As one of today's premiere stand-up comedians, Jo Koy has come a long way from his modest beginnings performing in a Las Vegas coffee house. Jo's uniquely relatable comedy pulls inspiration from his colorful family that has reached all kinds of people and has translated into sold-out arenas around the world.Â
In 2022, Koy kicked off his Funny Is Funny World Tour by selling-out the Climate Pledge Arena (over 14,000 tickets) in his hometown of Seattle and ended the tour with a sold-out show at Tacoma Dome (over 19,000 tickets). Today, he continues breaking sales records at some of the most prestigious venues around the world including Mall of Asia Arena (Manila, PH), The Forum (Los Angeles), Coca-Cola Arena (Dubai), ICC Theatre (Sydney, AU), Radio City Music Hall (New York City), and FTX Arena (Miami) to name a few. This past November, Koy sold-out Madison Square Garden for the first time marking another milestone for the comedian. In 2017, Koy broke a record for the most tickets sold by a single artist at 23,000 tickets and 11 sold-out shows at The Neal S. Blaisdell Concert Hall in Honolulu. In response, the mayor's office in Honolulu proclaimed November 24th as "Jo Koy Day."Â
Koy recently starred in the Universal Picture film Easter Sunday, set around a family gathering to celebrate Easter Sunday, the comedy is based on Jo Koy's life experiences and stand-up comedy. Easter Sunday is currently available on Blu-ray, DVD and on-demand.Â
His highly anticipated 4th Netflix stand-up special, Live From The Los Angeles Forum premiered globally on September 2022. The special is a follow up to his 2019 Netflix special, Comin' In Hot. Koy has already had four highly rated and successful stand-up specials on Comedy Central and Netflix. In June 2020, the comedian released his first variety special, Jo Koy: In His Elements on Netflix in which Koy brings the laughs and beats to Manila, spotlighting local culture in a one-of-a-kind show featuring Filipino-American comedians, DJs and B-boys.Â
In 2021, Koy released his first autobiography, Mixed Plate: Chronicles of an All-American Combo with Harper Collins Publishers to raved reviews. In this funny and moving memoir, Koy uncovers the stories behind his stand-up: the conflict, the drama and the laughter as he struggles to find his place in the entertainment industry, his home and around the world.Â
In 2019, Jo Koy reached #1 on the Billboard Charts for his stand-up comedy album, Live From Seattle, and in 2018, he was given the prestigious "Stand-Up Comedian Of The Year" award at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal.Â

We love Jo Koy & have watched his specials more than once. It was great to see him in our home town of Vancouver! Our family has a great sense of humor, however, we thought he went on a bit too much about sexual content. Not that we are prudes, we just think he could have dialed it back. The interaction with the people in the front row sections went on too long. It made us feel kind of insignificant in the farther sections. My favorite content with Jo Koy is when he talks about his culture, aging & his mothers antics! I'm sure there are many more stories we have not heard in his Netflix specials. Love this guy!!!
We absolutely loved the show..opening acts were funny as wellâŚbut Jo KoyâŚLove, Love, Love him!!! Super funny! Great evening and weâre looking forward to his next visit to Vancouver! â¤ď¸â¤ď¸
What a great night. Show was amazing. Jo hit it about of the park I was in tears all night laughing so hard. Also introduced me to a new comic that o wasn't familiar with in Joey Guila who was also amazing and a special bonus treat. Will be on the lookout for him also.
The show was absolutely amazing. My guts hurt the next day from laughing so hard. Definitely happy with my purchase.
He is a card .... love that he interacts with the audience and improvs a lot of material. He is funny, and real, and I thoroughly enjoyed the show!! Absolutely love him!!!
One of the best shows Iâve been to. Laughing so hard until my cheeks hurt. Enjoyed openers as well. Joy Koy is definitely worth the it. Highly recommend, canât wait to see him again.
I have not laughed that hard in a long time! I literally had tears of laughter streaming down my face, moments I had to try and catch my breath, and I walked out with my sides hurting! Crowd work was fantastic! Loved how his show is just a âconversationââŚ.its not scripted and even though I have watched some of his stuff there was not a single joke I had heard before! If you want a good belly workout go see Jo Koy!
We had so much fun! We travel from South Okanagan just to watch Jokoy and it was worth the trip! Awesome show!!
My friend and I were still laughing on the way home, reliving our favourite moments. He was so funny and seemed very natural talking about stuff without having it prepared a lot of the time. Canât wait for the next two Netflix specials. Even the opening comedians were quite good and I loved that there was a DJ so that it wasnât a quiet boring arena before the show My only negative comment or frustration around it was the confusion about it being a âno phone eventâ. The first email made it sound like we werenât allowed to have our phones at the event, that we had to leave them at home and I gather from the second email that came out closer to the event a lot of people were confused and upset about it. Because it finally clarified that we werenât allowed to use any recording devices during the show. Jo Koy I would pay to see over and over again! Very much worth the time and money!
Great show, very funny. Our faces hurt from laughing so hard.
Non stop laughter from beginning to end Canât wait till he comes back
Loved the show. Laughed so much that my cheeks hurting from laughing the next day.
Very funny. Seemed real and off the cuff. We had a great time.
Was a fun experience and loved the show. Haven't laughed so much or hard in a long time. Just wished there was merchandise to buy and there wasn't. Flew in from the Yukon just to see Jo Koy. Totally worth it and would do again in the future.
Jo Koy is hilarious! I was laughing so much that I was basically crying. He went on longer than what we were expecting (almost 2 hours!). Loved how he got the audience involved with some of his comedy skits. Can't wait to see him again in TO!
Amazing show! Such a great performer! My face hurt so much from laughing. Definitely was the highlight of my 2024. So worth it to watch him live!
I was with my husband and this was our first time for a comedy world tour, we didn't expect that there was 3 of them performing, all of them are amazing but jokoy is the best! all the driving, price and prking was worth it :) I hope he'll come back.. I super recommend his show!
I had the most endorphin-inducing, cheek-hurting, belly-aching 2.5hrs of my life!!! I've seen all of Jokoy's Netflix specials and he's even funnier in person. 10 out of 10.
Awesome night lots of laughs thank you Jo Koy! Opening acts were hilarious too!
