    The Greatest Showman

by George on 2019-11-06L'Astral - Montréal

I have seen Jeff perform in one facet or another over 15 times. He is an incredible frontman and has a great talent for connecting with the crowd. This show was absolutely next level in that regard. The way he connected with individuals in the crowd, especially on Requiem, was the best I have ever seen. We truly got to see the "tortured rock star" bare his soul.

Jeff Martin was everything I thought he would be!!

by Mellie1234 on 2011-03-28THE CAPITAL MUSIC HALL - Ottawa

I have loved The Tea Party since the very beginning. I have wanted to see them since I was 14 years old. That was 18 years ago!! Well I never got to see The Tea Party, but Jeff Martin is The Tea Party!! Jeff Martin 777 was amazing!!! His voice, the guitar... I was in awe!! I couldn't ask for me. The show was everything I wanted and more. Gabriel Lee and Flowerchild were great as well. One the best rock concerts I have been to.

good things come to those who wait.

by Breeous on 2011-03-28THE CAPITAL MUSIC HALL - Ottawa

So I originally bought the ticket to Jeff Martin's show before his newest cd came out (for the band Jeff Martin 777) so I had no idea what to expect. I didn't end up buying the cd before the concert, and I didn't know what the opening band would be. Doors opened at 8:05 and the first act, Gabriel Lee, came onstage at 9:30. He said he was nervous in front of a crowd as big as ours, so he didn't talk as much as I heard he had in past concerts, but his performances were amazing. He was a really funny guy too, and joked with people from the front of the crowd. The next act, Flowerchild, were all rock, and performed as best they could on a smallish stage with a four piece band. They were really good, but I was honestly distracted as I could see Gabriel Lee pulling off some cheesy ballet moves just off stage, and doing a square dance during Flowerchild's blues number. Jeff Martin 777 came onstage just before 11:30. They totally rocked every song they did and had amazing stage presence. Jeff Martin walked all over the stage, whilst the bassist, Jay Cortez, danced in his own corner to the beat. It wasn't all just songs straight off of the albums, but they performed some old tea party songs, such as Requiem, The Messenger, and Sister Awake, and then a couple of songs from their new cd. Jeff Martin performed quite a few guitar solo's, which were awesome, and also added in a couple of lines from songs that weren't his, but actually went with the songs he was performing quite well. He sung a line or two from "Can't Touch This" and "Somewhere Only We Know" as well as performed quite a bit from the song "Hurt". They performed two songs for their encore, the second song being about eight minutes long, or longer (I wasn't counting.) The end of the second song was performed by Gabriel Lee. Overall, an amazing night.

    777, Flowerchild, Gabriel Lee

by Abraxas on 2011-03-28THE CAPITAL MUSIC HALL - Ottawa

An excellent performance by all. There was no lull in the energy: it ramped up to the very end, and was transferred to a packed and sweating crowd of all ages (>21-ish). Had there been a second night, I would have gone again. Jeff Martin never disappoints.

by DallasW on 2011-03-28THE CAPITAL MUSIC HALL - Ottawa

First time seeing Gabriel and Flowerchild as well as the new 777 band! Opening act Gabriel was real surprise, talented and personable! Flowerchild as well turned out to be a great addition to the show. Last but of course not least, Jeff Martin 777 came out rocking! You would think that these guys have been together for years! Amazing! Cannot wait for the next show, which hopefully will not be too far off! A perfect venue as well!!!!

Even after the Tea Party and with a new band, Jeff Martin is able to give an electric performance. Overall, fantastic. Also, his opening musician, Gabriel Lee was amazing

    Amazing talent!

by mickeymouse96 on 2011-03-18Festival Place - Sherwood Park

This show was really great. Not only is Jeff Martin an amazing rocker, he had an incredible voice and introduces new and interesting sounds to his music. At one point he played a guitar with a violin bow and he even used a beer bottle for a guitar slide. Awesome!

Martin Serves Up Some Great Tea and Other Treats

by lebrun on 2011-03-14Festival Place - Sherwood Park

You just have to love an event when you're not even in the first row but you still feel like you can reach out and touch the performers. Thats what it felt like at Festival Place in Sherwood Park. A small venue of which I have only frequented for various small events like awards nights and dance recitals. It was an absolutely perfect venue to showcase not only Jeff Martin's talents but the talents of Flowerchild and Gabriel Lee. I cannot say I was a huge fan of Gabriel Lee's performance which I thought may be better suited for a smokey pub somewhere in the outback of Australia, but did not do it for me. On the other hand, Flowerchild surprised me and sent me rushing to the merch table to pick up their debut cd. Great songs and some good showmanship went along way to selling this band for me. Last up was Mr. Martin...I use "Mr" as I give this gentleman my utmost respect as an artist for continually being able to blow me away with his amazing lyrics and themes to his haunting melodies that he conjurs. It was a fine mixture of his old Tea Party material mixed in with his newer solo material which works even better live than it does on disc. Cheers!!! Mr. Martin, you totally rocked the house. I hope you come back real soon and do it again...

    Excellent Rock Concert!

    by Damien999 on 2011-03-14Festival Place - Edmonton

I've been to many concerts and I would rank this the same as Iron Maiden and Guns & Roses. It's a smaller venue concert but the energy and sound is phenomenal. Opening acts Gabriel Lee is very talented individual that I feel we will see more of him in the future. Very Worth the time and money. It's not the Tea Party but it's an equal new beginning for Jeff Martin and his band mates. Just Fantastic!!!
