About

Jelly Roll went from selling mixtapes from his car to country music superstardom. After quietly releasing dozens of independent albums — some of them rap mixtapes, with features from Lil Wyte and Tech N9ne — the genre-defying artist scored his first Billboard Hot 100 hit in 2022 with the country-rock crossover single ā€œSon of a Sinner,ā€ from his major-label debut album Ballads of the Broken. The rapper-turned-country star from Nashville, Tennessee, blends hip-hop stylings with country vocals on ballads like 2020’s ā€œSave Meā€ and cathartic anthems like 2023’s ā€œNEED A FAVOR,ā€ off his country music debut WHITSITTCHAPEL. In 2022, Jelly Roll had a breakthrough year, spending 28 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Emerging Artists chart and headlining Nashville’s nearly 19,000-capacity Bridgestone Arena. Following extensive tour dates in 2023, Jelly Roll was nominated for Best New Artist and Best Country Duo/Group Performance for "Save Me" at the 2024 Grammy Awards.

Jelly did not disappoint. His performance was awesome. I feel privileged and lucky to be able to attend his first ever concert in Toronto. The venue ā€œHistoryā€ had great acoustics and the intimate setting made the night more special.

  • Jelly Roll in Canada

by Kaits on 2024-07-13History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

My friend and I were very happy that we were able to get tickets to this show.I have always said that when Jelly comes to Canada I’m going to the show! Jelly Roll put on a great show and the History venue was a great experience I can we had a great spot and also that there wasn’t a bad spot in the whole place! The security team were great and didn’t tolerate anyone who was as trying to cause problems. It was also nice that they were handing out water! I highly recommend seeing Jelly Roll in concert and attending any show at this venue!

  • Best show I've been to yet!

by Cherry on 2024-07-13History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

General admission usually means crazy, but if you're willing to wait 10+ hours outside to secure front and centre it is SO WORTH IT šŸ˜‚ made some life long friends and memories

  • Amazing experience!

by Cherry on 2024-07-13Meridian Centre - St CatharinesRating: 5 out of 5

It's always a great time seeing jelly roll, and his first canadian show EVER, how amazing! The venue was awesome, smooth and super fast entry. Towards the end of the show it got a little crazy and everyone from the back was pushing up and taking spots others had paid for with no security to be seen but otherwise it was great! J always delivers

  • Best concert ever!!

  • One of the best events I have been too

by Ciaran on 2024-07-13History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The venue was great! Super clean great view from all angles and great sound. Jelly roll was amazing as expected!

  • Absolutely unbelievable

by Krazejeff on 2024-07-13History - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Highly recommended show. Took my wife and she said she found that it was 100 percent better than any video. Jelly has made every attempt to right his wrongs and everyone deserves a second chance. The venue history was very good, line up was quite long esp if you need washroom should open doors a little earlier for packed show in my opinion. Drinks prices were what to be expected for bars these days

  • Artist 5+ Stars (Best Concert Ever!!) - Venue 4 Stars

by OrdinaryGuy on 2024-07-13Meridian Centre - St CatharinesRating: 5 out of 5

Hands down Best concert I have ever been too. Jelly Roll puts on an amazing show. He did not disappoint. This man is worth every penny plus some. Never have I seen an artist so connected with the audience. He was very interactive and brought the show down to a very human level. There was a lot of emotion in the arena. The whole place felt connected and not a fight or argument anywhere in the crowd. And he can sing. Some songs actually sounded better live than recorded. Glad I was at his first show outside of the USA. Because of that… I will now consider seeing him again when he tours next year inside of Canada, even knowing that the opportunity to see him at such a small venue has passed. I’ve been to well over 50 concerts in my life. This was my first time seeing a concert at The Meridian Centre in Saint Catharines, ON. I gave a lower review for the venue itself because the floor seats were a little on the uncomfortable side with very little elbow room. Parking was also a little complicated with no onsite parking. Everything else was satisfactory for a small venue. Sound was great. Really not a bad seat in the house for a concert.
