Josh Groban: Straight to You Tour

by ezzard on 2011-07-20Air Canada Centre - Toronto

A strong performance with back-up band/orchestra. Josh engaged the audience in his own unique way. He did many of his newer songs and demonstrated his expertise in music and song.

Josh never disappoints. His voice gave me chills as always. He has a great sense of humour and gets the audience involved. We had amazing floor seats and the second stage was very close to us.

    beautiful voice

by mom58 on 2011-07-20Air Canada Centre - Toronto

Enjoyed the concert. Bit of an echo in the arena. He was much more animated this time than the last time I saw him 4 years ago. Thoroughly enjoyed him and his orchestra. What a beautiful voice!

    Josh Groban Amazing!!!

by wendersxyz on 2011-07-18The Palace of Auburn Hills - Auburn Hills

From start to finish this was one of the best concerts I have ever attended. The opening act ELEW was impressive. Josh's voice was top notch and it was wonderful to see how he interacted with the crowd throughout the night. I've never heard another performer sing live and sound better than on a recording. I highly recommend you attend a Josh Groban show. You won't be disappointed.

    Most Disappointed!

by Vaughn on 2011-05-26The Sprint Center - Kansas City, MO

We love Gosh, but his concert was horrible! The warm up guy, who pounded the piano to the point of making Jerry Lee Lewis look like school boy was terrible! The banging was so loud you couldn't hear, and he made up stuff as he pounded around. It sounded to me like this bad piano man was trying to be a George Winston, but failing miserably, I swear he bad. Then when he finally wore himself out, thank goodness, and left the stage, there was 30 more minutes of useless waiting. Why? Poor organization! The tickets said the concert was to begin at 7:30, and finally Gosh emerged at 8:40. But as Gosh came out my spirits were a bit lifted but my enthusiasm was already greatly grieved at what I had observed so far. More disappoint when I realized there was to be no big screens? He finally sang two songs I had heard, but I knew what was in store when I saw of the above monitor "Text Gosh your questions". He spent about 20 minutes answering stupid questions, and I didn't pay $78 to witness this nonsense. Then 15 minutes introducing his orchestra. All and all, I was extremely disappointed. I came to the conclusion the best way to enjoy Gosh is to pop a good bottle of vino, and sit back at home and drink in his amazing sounds in the quietness of my home.

An Amazing Evening, with Josh Groban!

by SueW on 2011-02-10Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Toronto

I've seen Josh perform at the Toronto's ADDC and Calgary's Saddledome for the AWAKE Tour. Both of those performances were awesome. You cannot compare those with the intimate setting which only held 1300 fans. His song selection's were random but we had the opportunity to hear some songs we haven't heard while he toured. He also showcased his new songs from the "Illuminations" CD. This was a casual and fun opportunity and I'm grateful that I was amongst those who were able to see him perform. Kudo's to you Josh you were amazing. He allowed a fan to join him on stage. Gave the song choice to the fan. The fan (Chris) chose "You Raise Me Up". Tough song but he nailed it! Chris, it's too bad we don't know more about you, you were amazing. A pleasant surprise for all those in attendence.

    Up close with Josh

by shelz on 2011-02-03Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Toronto

Wow, what an incredible night! Having only ever seen Josh before at sold out ACC shows, we really didn't know what to expect (and having never been to or heard of this venue before only made us wonder more what we were to expect). Needless to say, it was spectacular! Josh, 2 accompanying artists with 2 pianos, an acoustic guitar and only 1200 seats made for an incredibly intimate show. He was casual, relaxed, engaging with the audience - often turning up the house lights so he could do Q&A, brought fans up on stage to watch some of the show, and allowed a fan to sing with him. His humour is always appreciated and of course, vocally he was flawless. Not a bad seat in the house only added to the overall perfection of this show.

    Josh Groban was disappointing!!!

by Jengy on 2011-01-17Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Toronto

Unfortunately I had no idea this was going to be an interactive night with the audience... had I known, I wouldn't have gone. Josh's singing was amazing however, the format of the evening was: sing a song and then chat/cabitz with audience for 5 or so minutes then, sing another song. I have no interest in what members of the audience have to say and let me tell ya, they had lots to say, not to mention taking up at least 10 minutes with gift delivery for Josh.... weird! Personally, when I go to see music artists live, I'm going to hear them sing, not talk and tell jokes... like I said, had I known that was the format for the night, I wouldn't have bought tickets. I wish it had been advertised as such! The worst part was even though his singing was absolutely beautiful you could never really get into the flow of it because right after the song ended it was back to chatting with the audience. For me the night was a thumbs down :(

    Josh was amazing!

by ElvinaGB on 2011-01-15Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Toronto

What a great show. I've been lucky enough to see Josh twice in big arena shows, so the opportunity to hear his amazing voice in such a small setting was too good to pass up. The venue, The Queen Elizabeth Theatre on the CNE grounds, was good. Josh was in good form, his voice sounded sublime, as always, and with Mark and Turiq accompanying him it was great to hear so many old songs along with the new. Josh's quirky sense of humour shone through, even with some of the off beat and questionable requests from the audience. He handled them all well.

    An Evening with Josh Groban

by Gayla on 2011-01-15Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Toronto

A totally wonderful evening! I was surprised how well the acoutics was for this unknown venue! An intimate evening full of sincere conversations, laughter and fan interactions from Josh himself. Not just another 'show' that you quickly forget; but rather one you will always remember! There's no doubt everyone felt a closeness to Josh; his words and understanding for his music. A true, caring person with a great sense of humor! Can't wait to see him again!

Josh Groban's concert at the Queen Elizabeth building was amazing! It was so great to be so close to him and have him talking and interacting with the audience. He should definitely do more concerts like this one! I can't wait to go to his next concert. What an amazing voice and nice personality!
