  • Amazing as expected..my birthday present to myself

by ScottyR on 2018-11-05Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 5 out of 5

With one of the world's top rated guitarist on venue, one would not expect anything else but a spectacular show...and it delivered! Band was top notch, from horns and Auzzie background singers to Antoine (Letterman) drums, his regular and long-time bass/rhythm partner and SRV's keyboardist to accompany JB. Fantastic night. Thought there would be more interest....I believe only 2200 at CTC. Possibly would have been better suited at NAC venue. All in all...a great night.

  • Joe Bonamassa: Night #1 @ Sony Centre

by RenewedIronMaidenFan on 2018-11-05Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Great show. Everyone in the band is top notch, I love the interaction between band members. Joe is an amazing guitar player but he definitely gives the entire a band a chance to shine.

  • Joe Bonamassa was a master at work!

by Anonymous on 2018-11-05Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The Sony Centre billed it as the Greatest Guitar Show of the year, and it truly lived up to it hype!

  • by Kattmlt on 2018-11-03Canadian Tire Centre - KanataRating: 4 out of 5

Didn’t know anything about this artist other than he’s a Blues guitarist. Well, the show was excellent. Didn’t matter that I didn’t know any of his songs; his guitar playing was so enjoyable. Great singer, performer. Had an excellent band and singers accompanying him. Very enjoyable.

  • Always great Joe Bonamassa

    by Roadie23 on 2018-08-16Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

The usual outstanding performance from one of the world's best guitar/vocalists. A great backing band. They covered their catalog of the last few years of music as well as some from way back.

  • Disappointed

by UncleFred on 2018-05-03Rochester Auditorium Theatre - RochesterRating: 3 out of 5

Sorry to say, but I had a rather disappointing experience at this theatre. We had seats in the balcony with a good view of the stage, but either poor acoustics or terrible sound mixing resulted in overamped noise most of the time. I couldn't make out the lyrics being sung. I could see hands moving on the piano, but couldn't tell that it was one, etc. When Joe did his solos, they were fine, but the whole band playing together came across as described. So many great musicians and it might as well have been the local bar band. The seats in this theatre are also quite small and cramped, so after 2 hours, I needed to get up and walk around. I won't be returning to this theatre. Hopefully, Joe's show in Buffalo's Shea's Theatre will make up for this disappointment.

  • Joe Bonamassa Show April 30/2018 in Rochester, NY

by Anonymous on 2018-05-03Rochester Auditorium Theatre - RochesterRating: 5 out of 5

I've seen Joe Bonamassa now three times in the last year and I am awestruck with both him and his amazing band of musicians and singers! From the stage setup to the presentation of the music, it's truly what entertainment is supposed to be! But here's what really moves and inspires me to new heights each time I see him. Every time Joe takes and straps on a guitar, I'm just blown away by his craft. Joe's not just another guy on a stage holding and playing a guitar. He becomes and really, morphs into a "Man Guitar"! There is no level of separation between the two. Every riff, slide, and time he ventures up and down the fret board, just flows like a smooth flowing river to a thunderous water fall! He takes the listener on a journey that may start on the ground, but soon takes you up into the stratosphere, and then brings you back down to earth like a feather on the wind! And surrounding himself with fellow band mates and time tested, proven musicians like Reese Wynans, Michael Rhodes, Anton Fig, Lee Thornburg and Paulie Serra just shows Joe's head is on straight and he's not all about Joe! His tribute to the "Three Kings" and renditions of their material is nothing but classy. It is truly a modern day stage show for lovers of Blues Rock that will leave his crowd feeling a lot more than just "thirst quenched". Simply put, I recommend an evening with Joe and his band to anyone looking to be entertained in extraordinary way. There is nobody that works harder than Joe and his band, and I'm sure anyone will come away knowing that they've just heard the modern day "Master of Blues Guitar"!

  • An unforgettable Joe Bonamassa show

by MichelD on 2018-05-01Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton BeachRating: 5 out of 5

We realized band members have fun. I drove from Montreal to see that show and enjoy it 200%. The acoustic of the Hampton Ballroom is great. All excellent musicians. A real team work.

  • Fun night!

by steveswife03 on 2017-11-30FirstOntario Concert Hall (Formerly Hamilton Place) - HamiltonRating: 4 out of 5

Great show. The drummer was amazing. Everyone was on point. The only downside was whoever was controlling Joe's sound. It was pretty muffled you couldn't make out anything he was singing. But still, twas a fun night--- absolutely fantastic band! On a side note, we were thrilled to find out first ontario concert hall is Hamilton Place. Not a bad seat in the house!!

  • Joe is the best

by Rholland525 on 2017-11-26FirstOntario Concert Hall (Formerly Hamilton Place) - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

Plain and simply one of the most memorable blues nights ive ever had.Cant wait to see him again.

  • A truly gifted guitarist

by Avalon58 on 2017-11-26FirstOntario Concert Hall (Formerly Hamilton Place) - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

My second time seeing Joe, but somehow this show didn't bring the same WOW factor as the last one at the Sony Centre. We had excellent seats but the sound wasn't as crisp and clear as it should have been, which I think may have a lot to do with it. However, despite all that, this guy can play, and there is no taking that away from him. Every one needs to see him play at least once.

  • Amazing Joe Bonnamossa

by rotty on 2017-11-26FirstOntario Concert Hall (Formerly Hamilton Place) - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

The show was more than we hoped for. Joe is truly an amazing guitarist. Would so go see them again.

  • One of the best rock & blues guitarists

by stoneycanuk on 2017-11-26FirstOntario Concert Hall (Formerly Hamilton Place) - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

This is the third time I've seen Joe over the last 5 years and every show is different. Talented musicians especially Reece Wynans who appears more confident and upfront than the last Canada tour, Anton Fig on drums, Michael Rhodes on bass guitar, a great brass section and two amazing girl backing vocalists. As always, Joe played predominently new material which this time sounded some what samey. However, he also played "Don't lie to me" and his classics "Slow Train" and "Sloe Gin".

  • by proshop on 2017-11-25FirstOntario Concert Hall (Formerly Hamilton Place) - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

great show played over 2 hours and every song was awesome

  • Bonamassa Delivers

by Livemusicman on 2017-11-25FirstOntario Concert Hall (Formerly Hamilton Place) - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

Every Single song Joe and the band played was great. Tremendous setlist with lots of Blues of Desperation to open with then transitioning everywhere. the band was tight, backing vocals strong - tremendous keyboards and Anton Fig his usual self on drums. Sometimes i wonder what joe would sound like with a drummer that would help lead him new places rather than just support him strongly. Horn section was excellent. Bass was good however again a more adventurous player might take Joe to the next level. I would go see this show three nights in a row if were within 5 house to do so. he is one of the great guitar players of all time who just keeps on getting better. Joe's next live recording should be at Massey Hall in Toronto

  • Must see this guitar God

by cheaphead on 2017-11-25FirstOntario Concert Hall (Formerly Hamilton Place) - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

Exceded all expectations, first time at a Joe concert. Supporting band was ooozing with talent

  • What else is there to surpass ?

by blues4all on 2017-11-25FirstOntario Concert Hall (Formerly Hamilton Place) - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

The growth of this soon to be living legend is staggering in its width and breadth The level of skill is equal to his range of music selection including his writing which now is as good or better than the classics that he performs He has added horns and backup vocals to the core of masters playing with him which has taken him towards the level of fullness of sound that I think he has been hearing in his head for the last decade ( a guess on my part but I don't think I am wrong ) Hamilton concert place was sold out of course and the crowd was exceptionally receptive Joe of course performed with mastery and his voice is now reaching a solid full point where it deserves to be appreciated along the level of his guitar playing . Joe, please keep writing and bringing your genius and talent back this way every year at least once .

  • Legendary

  • Joe Bonamassa - Great guitar but average sound

by RalphHead on 2017-11-25FirstOntario Concert Hall (Formerly Hamilton Place) - HamiltonRating: 4 out of 5

Joe Bonamassa is a simply awesome guitar player backed up with some world class musicians. Unfortunately, at this venue anyway, the sound mixing wasn't the best. Both the vocals and the horns were all but lost behind dverything else. Quite disappointing.
