  • Johnny Reid ...best concert of the year!

by Samy21 on 2010-10-01Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

My husband and I both agree that Johnny Reid was the best concert of the year. I have been to quite a few concerts (both won and bought) the last 2-3 years and this was, by far, the best so far. His humour, compassion and heartfelt stories made this concert so enjoyable that I am looking forward to his next visit to Calgary. I could listen to him over and over. His is a true entertainer and definitely worth paying to see. Thank you. See you next time, Johnny Reid :)

Great performance! Sounds very much live, like his studio recordings. Tells good stories, loved the song about his grandmother and who is he going to call on Sunday. This guy seems like "The Real Deal", very genuine, makes you want to be his friend. Awesome!!!

What an amazing show..... Johnny is a very humble man with an incredible voice and the best part is when he thanked the audience for spending our hard earned money and supporting him......AMAZING - Loved it ....Loved it - Incredible band! I would spend my hard earned money on his show anytime! Cheers

  • Johnny Reid was absolutly fabulous

by Bunny3 on 2010-10-01Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Johnny out did himself. The band and back up singers were great. Johnny told personal and funny stories of how is songs were created.

  • Johnny - What a voice

by Anonymous on 2010-10-01Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

As usual he has an amazing voice and a truly down to earth personality. So enjoyable to hear him sing with all of the passion that he brings, although his band can be to overpowering at times and takes away from him. Did not enjoy the little girl singing on stage, all be it cute for a couple of lines, we would much rather hear Johnny. Enjoyed his more intimate moments on stage (much more like his center street church performance where you could feel his passion) and his stories. This is what makes the concert feel like you are a part of his life. As usual amazing - keep it up

  • true showman

by Custer on 2010-10-01Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

That was one of the best concerts we've ever been to. As usual the sound at the Jubilee is great. Johnny works hard to entertain and it was well worth the cost. True entertainment makes you laugh and cry, as well as impressing you with talent. Johnny has it all! Beautiful voice, well produced and executed performance, full of dynamics! I'd definitely go again!

  • Johnny Reid - better each time

by timmy2 on 2010-10-01Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

He was great - that slightly gravelly voice that can sing soft ballads, love songs, and then belt out some great rock and roll stuff is so easy to listen to. I love the stories he tells - about his family and his love for his wife and kids. He seems like such a down-to-earth type of man and preformer. He also sang old favourites as well as from the new album so it was a good overall mix.

Concert was very good, Johnny has an Amazing voice, it is just too bad that the band was soo loud and tended to overpower him at times. Enjoyed him on stage when he and 3 band members were sitting on stools singing, it was much more down to earth and you could really hear his amazing voice and see his passion. Very much like his center street church performances.

  • Johnny was Fabulous!!

I first met Johnny at the Airdrie Rodeo where our son opened for him.....have loved him ever since. His show at the Jube was amped up from the last 4 times I've seen him but he still remains such a genuine guy! Never disappoints! If he hadn't been sold out the next night I would have gone again!!

  • excellent, great entertainer, amazing

When an artist can get more than 5 standing ovations, what does that tell you. He is so down to earth, sincere and just a nice person.

  • Johnny Reid was amazing.

by Bussermom on 2010-09-30Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen Jonny 6 times this year already and every time I think he gets better. I have not had a meet and greet with him yet but I keep hoping. He is funny and charismatic. I have recomended his show to friends and they have also been blown away by his performance. I am of Scotish decent so I actually got the the joke about the "Folk" singer. There were a lot of puzzled looks around us evn though people did laugh. I would definetly tell everyone how good his show is.

  • Our wonderful, fantastic, Johnny Reid

by 1bee1 on 2010-09-30Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

This was a top notch concert. I knew I was going to enjoy him and his band but it was even better than my expectations. Not only is Johnny an outstanding performer, but his band is fantastic. Johnny engages with the public like no other performer I have ever seen. You feel like you have come to know him and he truly gives the evening his all. I wish I could have gone to another evening even with the same performance. The crowd in Calgary loved him and you could tell that he felt that. I am so proud he is a Canadian!!

  • Johnny Reid is AMAZING!!!!!!

by izzebee on 2010-09-30Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Johnny Reid is the consumate entertainer. He is genuine in his performance and unforgetable! I am prepared to go see him everytime he is close to where I live. We are so lucky to call him a fellow Canadian! His songs are so well written and he performs them to perfection. Why he isn't a HUGE sensation around the world is beyond me! If people haven't seen him in concert yet they are truly missing an unbelievable performer. He is pigeon holed into Country but really and truly, his music is all genre's. He does everything so well. GO SEE HIM!!!!
