About

Sold-out global concert tours. Ratings-shattering broadcast specials. A best-selling author. A star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. And a few Guinness Book of World Records set for good measure. Ventriloquist Jeff Dunham is a comedy superstar and one of the world's most inventive entertainers. After graduating from Baylor University, he moved to Los Angeles to base his global touring and never looked back. The man Slate called "America's favorite comedian" has 11 record-breaking comedy specials to his credit - three were Comedy Central's most viewed specials of their respective years ("Me the People," 2022; "Minding the Monsters," 2012; "Controlled Chaos," 2011), and his "Jeff Dunham's Very Special Christmas Special," 2008, remains the network's highest rated program of all time. His NBC primetime special, "Unhinged," ranked as the time period's top non-sports program on the Big 4, rebroadcast six weeks later on Comedy Central to become its top rated special of 2016. His most recent special "Me the People" arrived as the highest rated stand-up special since "Jeff Dunham: The Unrehearsed Pandemic Special" two years ago, and the most watched comedy special of 2022.

His autobiography, All By My Selves: Walter, Peanut, Achmed and Me, landed Dunham on the New York Times' Best Seller list three weeks in a row. He was also named Billboard's Top Comedy Tour for three consecutive years. The versatile entertainer created an animated film for CMT, hosted the Food Network's Halloween Baking Championship, guested on ABC's "Ellen," NBC's "30 Rock," Disney's "Sonny with a Chance," did commercials for Hertz, and appeared in Jay Roach's Dinner for Schmucks, featuring Steve Carrell and Paul Rudd. Dunham, "a dressed-down, more digestible version of Don Rickles with multiple personality disorder" according to TIME, can currently be seen on his Jeff Dunham: Still Not Canceled tour. Jeff Dunham is better on youtube...

by AleO on 2009-07-14UBC THUNDERBIRD ARENA - Vancouver

He didn't quite get the public with all american jokes in Canada... He's mostly singing now which I guess is harder to do, but the good all jokes are gone... He said "I kill you" just once, Peanut doesn't do the laugh. Not at all what I expected to see.

    Dunham was Funham

by CrantiniM on 2009-07-14UBC THUNDERBIRD ARENA - Vancouver

Jeff Dunham was fantastic. I almost began to think the puppets were real. I laughed the whole time, my cheeks hurt. The material was fresh and new but he kept the best of the old material as well.

    Jeff Dunham rocked my socks

by chantilly on 2009-07-14UBC THUNDERBIRD ARENA - Vancouver

He was great!! His impressions were bang on, his jokes were hilarious, and even his stand-up at the beginning was funny! Guitar Guy was a great opening act too! Too bad the merchandise was so expensive though, I would have loved a Walter doll...

    laughter beyond words

by Jazzeynights09 on 2009-07-14UBC THUNDERBIRD ARENA - Vancouver

The show was fabulous and Jeff's ability to improve exceptional. The venue was awkward. Seats on the side made it uncomfortable for sitting. The big screen was what made the show - you could see the puppets and Jeff's face. Without it the show wouldn't have been the same. Love the repetoire of his material. Had only ever seen him on U Tube. Would highly recommend his show. Merchandise sale made product easily accessible for us Canadians. Thanks Jeff and buddies!!!!

    Dunham a riot!

by lovetolaugh on 2009-07-14UBC THUNDERBIRD ARENA - Vancouver

The concert was hillarious! Glad that he had some new material, as we did not want to go and listen to the stuff we could on DVD, although in saying that, its still very funny. I would gladly recommend it to anyone. The downer, was with the food services as they did not have enough food and the service was poor.

I have been to almost all comedy shows that come to the lower mainland: Chris Rock, Russell Peters, Joe Rogan, Lisa Lampenelli, Bob Saget, George Carlin and Jeff Foxworthy....But Jeff Duham came on the top...right from his opening act til the end I was laughing my heart out....I would definitley go again.

Jeff Dunham at Thrunderbird Arena - Hysterical!

by Nightmare on 2009-07-14UBC THUNDERBIRD ARENA - Vancouver

Even if you've seen him before, Jeff Dunham is awesome and funny. You forget that peanut, achmed and Walter are puppets - he really mankes them come to life. The "Taste of China" bit had me doubled-over in laughter and by the end of the show, my cheeks were sore from laughing so hard. Great Show! I would definately buy tickets to see him again.

    Jeff Dunham was AMAZING!

by Traec on 2009-07-14UBC THUNDERBIRD ARENA - Vancouver

Jeff Dunham rocked the stage yet again! I've seen him many times on TV and I have to say, he's a million times better live! I totally 100% recommend seeing a show if it's possible. "Guitar Guy" was really good too, played a very random very amazing guitar solo. I was impressed.

    Dunham rocks! Parking sucks!!

by Podcast on 2009-07-14UBC THUNDERBIRD ARENA - Vancouver

I took my 16 year-old son to this concert and we had a great time. Everything about the show was good - from the opening guitar guy act to all of Dunham's whacked out characters. The worst part of the show was trying to get out of the UBC Thunderbird arena parking lot - what a nightmare! I strongly recommend parking on 10th Avenue (off of the UBC campus) and taking a bus to the arena. Whoever designed the parking lot did not take into account that at the end of a show/game - the entire crowd will want to get out of the parking lot AT THE SAME TIME! We gave up trying to get out of our parking spot and went and had a bite to eat. 45 minutes later we still had to wait in line to get out of the lot. A poor finish to an overall entertaining show.

    Suprisingly Awesome

by Honesty on 2009-07-14UBC THUNDERBIRD ARENA - Vancouver

Honestly, I thought this show was going to be more tame than it was, but the content of it surprised me in the best way possible. This was by far the best comedy show I have every been to. Beats when I went to Dane Cook for sure, even though most people thought Jeff Dunham was drunk at first, I think they kinda forgot about that half way through his show. Thanks Dunham!!

jeff dunham was good for the soul.

by tinabear on 2009-07-14UBC THUNDERBIRD ARENA - Vancouver

I had seen Jeff on the internet. My 12 year old son insisted I watch. We were laughing and enjoying Jeff together. We went together as a family and loved it. My son bragged to his freinds the next day at school that he was at the show. We use alot of terms from Jeffs characters in our house and at work on a daily basis.I would love to see him again when he is in town next time.

Jeff Dunham @ UBC Thunderbird arena

by Primo on 2009-07-14UBC THUNDERBIRD ARENA - Vancouver

Well the show was great location a disappointment; we purchased the tickets more than 2 months before the show, with that much anticipation the seats had to be "good ones", well disappointment they were far away to the right and in an awkward way. just for the heck of it i checked Ticketmaster on line just before the show and surprise there was ticket right on the floor and for the same price, I ask at the entrance if I could get and upgrade and they denied, so here we are watching a screen, well i didn’t pay to watch a screen, for that I would've bought the video and watch it at home.

    Jeff Dunham was hilarious

by GamerGirl on 2009-07-14UBC THUNDERBIRD ARENA - Vancouver

I was very happy with the content in the Jeff Dunham concert, what could have made the whole experience better was to have a better laid out arena. I purchased my tickets 6 months before the event, and they were far from acceptable.

    Jeff Dunham is amazing

by Sam57 on 2009-07-14UBC THUNDERBIRD ARENA - Vancouver

I had seen Jeff in Hawaii at a convention 15 years ago and laughed my head off. When I saw that he was coming to Vancouver, I rushed to get tickets. I was surprised at the following that he has, almost a cult. He is clever, bright, talented, and extremely funny. His puppets expressions make them come alive. Well worth the $ to attend his show.

    Jeff Dunham was entertaining

by Mother on 2009-07-14UBC THUNDERBIRD ARENA - Vancouver

As usual, Jeff Dunham and his cast of characters were funny and entertaining. Guitar Man was surprisingly good and an unexpected bonus. Our family and friends enjoyed the show. However, given the venue, I'm not sure the price of the tickets should have been as high as they were and having bought 10 tickets at full price, it was not nice to see it being sold for less on the street.. That always puts a damper on the value of the event. Lots of laughs but probably would not pre-purchase tickets again.

    Always good for a laugh!

by Stephanie on 2009-07-14UBC THUNDERBIRD ARENA - Vancouver

The show was incredible. I didn't know guitar guy could be so funny. I loved how involved the crowd was especially when bubba came out. Jeff is incredible being able to do all those different voices without showing it. It was hilarious. The only negative thing about this experience was the thunderbird arena. They were completely un-organized. The food was bad, the service was bad, the wait was bad even the line up to get out of the parking lot was bad. I would deffinately pay to see Jeff Dunham again, but I don't really want to go the that stadium again.

    Hilarious Show

by niagaraboy2009 on 2009-07-14UBC THUNDERBIRD ARENA - Vancouver

An absolutly amazingly funny show.....Guitar guy does a 15 minute funny as hell warm up act and then for some reason there was a 15 minute intermission??? Anyway then Jeff comes out does a stand-up act of his own and then he brings out the stars of the show - the little people (Walter, Achemed, Peanut and Jose) take the stage for about 1 hour and 45 mins to 2 hours....and after Jeff brings out Bubba J for an Encore performance.....the show doesn't end quite there....beware of the extreme t-shirt cannons lol GREAT SHOW WORTH EVERY PENNY
