  • Jim Jefferies: The Unusual Punishment Tour

    by Bober7 on 2017-03-01Pantages Playhouse Theatre - WinnipegRating: 4 out of 5

It was a great show. Jim had a bad cold which took a little away from the show. I'd go see him again in a heartbeat however. 3 sold out shows at Pantages. Time for bigger venue ? Speaking of the Pantages. When will they fix up that place ? Turning into a real dump.

Although it was obvious Jim was suffering with a bad cold he put on a great show.

  • I Loved Jim Jefferies

Jim is exceptional, he kept us laughing all night I was shocked at how fast the evening went!!

  • Well worth it

by Melainee on 2017-02-28Pantages Playhouse Theatre - WinnipegRating: 5 out of 5

Jim Jeffries is hilarious. There was never a dull moment. I find it amazing how comedians can just keep going and going to make sure they have given the audience the time that they paid for. The pantages playhouse is a beautiful historical theatre but the paint could definitely use some restoration. He even made fun of it in his performance saying it looked like someone started peeling off the paint and just said F it. Seats are old and close together but we are easy to please. It was a nice night out.

  • Jim Jefferies, so worth it!

    by Tardis5 on 2016-11-15Paramount Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

I love his story segments. We laughed so hard at so many parts throughout his show. Being Canadian, I especially liked the bits where he talked about us. His timing was great and content was new and refreshing. The only downside was that he held the mic a little too far away from his mouth so it was a bit of a struggle to hear him clearly during parts of the show. Other than that, it was so worth coming down to see.

  • Had me tears and my abs hurt

by Selfish on 2016-08-25Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

Hilarious! Had me crying with laughter as times! His humor is very broad and pushes the edge and not for the close minded.

  • Controversial but humourous comedian !

by GlitterJ on 2016-08-24Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

Jim Jefferies had some good jokes in his set. He was on stage for over 2 hours. Some of his jokes some audience members would find offensive. Overall he is a funny comedian .

  • Love Jim Jefferies

by KrystalGraceMarie on 2016-08-23Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

Jim Jefferies is hilarious. And almost everything he says is true! I'm not a fan of most comedians and he is probably he only one I actually find funny. The jubilee auditorium is too hot. There should be better air conditioning AND serve drinks throughout the entire show, not just at the beginning. Also, the lines for drinks are way too long. The jubilee needs way more servers.

  • Unusual Punishment is right

by Anonymous on 2016-08-23Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 1 out of 5

If you are expecting the Netflix special Jim Jeffries think again. This show was described exactly as the name of his tour, "Unusual Punishment". Just over 2 hours with no intermission of junk material. Not his usual hilarious political views and gun control bits that you are hoping for, nothing of his take on how hypocritical religion is. More like a 20 minute monologue on how he doesn't appreciate people that are deaf in the audience because the person signing for them takes away from his show by distracting the audience. By the end of the show there were maybe 30% of the seats filled in my section with majority walking out 1.5 hours into it. If we could get our money back that would be great, unfortunately i cant get that 3 hours back of my Saturday night

  • Not for the faint of heart

by lillypearl on 2016-08-23Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

This was a great show. We were at the late show and he appeared quite drunk by that point. Still funny, but he took things a bit too far even for him in places. There was a mother daughter team in front of us who looked angry and upset the whole time. Several people walked out. Just when he started to sober up and get really funny his roadie ran up with another drink. Alas. There were a lot of moments of pure gold and he was hilarious but you need a strong stomach to sit through repellent parts like using a knife to cut a woman open during a gang rape because she does not have enough holes...not his finest. He performed for two hours, which is the longest live performance of stand up that I have seen. He gives you your money's worth.

  • If you are easily offended then please don't take

by Puffy88 on 2016-08-23Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

Jim Jefferies is one hilarious man but in saying that he is not for everyone. I for one love his sense of comedy but I would recommend checking out his specials and some youtube clips before purchasing tickets.

  • Jim Jefferies was BRILLIANT!!!

by Lissadawn4u on 2016-08-23Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

Fantastic show! Mostly new material, went on for 2 hours. Entertaining, thought-provoking, genius. Jim made the audience feel like he's a buddy over for a beer.

  • Exactly as expected (a good thing)

by rob1600223 on 2016-08-23Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

He's crude, he's never met a swear word he wouldn't use multiple times, he has no sacred cows and he's a very funny guy.

  • Jim Jefferies - The Unusual Punishment Tour

Jim Jefferies was great - as advertised. I like the way he occasionally interacts with idiots in the crowd.

Not as good as the last time he was in Edmonton, but still funny

  • Funny. Crude. Funny. Smart.

by WootWoot on 2016-08-23Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 4 out of 5

Excellent comedy with intelligent topics and delivery. Very smart man with a true talent for wit and comedy. Yes he is crude but that's his edge. Very well presented and very funny. Very well done and it is understandable how he has such a massive following. His show is also very long and great value. He intertwines true and deep topics with comedy. It isn't shallow laughs. There is intent to his routine. Well done.

Headliner delivered a never-ending series of well-knit personal stories with expert ease. A little shock and awe with rapid fire gut-wrenching hysterical one-liners.

  • Mr Jim Jefferies: An Excellent Show

by Rosco1964 on 2015-12-16National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

An excellent performance by Jim Jefferies. A few people left early on but they missed a fantastic show. First time we had seen him in person, and we enjoyed every minute of it.
