & Plante. Jason makes drumming look so easy, the bassist was awesome, & Stephen, the keyboardist was multi-talented & very entertaining to watch. Jason's got a winner with this show.

  • the real thing...

by KayK1 on 2011-11-08Casino du Lac Leamy - GATINEAURating: 5 out of 5

They may not be the original led zeppelin but they share that same amazing talent and you would never know it wasn't the originals. Outstanding performance! Amazing acoustics you could hear every nuance in the music from the heaviest metal to the most subtle guitar rift. what a perfect venue for listening to music.! The only thing missing was the smell of smoke from all the stoners (it wasn't missed) - what a phenomenal concert!!

  • WOW....

by ranger679 on 2011-11-08Casino du Lac Leamy - GATINEAURating: 5 out of 5

.....an outstanding concert performed by outstanding muscians...by closing ones eyes and simply listening to the music, one can be lifted back in time to the original masterpieces as performed, as in Jason's case, by his father. The next thing to seeing a Led Zepplin concert.....Hurry Back!!!!
