Joe Hisaishi Tickets

He was amazing - please bring him back to Toronto to do his Studio Ghibli concerts~

Mr. Joe Hisaishi's music is absolutely captivating, it would move and bring tears to even the most emotionless person, hence my SO. The entire experience was truly magical.

This is best concert I have ever listened. Joe is one of the best composer, love the concert. If any other chance I will definitely go too!

I wish the entire session were music from the movies of Hayao Miyazaki as they are all very beautiful.

This show was rescheduled over the last couple of years due to COVID but it was well worth the wait! A fantastic performance from all involved and the music was stunning and so moving. It was a beautiful evening filled with beautiful music.

I can’t recall ever witnessing such an emotional reaction to a single note. It was bizarre to see how emotional the crowd was when he launched into the first encore of the theme to Spirited Away. Just goes to show the power of his music and how much it means to people. Genius

What a great performance! Worth the 2 year wait (COVID)!

It’s a bit disappointed the program of the concert is not released at the time of ticket sale. We were expecting the concert being Studio Gilbli’s music given this is what the composer is famous for but it ended up half of the concert being pieces unknown to the audience. If I had known the program at the time of sale I would not have bought the ticket in the first place. So feeling a bit deceived/misled/disappointed.

A memorable and beautiful night filled with music composed by a legend. Joe Hisaishi and the Toronto Symphony Orchestra performed perfectly and made this a moment to cherish. Timeless music suitable for anyone of any age. I can only hope he will come to Toronto again as I will surely be present for it guaranteed.

I've longed to watch a performamce from Joe Hisaishi for many years now. I have not been disappointed. It was truly beautiful performance from Joe Hisaishi, the Toronto Symphonic Orchestra and from the soprano who did an amazing job of learning the lyrics. I was amazed. There were 2 times the sound system malfunctionned but every performers had amazing concentration, it didn't affect them. Thank you for this memorable evening.

Seeing Joe Hisaishi in person is a lifetime experience.

Got to see Joe up close near the front row, and see him weave his magic. Definitely a must see if you are a fan of Ghibli or of Hisaishi himself. Amazing performances by the TSO as well

Maybe I came in with too much expectation, but the performance wise I was expecting more. While Joe Hisaishi was there, it was the local Toronto orchestra playing (which is fine as they did a great job but wished they had stated that). The first half of the performance were music which was lacking and I almost felt asleep. I had came to listen to the classic studio ghibli pieces but only 25% was that. The hall itself was fine, but then again no decorations at all for what the performance was. There wasn’t even a poster outside. Maybe my expectations were too high but was hoping for a bit more given this concert was already delayed by two years.

Got tickets in 2019, and it kept getting delayed but oh my god it was definitely worth the wait.
