He may have played on April 1st. ... but he was not fooling! :-) - Great Show. - Joe and his three band mates played a solid 2 hours with very little dead time between songs. - Well received by the crowd . - Good mix of Blues/Rock - He was awesome ... I would go to another one of his shows in a minute.

How is it Joe, that I did not hear about you before now?!?! Three of us went not knowing what to expect, and were all thrilled with the show. Will absolutely see you again next time you are in town!!

  • JB Owned the Stage

by pharmerphil on 2011-04-03Ottawa Civic Centre - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

I had never seen Joe Bonamassa live before Friday night although I had seen every video on youtube and had already joined JBXP. I have been to many shows in my day but this was one incredible concert. Joe Bonamassa and band were actually on stage and started playing (by my account) at least one minute early - when does this ever happen? Timing was awesome, song selection and quality of the sound could not have been better. Had the pleasure of having supper with Joe's manager beforehand who provided some insights into the man and the band and I must say I am impressed with Joe Bonamassa's work ethic and love of music. Can't wait for him to return to Ottawa - it won't be soon enough by my reckoning!

  • Incredible!!

As always, Joe Bonamassa gave an unforgettable and energetic performance, playing for two and a half hours straight without a sign of slowing down. This performance was the best I've seen in years, and I look forward to seeing him again!

  • An Incredible Evening

    by Evertonis1 on 2010-11-19Rochester Auditorium Theatre - RochesterRating: 5 out of 5

It was a welcome home for Joe in Rochester with his parents along with many friends there for the returning son....and he did not disappoint. We had travelled from Canada and the concert was worth every moment of the 4 hour drive each way. He never left the stage, he had an incredible backing band, and he did not let his foot off the pedal from the moment he stepped on the stage to when he threw his picks into the audience. My son ( the guitar player) and I had never seen him live before.....we will return whenever he returns....hopefully, in Canada.

  • playing for the hometown crowd!

by canadianblueshound on 2010-11-18Rochester Auditorium Theatre - RochesterRating: 5 out of 5

Joe was playing in what is, to him, his hometown venue, the Rochester Auditoreum Theater (his folks were in the audience!). A magnificant venue it is, but filled with Joe's signature guitar riffs, it became nirvana for the blues lover in me. A half dozen concert standards, along with some not-so-familiar material, brought the crowd to it's feet on more than a few occasions. The other members of his band had his back, reinforcing his message to the audience: the blues are alive and well and there is fresh blood to fill the void left by the passing of many of the Blues' founders. Thank you, Joe, and your whole group for an awesome night of blues music!

  • Joe Bonamassa Rocks the Blues!

by BluesLovinLaynie on 2009-10-27Mayo Civic Center Presentation Hall - RochesterRating: 5 out of 5

I travelled from Canada to see this great blues guitarist and he didn't disappoint! He is an unbelievable guitar player with tons of soul and talent. His band is equally as talented and I'm confident that both blues and rock fans would thoroughly enjoy his show. Hoping he's heading to Winnipeg one day soon...

Bonamassa was amazing, the band was tight. The show lasted for 2 hrs. the disapponting thing was the sound. for a small venue it really was not loud enough, but other wise it was a great evening. it was great to see Gina Sicilia (she could have sang at least to 2 song she has such a great voice)
