Absolutely fantastic! Jonny Lang is a true talent!

Mavis was incredible as usual. A true entertainer. Johnny Lang has morphed into rock and roll and is leaving the blues behind. It was a big mistake pairing them on the same bill. So many left after one or two of his songs. We didn't stay either.

I went for Mavis Staples and she was outstanding making it nearly impossible for anyone to follow her.

Jonny Lang has not lost his voice or guitar playing skills and Ms. Staples was amazing.

The Burt is the right venue for this blues show. Old and gritty enough. Not too big and not too small. Intimate. Music was amazing! Love the sound of them Fenders and Gibsons.

What an amazing show! Mavis Staples still has the voice and Jonny Lang rocked the house! Highly recommend!!

Johnny Lang is a natural born musician. He oozes emotion and passion that truly shows his love of music and performing. His guitar playing is beautiful, almost magical and with effortless precision. His voice is strong, deep, high, raspy.......beautiful. He gives his all and has a warm and natural persona and smile. I felt his emotion in every song. He and his band members came across as having a strong bond, and he continually shared the limelight with all of them. They graciously came back for a standing ovation and gave the audience their all as they did throughout their entire performance, and then some. One of, if not the best performance I have experienced.

Mavis opened the show and had the crowd clapping along in no time. Mavis, from Chicago, provided Edmonton with the sounds of authentic Blues with a soulful gospel spin on every song. Jonny Lang.... what more can be said... this young man has taken over where Stevie Ray Vaughan left us.... Jonny is a virtuoso! Making his guitar scream like angels and with his harmonic voice matching every note that was played on guitar. I’ll go watch Jonny Lang anytime, anywhere!

Jonny Lang provides a true musical experience in his concerts. If you want to hear songs exactly like the CD, stay home and listen to the CD. Jonny expands, changes, weaves in different elements and thoroughly entertains. Lie to Me blew me away. Few artists would have the nerve to take one of their big hits and completely change the delivery. Starting out acoustically and only bringing the band back near the end was amazing. Only those who appreciate true artistry would get this. With Jonny the emotion is there and unforgettable. Just a fabulous evening all round.

Concert was great. Guitar playing was awesome. Would have liked a bit more variety in the songs and more crowd interaction.

enjoyed Mavis Staples, one of those Iconic singers that was on my bucket list to see, Not that impressed with Johnny Lang, only about three songs I enjoyed, but the overall crowd seemed to enjoy his performance,

Mavis Staples was an unexpected pleasure. Her opening act was a delight.

My only complaint was that Mavis Staples’ set was too short, she did no curtain call and her and Johnny Lang did not do a song together.

My partner and I quite enjoyed Mavis Staple, big beautiful voice. We were a bit surprised at how politically vociferous she was. Jonny Lang...The band was waaay to loud for the venue, there isn't a bad seat in the house and the acoustics are wonderful. This band thought it was playing in a stadium, louder doesn't make it better. I know that Jonny Lang has a wonderful voice and we couldn't hear it. Bright lights shone out on the audience much of the time making the stage uncomfortable to look at. I spent much of it with my eyes closed to the glare.

So talented and humble. Not many artists give their final bow and stay on stage to shake hands of his fans. You never see this ! He gave an incredible show and I would love to see him again!

Jonny rocked it out of the park. Love his style. Mavis Staples was superb. What a wonderful combo.
