  • Jay delivered his stuff !!!

by Trii on 2010-01-10River Rock Show Theatre - RichmondRating: 5 out of 5

I bought the tickets the second they became available and couldn't wait to see his show. Extremely glad I didn't miss this "Icon" of the entertainment business, worth the drive and the cost without a doubt !!!

Fabulous....very very funny - a great night out with lots of laughs. Thought he would have said more about Tiger Woods, but understandable.... Would definitely go and see him again, a great comedian!

  • Jay Leno was on Fire!

by cbpalla on 2010-01-10River Rock Show Theatre - RichmondRating: 4 out of 5

Jay was very animated and full of life! He had great jokes and kept them coming fast. He was excited to be in front of the sold out Vancouver audience and kept us laughing non-stop for a full 1 1/2 hours. We have been to his shows before both at the Orpheum in downtown Vancouver and in Vegas but this one was the best. We all hoped he would make jokes about bumping Conan but he didn't. Jay doesn't get into local jokes or special greetings but he did involve the audience this time more than usual. I wish he would bring Ross Matthews as his opening act. I was impressed!

  • Leno was Awesome

by lindsaym on 2009-07-16Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 5 out of 5

I was actually surprised by the show, I wasn't really sure how stand up would fly for the duration of the show, but I was roaring. Leno was great he covered all topics of life politics (of course) mostly USA, as he is American, family, dating lots of in betweens. I took my boyfriend their for his bday and I was glad I decided to go and not let him take a friend. We watch JAy Leno maybe once every 2 months as we live a very busy life, shifts, kids etc and am sad that Conan has taken over as I would have been a regular Leno watcher.......If he ever comes back I would definately take a group along for the ride.

Some of his material was a bit old. There was a story about videos and the movie Sister Act. Ten minutes to update the act wouldn't have gone amiss.......but who cares cos he's the best! I'd enjoy him if he were talking about paint drying! He's all business though........on stage....act......off stage. No chit chat. Very professional. And what an interesting face he has......I'd like to draw him. He's perfect for cartoons. Can't wait for his new show!

  • Could have been more!

First my lack of leg room was a major distraction, and I learned that in that venue you must have the front row of the section. We have been a huge Jay Leno fan for years, taping The Tonight Show to watch every morning, It lacked the warmth that we are used to on the TV, He did the minimum for the maximum cash (I assume) The jokes were stale, and had been used many times over. We expected a few personal comments on his situation with his new show, comments on Conan's show. A comment on Canada would not have been out of place, and as a comedian I would have "translated" some jokes to "Canadian". He put in his time to get the money, for him it was a total success. In our seats we ended up watching on the big screen anyway

  • Leno left us laughing

    by rba1st on 2009-07-15Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 4 out of 5

Alone on the stage without the band Jay Leno reminded us why he's been so successful on the small screen. He gave us an evening of good natured fun with some political skewers and self deprecating humour. Many of his stories were funny because of their familiarity. We would go again.

  • JAY LENO STAND UP

by TicketmasterJunkie on 2009-07-15Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 4 out of 5

Jay Leno was fun to watch. I have seen quite a few stand up comedians... he was pretty funny, had good delivery, had some memorable jokes that you repeat to your friends and was overall witty. Not his fault, but CasinoRama usually has pretty short shows. So woulda liked to have seen another half hour for the money.

  • Very proffesional preformance....

by SexyBeaver on 2009-07-14Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 4 out of 5

It was my first experience with Jay Leno. Overall i enjoyed it and had a great time. What surprised me is that Jay leno , as soon as he walked on stage, immediately started joking and continued so for the whole show and as abruptly as he entered he went behind the curtain. That is what a call professional, no useless actions - pure entertainment.

  • leno a great guy and preformer

  • Bring back Leno to the Tonight Show

by MediaJunkie on 2009-07-14Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 4 out of 5

Leno's knack for comedic timing and witty humor adds class to the comedy business. He's energetic, and seems to enjoy doing what he does. This workaholic comedian deserves to remain in the business in any way, shape or form. He is, by far, one of the greatest comedians in American history.

  • J Leno at Casino Rama

Good clean entertainment. Was looking for a remark about his leaving the tonight show. Oh Well

  • Jay Leno was Fablous

by Beanie on 2009-07-14Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 5 out of 5

We see a LOT of live theatre but this was our first show at Rama. We were quite surprised at how far our seats were from the stage (our tickets for other venues are usually within the first 5 rows). The large screens on either side of the stage were what we watched. The show was fablous! Jay Leno does not use foul language in his show which in our opinion is not required to make people laugh. He does not need 'shock' to entertain the audience. It is a long drive from Toronto and back for a show but for Leno, it was well worth it.

  • Jay Leno was super great!

by Sully on 2009-07-14Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 5 out of 5

We were nightly TV fans of Jay Leno until this past May. The Show at Casino Rama was great and we were very pleased that he used new material that we had not heard before. Jay had us in stitches when he teased some of the members of the audience. Thanks for a great show Jay!!!!!!

  • A Laugh a Minute with Jay Leno

by Jodee on 2009-07-13Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 4 out of 5

Enjoyed this performance by Jay Leno very much. Very impressed by what appeared to be his "off the cuff remarks" to some of the audience members. Jay Leno is a lot funnier in person than on the "Tonite Show". In person allows him the time to tell a long story building up to a joke or a series of jokes. I have always found Jay to be a phenomenal story teller and especially enjoy the stories about his family.

  • Jay Leno is an excellent comedian.

by Susette on 2009-07-13Casino Rama - OrilliaRating: 5 out of 5

I have watched Jay Leno on television since he began with the Tonight Show and am looking forward to seeing him on his new show in the fall. This is the first time I've seen him live. Often seeing someone in live performance whom you've admired on TV or screen is a disappointment. Not so with Jay; he is everything and more in person. He was on stage with non-stop comedy for over two hours. He is worth going to see.
