    He Killed!

by VancouverIdolfan on 2017-11-14Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

John Mulaney does about one new show a year so if you get a chance, don't miss this one and then enjoy again when it makes its way to Netflix. Very funny and almost 90 minutes with a very good 30 minute opener.

Can't share a long review. Too busy laughing.

by TDJ9 on 2017-11-13Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

Was surprised to see that it was ALL new material I hadn't seen before. Fantastically executed, and even handled the hecklers well by incorporating them into the act. He's a master.

John Mulaney is so gifted in his craft and is incredibly funny. His stage presence is amazing and his humour is unlike most popular comedians. John's comedy is much less crass and is just hilarious. I can't wait until his next tour!

    Hysterical

I couldn't breathe half the time as I was laughing so hard. The show was even better than I had anticipated - and the opening act was great too!

We love John Mulaney. We did not love this event. To be fair he did inform the audience he was feeling unwell. However, it was not his energy that was lacking, it was the quality of his jokes. We were looking forward to John's usual smart wit and sassy delivery. Unfortunately, we had one or two of these moments in the entire evening. Perhaps we should have just waited for the Netflix special to come out.

    John Mulaney is so funny

by Aevitas on 2017-11-13Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

The show was fantastic. Seaton Smith was great as well. Our cheeks were hurting by the end of the night from laughing so much. The only issue that night was that it started a bit later than planned because line ups outside were long and it took time to seat everyone.

John Mulaney nearly cracked my windpipe

by quarentayocho on 2017-06-06Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

The whole show was incredibly funny! John Mulaney had the whole theatre laughing with his reenactments of past events in his life, anecdotes, and his story about his dog, Petunia. The opening act was funny as well! She did a great job warming up the audience!

My face hurt from laughing so much

by brittsco on 2017-06-06Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

I went in with medium expectations - John Mulaney is a 'name' but not a huge one, and the one Netflix special of his I've watched was funny, but not side-splittingly so. But in person, Mulaney slayed. My face hurt at the end from laughing tons and I could barely keep my eyes open there were tears pushing out of them. Honestly, one of the best standup acts I've ever seen - highly recommend.

I have seen many stand up comics (Amy Schumer, Jim Gaffigan, Russell Brand, Daniel Tosh....) and John Mulaney was one of the best I have ever seen.

John Mulaney is a witch and I like him a lot

by Petunia69 on 2017-05-16National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

This show was hilarious. Max the opener was great, and Mulaney was non-stop laughs. He's funny in a way that isn't forcing controversy or being overly vulgar. His style is great.

    Good but was expecting better

by aly88 on 2017-05-15National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

I'm a big fan of John Mulaney's comedy, particularly how (usually) non-problematic his material is, especially for a straight white dude. However I think this time around he may have gotten a little lazy, and some of his jokes are a little cringe-worthy. Most of it was great, but I was expecting a little more based on his Comeback Kid special (which I think is fantastic). His opening act was pretty good as well, very similar to Mulaney's brand of comedy.

    John Mulaney kills

by Nimbin on 2015-10-28Métropolis - Montreal

I've seen a lot of comics over the years and John Mulaney is one of the sharpest and funniest I've seen in a long time. The material was all new to me (I have a couple of his live sets on the ipod) and consistently strong throughout. Unlike most young comedians, he does a pretty clean act, relying more on timing and wits than tiresome cringe humour. Most impressive was his improve abilities - his interaction with audience members was just as funny as the regular material and flawless - the guy did not miss a beat. Well worth seeing.
