With a legendary career spanning more than four decades, KANSAS has firmly established itself as one of America's iconic classic rock bands. This "garage band" from Topeka released their debut album in 1974 after being discovered by Wally Gold, who worked for Don Kirshner, and have gone on to sell more than 30 million albums worldwide.
Composing a catalogue that includes fifteen studio albums and five live albums, KANSAS has produced eight gold albums, three sextuple-Platinum albums (Leftoverture, Point of Know Return, Best of KANSAS), one platinum live album (Two for the Show), and two one million-selling gold singles, 'Carry On Wayward Son' and 'Dust in the Wind.' KANSAS appeared on the Billboard charts for over 200 weeks throughout the '70's and '80's and played to sold-out arenas and stadiums throughout North America, Europe and Japan. 'Carry On Wayward Son' continues to be one of the top five most played songs on classic rock radio, and 'Dust In the Wind' has been played on the radio more than three million times!
2016 marked the release of "The Prelude Implicit," KANSAS's fifteenth studio album. The wide-ranging progressive rock album was released on InsideOut Music, and marked the band's first studio album release in 16 years.
In 2020 KANSAS followed up "The Prelude Implicit" with the album "The Absence of Presence."
The band, which is currently comprised of original guitarist Richard Williams, keyboardist/vocalist Tom Brislin, vocalist/keyboardist Ronnie Platt, violinist/guitarist Joe Deninzon, guitarist Zak Rizvi, bassist/vocalist Dan McGowan, and original drummer Phil Ehart. Eric Holmquist performs on drums while Phil Ehart continues to recover from a major heart attack. KANSAS continues to perform in front of large and enthusiastic audiences around the world.
Along with constant touring, KANSAS continues to remain a fixture of Classic Rock radio and popular culture. The band continues to reach a whole new audience through their unmistakable presence in various commercials, live sports broadcasts, popular video games Rock Band, Guitar Hero, and Grand Theft Auto; the band's documentary film "KANSAS: Miracles Out of Nowhere," and a guest appearance on The CW's television show 'Walker.' The band's songs have also been included in various television shows such as 'Supernatural,' 'Reacher,' 'All Elite Wrestling,' 'South Park,' 'The Office,' and 'The Simpsons;' as well as blockbuster films including 'Old School,' 'The Suicide Squad,' 'Anchorman,' 'Pitch Perfect,' and 'Happy Gilmore.'

Kansas was a very enjoyable show and the entertainment of talented musicians were excellent!! Loved it!!
One of my favorite venues (Caesars Windsor Casino) and Kansas was awesome and they did not disappoint. It has been a few years since seeing Kansas and they sounded just as good as ever.
We really enjoyed the show , I grow up listening to Kansas, to see them was a real treat. The Production, sound, lighting was excellent ! Great job all around !
Every musician on that stage was awesome! From the first note to the last I had a smile on my face. Enjoyed every minute.
This night started with the appearance of a local band the Autumn Kings and they were amazing. How generous of Kansas to allow this. Then the appearance of Kansas and they didn’t disappoint. They were exactly what I thought they would be, incredible and amazing. 50 Years and still rocking. Thank you for coming to Windsor Ontario, I hope you will be back. To the Autumn Kings, wishing you much success with your future, you are going to be amazing, just don’t forget about your roots and stay true to yourselves.
The performance was excellent but the volume was painfully loud which made it very difficult to listen to. 5 stars to the band, 1 star to whoever handled the sound.
When I was just 16 years old, I made a "bucket list"of all of the great songs that I wanted to see performed by the bands that recorded them. This last week in Vancouver, I crossed off the last song on the list . . . it only took 43 years . . . and Kansas played that last song, "Carry On My Wayward Son"! What an amazing show by Kansas at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver. Simply Outstanding! We travelled from Vancouver Island for the show and it was well worth the effort, made even more special by having my wife and son with me for the show. As I've always said, there is no substitute for live music. Kansas certainly showed us why. Bravo!
The QE Theatre is a great venue for Kansas. Had a great view of the stage. Kansas is a classic band from my time as a teenager. I even learned how to play Carry On My Wayward Son back in the day. The breadth of the music played by the members of Kansas was phenomenal. My partner, who isn't a big fan of rock music, was very impressed by the show. We really enjoyed the concert. The sound was occasionally a tad too hot in the higher frequencies. The higher notes of the vocals, violin and keys didn't sit as well in the mix as I would have hoped. The overall sound wasn't awful but not as good as 5 star show. The previous concert I saw that the QE was Joe Bonamassa. The sound at the Joe Bonamassa show was excellent, well balanced with great definition of each sound source (vocal, guitars, keys, drums..).
I had an amazing time at this concert. It was truly special and they played very well.
