Jon La Joie is a really funny guy. I just don't think he is a great stand up comedian. He is the best character in the show "the League" and he does come up with pretty funny material. However I saw him perform here two years ago and a lot of the material was the same. For that reason I wouldn't recommend this show.

Jon LaJoie: Even better in person

by Anonymous on 2011-11-28Myer Horowitz Theatre - Edmonton

Jon LaJoie put on a fantastic 2 hours of standup/songs. He played a number of his songs, as expected, and also did lots of hilarious standup. Well prepared and hilarious, he proved to me that he doesn't just make funny youtube videos, he's the real deal. Great value for the money.

For someone who started by making Youtube videos and who is also new to standup the show was very good.

Jon Lajoie was amazing! Definitely even more than I expected. Unbelievable performance and I even got to meet him, take a pic with him and get his autograph! Would definitely go see him again.

In total, the set was about 75 minutes of straight laughter. The show was made up of a good mix of bits from Jon's internet videos and new standup. We even got a full look at his WTF Collective 3 video due out soon and an acoustic version of WTF Collective 1. If you like Jon Lajoie, it's hard to not recommend this.

    Jon Lajoie is Hilarious!

by Didi33 on 2011-11-22The Garrick Centre - Winnipeg

Jon is so funny! Seeing him interact with the audience (who can sometimes be annoying) was quite hysterical. My jaw hurt from laughing and smiling so much in a short amount of time. I would highly recommend seeing Jon Lajoie (if you're ok with his kind of humour... which includes pedophilia, rape, and necrophilia... believe me, he makes it funny!)

    Jon Lajoie rocks!

by MetallicaDan on 2011-11-16Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Toronto

Jon Lajoie, best known for his comedy videos on YouTube and playing "Taco" on the TV show The League on FX (watch it, it's great!) is quite simply hilarious! It was a great show, definitely worth seeing live. He did a mix of singing a few songs, told a few stories and screened a few new comedy skits on a big screen. All in all, a very good evening and well worth the price of admission. Opener comedian Mark Forward was also super funny! Check him out too.

The stand-up isn't nearly as accessable as his music and Youtube videos, just as a forewarning. The opening stand-up was funny, and he had an awesome delivery. Jon was still worth seeing because I'm a long-time fan of his, and he was awesome to talk to after the show. Very appreciative of his fans.

    Pretty Awesome

by pinkusagi on 2011-11-15Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Toronto

Jon Lajoie delivers more than he ever has from his live performance. Being a follower on YouTube I have always enjoyed his outrageous videos where he never seems to hold anything back nor spare any stereo type. His live show was extremely entertaining where he spared you no time to rest from each out burst of gut renching laughter. A definate must see for any Jon Lajoie fan, and if you haven't watched any of his videos I reccommend you do before seeing the show. And just a quick suggestion, the show runs about one and a half hours long with no intermission. I went to the restroom prior to it beginning but I'm sure others could've used a break midway through without missing parts of the show. Add another half hour and put in an intermission in the future. Thanks!

Exceptional live performance and becoming a master of his craft. He kept us laughing for the whole show. We'd buy his tickets again when he's in town... his dancing is HOT!

Lajoie was exactly what we hoped for

by mchammer on 2011-11-15The Studio at Hamilton Place - Hamilton

I enjoyed the Studio atmosphere, had balcony seating, roomy and could see everything, first visit to that venue....the show was a good length, some new stuff some old and some popular. Opening act was good , set the tone. I was there with my teenage boys and they had a blast, I especially like the fact that Jon made himself available for autographs and photos after the show. Great job....good luck to Jon Lajoie and his career...funny guy! and very talented

Typical Lajoie. If you like his internet stuff, you'll enjoy the show. He breaks out some original material that is decent. He was even nice enough to stick around after the show to take pictures and sign autographs if you were willing to wait around.
