    Between the poetry in the opening act and Jill Scott setting the stage on fire with her incredible voice, that of her background singers and her awesome band, I don't know where begin to describe how great this performance was.

    Jill reminded me what it's like to see a performance where the lead can actually sing. No backup dancers, fancy lights, videos or moves. Just a beautiful woman with a fabulous voice singing her heart out & making us laugh.

    Jill was inspiring, showering us with blessings and education all done with a wonderful live band that was tight as the smallest elastic band. Her voice from high to low, I forgot she could do that! Just an amazing moment in time that I'll never forget. She never disappoints and always surprises with nifty ways to Jazz up her performance and change the syncopation of songs. Time to play those live CD's I have!

    I saw Jill Scott on Tuesday night in Toronto. She was incredible, as always. She's been a long time between visits ... last time she was here, she played Massey Hall ... in 2004!~ She assured everyone before she left the stage that she would be back. What an entertainer ... amazing voice and sings with tremendous feeling not to mention a strong message both political as well as personal ... she's always upbeat and makes you feel good about yourself. She's been on my bucket list for quite some time ... so glad I got to see her this week!
