Johnny Reid is one of the most amazing entertainers. I love that he likes to interact with the audience . His stories he told were funny or sad and it was wonderful that he shared things about himself with the audience. His voice is totally indescribible. It always gives me goosebumps listening to him sing!!!!!

Johnny Reid was fabulous! He is funny, told stories about his life and how some of the songs came to be. Great stage set and the musicians, complete with horns and a violinist made this one of the best concerts I have been to. I can't wait until he comes back to Calgary. How about during the Stampede?

This was one of the best shows I have seen. A very humble man, who loves to sing and perform. I love his music, and I hope he keeps singing the same kind of music he has been singing and not go off onto something else. I would go to see his show again.

  • Johnny Reid-fabulous entertainer

by duke17 on 2010-10-01Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

Have wanted to see his show for a long time, was great! I hope we never loose him to Vegas as this show was comparable to what one would see there. He is a wonderful entertainer, appreciates his audience and shows it , Lucky us ! Get out and see it if you can. The Stellas were a good warm up, another great Canadian duo--- Their simulated drum beat was a bit overwhelming at times.

  • Johnny Reid was amazing!!

by JustMeAgain on 2010-10-01Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

It was a fantastic show! It was a very warm and uplifting concert and there was a lot of love in the air. Johnny pulls you in and makes you feel like a friend with whom he is sharing some of his private life with. The relationship of the band members appeared to be genuinely friendly, fun loving, and positive. It was a fantastic show and I would go see him perform again at the same type of venue without question!

  • deafening concert

by computer on 2010-10-01Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 2 out of 5

We found the concert "extremely" loud. We were seated on the second balcony and actually felt vibrations in our chest. Maybe the Jubilee is too small for his concert? The band was louder than Johnny Reid on many songs. With all that background music accompanying him he didnt sound at all like his CD's. Enjoyed his singing when he was accompanied by 2-3 guys seated on the stage.

This was the first time I was able to get to a Johnny Reid concert and will be first in line for his next. He is an excellent performer and would highly recommend seeing him to anyone who asked. Just wish our seats had been better. We were in the last row in the first balcony...too far away!!!

  • Johnny Reid keeps getting better and better.

His songs, the stories behind them, he is just a incredible performer.

  • Johnny Reid was totally awesome

by straitnut on 2010-10-01Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

This is the first time I have seen Johnny Reid in concert and all I can say he was absolutely awesome. From his first song to the last he was totally on. He had the audience right where he wanted them. I loved his sense of humour and the stories he told as well. The way he mingled and interacted with the crowd was great as well..For me it was money well spent.

One of the best concerts I have ever been to. He is so sincere and genuine and humble. Loved the band and the beautiful female singers (wish we could have heard them do a little piece by themselves) I liked the respect that the fans showed when JR went through the crowd....risky move. Stage setting was amazing.

The best concert I have ever been to. The acoustics were great. The show was great. Johnny Reid was very personable. It was like visiting some one in your living room.

  • A Place Called Love

by ohenry2 on 2010-10-01Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Johnny Reid's concert was entitled "A Place Called Love". That evening I witnessed a spontaneous outpouring of such love. After singing his heartfelt song, "Tell Me Margaret", dedicated to his departed grandmother, with the line "Who am I going to call on Sunday?", the audience promptly rose to its feet giving Johnny a standing ovation!

I love JR and this is my 3rd time seeing him. He puts on a great show and his energy is infectious! I like that he writes his own songs and makes the crowd feel very personal.

The absolute best concert I have been too. The back up back "The Stellas" had incredible vocal range, harmony and wonderful repoire between the two of them. Johnny and his team were fantastic!!! Great music, the Soul Sistas were spectacular, big band sound was amazing!!! Johnny himself was so amazing, words can't describe how much I enjoyed myself. His gratitude, pure enjoyment of being on stage and performing, his life stories made it a night to remember!

  • Johnny Reid entertains!

by CalgaryKUFan1 on 2010-10-01Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

Johnny Reid put on an incredibly entertaining show in Calgary! He has such a great rapport with the audience. Waited 9.5 months since getting a ticket for this show, and it was not disappointing! The music was a bit loud at times, drowning out his singing, but he does have an awesome band. Love his music, singing and him!

  • Johnny is a class act!

by MBfanforever on 2010-10-01Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

this was my first Johnny Reid concert and I must say I am a tartan army member for life! What an amazing performer..he's genuine, sings from the heart and soul and has loads of fun up there with his band/friends! The stage set up was very elegant. I enjoyed every single second :) Can't wait til he comes back around! I also love how much he talks to the audience by sharing stories and jokes! I absolutely loved him. He's one of the best.

  • Johnny was awesome!!

by Scottish on 2010-10-01Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

The concert was wonderful! Johnny is a very good storyteller and a great singer. Only complaint is that the musicians were a tad too loud making it hard to sometimes hear Johnny singing My husband who is not a country music fan has come to every Johnny Reid concert with me, really enjoys his music. My daughters (aged 14 & 11) saw him for the first time and were awestruck. Really exciting when he ran up to the first balcony (where we were sitting). Just a wonderful concert. Cant wait until he returns.

The Jube was sold out. Johnny Reid's show was excellent. He projected class and professionalism, his sound was awesome. Him and his band (10 people behind him plus two bag pipe players played twice)....were dressed up. The show was upbeat and fun. When he wasn't singing a great song he was telling great stories. He really gives the impression that he is caring and sincere..and the fact that he writes his own stuff makes you wonder if there is a man out there that really thinks that way. Excellent excellent show!!
