  • Amazing time!

by Justin on 2022-09-25Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Venue staff were all fantastic. Much smoother entry and exit than many recent shows at this place. My son and I sat front row and John ended up interacting with him throughout the night and it made for an incredible and unforgettable set of memories. Great experience!!!

  • Great show. Ridiculous line up

by CJ on 2022-09-25Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

Because of the Yondr bags, the line up was ridiculous. We got there at 7:45 and were in the line up until 8:40. We missed the first opening act. So disorganized!! There was only one woman doing her job properly to manage the line and get things moving. The rest of the show was great. Dan Levy and John Mulaney were hilarious. Wished we had seen the first opener as well.

  • John Mulaney is one of the funniest comedians i have seen.

by Nadya on 2022-09-25Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

All his jokes were funny and he told great and interesting stories of his experience with drugs and rehab.

  • Laugh your ass off comedy

by Kelly on 2022-09-25Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Wasn’t too sure if a comedy show would be my style, I’ve watched all of his Netflix specials and of course he kept me laughing through the whole thing, but I didn’t know if a live show would be the same. Both John and the two openers kept me laughing for the entire 2 and a half hours of the show, absolutely amazing. Can’t wait till he comes back!

  • Amazing….so worth the wait!!

Fantastic night out! My cheeks didn’t stop hurting until early into the morning. Hilarious!!!

  • Great Performance, Terrible Venue

by Babbittoe on 2022-09-25Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

John Mulaney was excellent. I laughed so much my cheeks hurt. Scotiabank arena seriously tarnished the experience. We arrived 20 mins early but ended up standing in line for an hour. It was chaos. No one knew where to go. The lines were unorganized. No information was passed to patrons. I’d seriously question attending a no phone event there again.

  • Great show...not so great an experience going out

I love Mulaney and comedy shows in general. I enjoy seeing professionals and individuals who are craftsmen and women in the field of Comedy, and John has always been such a unique mind. His show had brilliant moments, and I understand that his rehab and intervention was going to be a main topic, and I was fine with that, although my wife and friends that I brought weren't that into the amount of the show with that focus. You could see his newer material especially about the FBI and Russia was new, and it really was great because he was taking a very logical and unique approach to the way he discusses politics in a round about way. Truly unique. The issue was the lack of staff especially around the device retrieval of our phones. I've been to the chappelle show and even Bill Burr a few weeks ago and that was fine, but the crew hired for the Mulaney show was not able to handle the amount of people and it made exiting the building pretty unsafe. Especially since trying to alleviate congestion, they were doing the device removal outside of the building on bay and LS and it was very under staffed. In the end, you can tell Mulaney was working through his new set, which did have a few bits he started on snl and maybe elsewhere, but he is on a journey, and I hope netflix or something picks up this show in like a year from LA or new York and it's polished and done, cuz I think it will be stellar. Keep talking politics John. PS. It took me until the day after the mulaney show for the JFL Toronto app to finally start working for me and my friends, my wife's app until Saturday. That's another bullshit story though.

  • Funny Guy, Dark Subject Matter

by Brianna on 2022-09-25Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

John Mulaney is a talented individual, there’s no doubt about that. I’ve been a fan of his for years and I love his standup. This particular set dove into some heavy subject matter (his intervention and time in rehab) and I felt that he did a great job at finding the humour in an otherwise depressing situation. Can’t wait until his next tour!

  • Fantastic night of comedy!

John Brought us an incredible night of comedy! Absolutely loved his set and the openers were great too

  • Clever and classic and Raw

by Sparkles on 2022-09-25Scotiabank Arena - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

John Mulaney has a unique ability to be both self-deprecating and tongue-in-cheek. He is a world-class raconteur. He is smart without being smarmy though he can appear that way but that is the genius that is John. His vulnerability and subject matter was heartwarming and appreciated.

  • Exceptional

by noble on 2022-09-17Rating: 5 out of 5

The opening act was great only to be outdone by a performance that is perhaps one of the best I have ever seen. Never thought I’d say that about a comedy show but Mulaney’s delivery, vulnerability, authenticity and ability to connect with an audience was absolutely captivating. Admittedly I’m unfamiliar with much of Mulaney’s previous work however having attended numerous comedy performances ranging from amateur to world renowned, this was without question exceptional by any comparison. While laughter was to be expected, the sense of fulfillment provided by the show was not.

  • the best thing ever

by STREETSMARTS on 2019-09-22Rating: 5 out of 5

The Show was amazing. The opener had a great story about underwater drug dealers and really warmed the crowd up. Pete Davidson surpassed all my expectations and had a lot of funny stories. But the man, the myth, the legend, the asian lady himself John Mulaney absolutely killed. ALL new material. Nothing from his netflix shows. Some very good canada Jokes. And the cherry on top was that someone asked about petunia. AMAZING SHOW

  • Funny as Always

Opening Act, Main Acr; all fabulous. Lots of involvement from the crowd; each show is bound to be amazing and change per audience involvement. Excellent collaboration over at the Mulaney team headquarters ;) Well done Keep it coming John! Maybe next time a V-Neck will be in order? ;)

  • He Killed!

by VancouverIdolfan on 2017-11-14Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

John Mulaney does about one new show a year so if you get a chance, don't miss this one and then enjoy again when it makes its way to Netflix. Very funny and almost 90 minutes with a very good 30 minute opener.

  • Can't share a long review. Too busy laughing.

    by TDJ9 on 2017-11-13Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Was surprised to see that it was ALL new material I hadn't seen before. Fantastically executed, and even handled the hecklers well by incorporating them into the act. He's a master.

  • John Mulaney was amazing!

John Mulaney is so gifted in his craft and is incredibly funny. His stage presence is amazing and his humour is unlike most popular comedians. John's comedy is much less crass and is just hilarious. I can't wait until his next tour!

  • Hysterical

I couldn't breathe half the time as I was laughing so hard. The show was even better than I had anticipated - and the opening act was great too!

  • by Sanfransal on 2017-11-13Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 2 out of 5

We love John Mulaney. We did not love this event. To be fair he did inform the audience he was feeling unwell. However, it was not his energy that was lacking, it was the quality of his jokes. We were looking forward to John's usual smart wit and sassy delivery. Unfortunately, we had one or two of these moments in the entire evening. Perhaps we should have just waited for the Netflix special to come out.

  • John Mulaney is so funny

by Aevitas on 2017-11-13Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

The show was fantastic. Seaton Smith was great as well. Our cheeks were hurting by the end of the night from laughing so much. The only issue that night was that it started a bit later than planned because line ups outside were long and it took time to seat everyone.
