by csta on 2010-03-10Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Jesse Cook was simply amazing! I have been waiting months and months for him to come and he did not disappoint! The talent on that stage was unbelievable! I would watch this show every night! Thank you Jesse and crew....well worth the entertainment dollar! Please come back to Winnipeg SOON, my son wants to see your show as well.

    Jesse Cook

by Westwin on 2010-03-10Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Not my first Jesse Cook concert, certainly won't be my last. Very entertaining evening. Had everyone on their feet, dancing in the aisles. Wonderful music, even if, in Jesse's words, "it's a little weird".

    Jesse Cook was awesome!!!

    by Gigi1 on 2010-03-09Massey Hall - Toronto

Jesse's shows just keep getting better and better! I love his music and his ability to bring in music from another culture. The only downside was the lovely female singer was difficult to hear at times.

Jesse Cook's Concert Was Truely Amazing!

by marsjules on 2010-03-09Massey Hall - Toronto

Not only did Jesse Cook perform flawlessly throughout the night, including a few encores, my wife and I couldn't believe the amazing talent of other members of his band. His right hand man guitarist, left hand man violinist, and rear man percussionist were absolutely awesome! That's not all; we were especially thrilled with the presence of the South American accordion player. I play guitar myself as a hobby and have to say that this concert made me appreciate Jesse's incredible talent even more as well as make me want to get that guitar out of the closet again. Thanks Jesse for your talent, generosity, and kindness.

    Jesse Cook's rhumba party!

by Arkio on 2010-03-08Massey Hall - Toronto

Even though there is not much singing at Jesse Cook's concerts, he gives the audience such an amazing experience with watching him strum his guitar, making it look as if it was easy as spreading butter! He is soo talented and one of the most humble artists I have ever known. Never draws attention to himself but gives acknowledgement to his guest artists on stage along with his band members. His band members are also so talented and watching each one have a spotlight on what they can do with instruments is pure pleasure. I really enjoyed the fact that they wanted the audience to participate in clapping and having a good time rather than just sitting there. Cecilia done as an encore with Chris Church and percussion band member was so well done!

    Jesse rocks!

by choklitgirl on 2010-03-08Massey Hall - Toronto

Jesse Cook was amazing as usual!!!!....His back up band and all the extra talented musicians made it another night to remember! The only complaint that I have is that although I got pre-sale tickets, I wanted to be close (who wouldn't!). We got 2nd row (which you would think would be close....but it was off to the side. I thought they would be amazing seats , but Jesse was mostly on centre stage, and facing the other side....so in reality, we quite a distance from him. Also, Chris Church's mike was blocking Jesse for most of the concert....needless to say, I was not too happy about this. Other than that...it was amazing!

    Jesse Cook

by Gaita on 2010-03-06Massey Hall - Toronto

Jesse Cook and band always put on a great show. This one was no exception. Kick-Ass guitar and percussion along with highly talented musicians, not afraid to go outside the mainstream. If I had a complaint it would that it was too short. Highly recommend.

    A terrific performance

by musicbox on 2010-03-06Massey Hall - Toronto

As usual, Jesse puts on a terrific performance. His humble presence doesn’t do justice to his amazing guitar abilities. His band is as unique as his music, constantly evolving. They are characters that have tremendous talent and they draw you in to the music. This is the second concert I've attended and hope to go again if he comes back to Toronto. The highlight of the show is when they play unplugged and Chris his Violinist sings without a microphone. Truly a wonderful concert. Highly recommend it to anyone who like any sort of Latin beat.

    The ever evolving Jesse Cook

by torus on 2010-03-06Massey Hall - Toronto

I absolutely loved it! Jesse Cook's music is pure and emotional. He has gathered an amazing, and seemingly loyal, collection of multi-talented musicians around him. His relatively new drummer just oozes rhythm and Chris Church on violin sends shudders down my spine. I love the way Jesse has incorporated the Columbian style into his own. We just didn't get enough of Amanda Martinez; her spanish voice blends so beautifully with Jesse's guitar playing, I was hoping she would be included in more numbers. What I particularly appreciate about Jesse Cook's more recent concerts is that he speaks to the audience as though we were all in the same small room with him - and that room is filled with love.

by tankot on 2010-03-06Massey Hall - Toronto

I was looking forward to seeing Jesse Cook and his band for months and have to say that the wait was well worth it. The concert started on time (!). The guys were full of energy and spread the positive vibrations throughout the hall. I loved every minute of it as they make connection with the audience in such an easy and appealing way. Incredibly inspiring expereince!

    Jesse masters Massey

by mytoronto on 2010-03-06Massey Hall - Toronto

The best rumba party ever was held last night at Massey Hall. Jesse was home and at his best. Masterful guitar playing, percussion abounding - Chris Church has learned to play flute to add to the mix. Vocals were superb. Shame on Customs Canada! for taking gifted flutes away that were given to Cook from musician friends in Columbia.

    Jesse Cook was amazing!

by Sunshine13 on 2009-07-21The Studio at Hamilton Place - Hamilton

This was our first time seeing a performance by Jesse Cook. When and where is his next concert?!?! We have enjoyed listening to his CDs but seeing him live was an amazing experience. The venue at The Studio was an intimate setting - highly recommended. The members of his band are from Cuba, Columbia, Brazil, and Mexico - the combination of sound was incredible meshing the different types of music. It was interesting to see the range of ages in the audience - everyone from teens to grandparents. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening!
