About

Ian Bagg is a world-touring comedian whose comedy was recently described as "dangerously flawless" on the JRE. But he is not just a comedian he is also the cohost of the weekly hockey podcast, "Enjoying Orange Slices with Jeff and Ian." Early in his life, he discovered a love for hockey. Whether he was involved in minor, junior, pro, or friends getting together to play shinny, he loved hockey! He went to some camps and was cut, realizing he had no chance of making the pros. He knew it was time to use his natural talent to make people laugh. Life has been fantastic for this energetic and wildly funny boundary-pushing entertainer. Touring nonstop across North America, he has started taking over the world with Australia, China, and the Middle East. With Europe being one of his latest stops. His fast-paced, off-the-cuff, quick-witted, animated style has him winning over television audiences. He placed in the finals of NBC's "Last Comic Standing." He made appearances on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" and "The Tonight Show," A popular guest on WTF, YMH,a half-hour comedy featured on Comedy Central and HBO, not to mention one-hour specials on Showtime "Getting to know you" and Amazon Prime "Conversations"! It also has earned him roles in award-winning movies like MVP 2! (humble brag) His fast-paced multi-direction show has made patrons want to see multiple shows on a weekend. The audience becomes characters in his performance as they answer questions. Most comedians have a monologue; Ian has a dialogue. Attend a show immediately and see why his high school history teacher asked Ian's parents if there was something he should know about Ian.

  • The comedic night of a lifetime

by Kimush on 2024-09-25The Danforth Music Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I have enjoyed Ian Baggs comedy since Covid. In fact, I think at times it’s his sense of humour, jokes and the way he laughs at himself that help me my partner get through the Covid Isolation. I have seen a few comedians live that I loved during Covid. And the experience with them be sad because I no longer care for them - their humour was stale. Ian Bagg on the other hand did not fail to give us the best comedic experience we’ve ever had. In fact, we’re looking for tickets for November. He involves the audience and pokes fun at those who dare sit close to the stage. He also pokes fun himself, and he laughs at himself - a lot!!! If you know his sense of humour, you know exactly what you’re going to get and he let us down. I don’t understand why Ian Bagg has not had a Netflix comedy show because the comedians that have must’ve had their delivery of jokes highly edited because live they did not perform well. And Ian was outstanding he never missed his mark once. And even when he was taken off guard by comments from the audience, he regrouped and came back with a comedic quip and continued to entertain his audience. I sat down for the show at 8pm and we left after 10pm and my face ached for days because I laughed and laughed and laughed! Thank you Ian Bagg we loved you!

  • Tons of laugh with Ian

Ian put on a great show. Could not stop laughing for the 1st hour. Slowed down a little near the end of the show but that did not take away from the overall show. The only downfall was the show was delayed 30-45 minutes. Thanks for the show

This guy is absolutely hilarious. I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time. He is so quick witted and knows how to make people laugh. I am still laughing! My wife really enjoyed his comedy. I will go back and see him again.

Ian Bagg was fabulous. Loved his context of Toronto and always so engaging even with a challenging front row. Ian did not disappoint and would see him again.

Ian did not disappoint! He was raunchy, cutting and hilarious. Highly recommend, but don't sit in the front rows if you don't want to be in his act.

  • Big Fan but Not His Best Show

I will laugh at almost anything Ian does, but I think that smaller venues are his real strength. Since the audience is his routine, it’s harder to connect in a large venue. He also did not move around enough with the audience members with his questions and comments, sticking to just a few rather mundane or attention-getting customers. If we’re in the front rows, we want you to talk to us!
