    Katy in concert is amazing!!!

by Coastalmom on 2018-02-09Rogers Arena - Vancouver

This was our second time seeing Katy in concert and it was just as amazing as the first time. I loved hearing some of her older album songs that weren’t played in her last concert. Her dancing, stage sets, costumes and choreography were fantastic. I’m sure we will be at the next one too.

    Unbelievable concert

by Sassssy on 2018-02-09Rogers Arena - Vancouver

One of the best concert I've been to. Katy sang a lot of her old big hits. The props and the energy was so awesome.

Show was great but view blocked

by Steelman on 2018-02-09Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Great show - both Carly Rae and Katy were high energy. Great Stage show with dancers and props. Only complaint was that they were video taping the Show for Katy and they had a large mobile telescoping crane with camera on it which kept blocking the view on our Side only ...of both the Stage and the center catwalk. I think there should have been a comment on these seats about the view being blocked, I could have chosen seats on the other side of the arena for the same price.

    Amazing show, but late start!

by AuntieDonuts on 2018-02-09Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Katy always puts on a great show. Lots of great music and fun with great visuals. However, I have to say I was a little disappointed that the show started so late. Opening act started 45 minutes late and it took Katy almost an hour after that to take the stage. As a result, we had to miss the final 2 songs (Roar & Firework). Not sure why there was such a delay, but I've never been to a show where the opening act took so long to take the stage. Just would appreciate it if artists took consideration of other people's time as well. It was the last show...not like they hadn't done this before! Otherwise yet another great Katy Perry show.

Horrible Experience with view blocked by camera

by EvanPow on 2018-02-09Rogers Arena - Vancouver

I bought Katy Perry tickets for my wife for Christmas as she is a huge fan and always wanted to see her. I bought the best tickets available and thought we were going to get great seats as we were closer to the stage than 75% of the building. Unfortunately there was a camera on a crane that blocked our view for the entire concert. It was a miserable experience with no opportunity for any good photos. Every time Katy came down stage closer to us the camera would be directly in between and obstructing our view of Katy. We came back from Brazil early and missed Carnival to come to this concert because it was so important. We are regretting this decision now.

    Great Show

by Anonymous on 2018-02-09Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Carly Rae was great Katy was great & it was a very imaginative & interactive show that I enjoyed very much My only complaint is that my ticket said the show was at 7pm, Carly Rae didn't even get on stage until about 7:45 & Katy wasn't on stage until just after 9pm, while I don't expect the show to start right at 7, & this isn't a unique thing to Katy, but it would be nice if it started wihin a half hour at most of the time printed on the tickets

    Katy was phenomenal

by Cmickey on 2018-02-09Rogers Arena - Vancouver

The concert as a whole was well worth the wait. So happy we moved down to seats that were not in use. There was too much pause during the two times she brought people on stage. Added a half hour at least to the show which makes the show run too late.

    Katy Perry Late

by LadnerMOM on 2018-02-09Rogers Arena - Vancouver

This concert was not very good. Her stage show is great and the entertainment value was awesome, however she was over an hr and half late staring and her mic was off. Her opening act was ok, but again the sound was off. I would not recommend taking kids to her concert as she obviously has NO RESPECT for time and her fans that pay to see her. My kids ended up not getting home until after 12:30 am and had to miss school the following day, all because she was late.

    Annoying camera

by Edrik on 2018-02-09Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Me and my three friends had good seats and we didn’t enjoy the show at all, there was a camera on our side recording the entire show and I saw about 20% of the show and only and sometimes because the big screen in the back. Very disappointed.

Got tickets in the high 300’s but the two 9 year old I took and I could see pretty well and what we saw was Katy Perry putting on a super duper show that had them up dancing all night long. Memories were made that they will cherish forever!

    Katy Perry is a star!

    by znz212 on 2018-02-09Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Having seen Katy Perry on each tour through Vancouver, I have had the pleasure of seeing her grow from the smaller production at Commodore Ballroom in 2009 into the massive spectacle that is the Witness World Tour. This was her most ambitious production yet with an enormous video screen that spanned the width of the floor - certainly impressive. Katy was on point as she always is. She sings live and she sounds great even with cardio workout she puts on through her entire set. She sang the majority of her countless hits in a nearly 2 1/2 hour production, and sprinkled in some cute moments of audience interaction. The audio mix was probably the best I have experienced at Rogers Arena. I'm not sure if this is due to the fact that the show was being filmed for an upcoming video release, or just because Katy is confident in the power of her voice and doesn't need to hide behind overpowered guitars which is the norm at 100+ arena shows I've attended. I will not hesitate to see Katy Perry again each time she tours nearby, and wholeheartedly recommend seeing her to anyone. Carly Rae Jepsen opened up the show and was fantastic. Her voice was also a stand-out, and she left me wishing she got a longer set, especially considering the over 45 minute changeover before Katy came on. While I've been a casual fan of Carly's through enjoying her songs on the radio, having heard her perform I'll be looking out for future headlining tours.

    Witness this tour - spectacular

    by jmcheung3480 on 2018-02-08Rogers Arena - Vancouver

This tour was the 4th and 5th time I've seen Katy and even though her latest album isn't as strong as her previous, lady has the sparks to light up a room. Even her weakest songs are brighten up in person when performed live. It was extra special that both shows were filmed for release, it will be the best souvenir a fan can have for a show they attended. Having Carly Rae Jepsen opening didn't hurt either, two of my favourite artists joining forces to give a spectacular show.

    Oh dear god she talks

by Katbaker on 2018-02-08Rogers Arena - Vancouver

The concept started well. Closet to the middle Katy Perry decided to engage audience by calling a kid on stage. She picked someone from way back and it took about five minutes for that person to realize they were picked and walk all the way down. Then she got on stage. And Katy was talking and talking. The energy of the audience went down quite much quite fast. People just didn’t care. She took over 10 min doing that. Very bad awareness of audience and time on stage. Then she started with the concert. But you could see people were sitting down and not singing along anymore. Theme energy picked up a bit. And Katy goes and calls another person on the stage. We wanted to leave. She wasted another 15 min on that. We felt robbed of our time. We came to listen to music and expected to be energized like by any other good concert. It was weird and took way too long. By the end people were tired and wanted to leave. Katy herself made a comment in the middle of the concert: “how you doing? Don’t you dare to leave before the end”. One would think she is aware that people get tired and bored of what she is doing yet she doesn’t change her approach. Concert need to pick energy up and end when it on top before it starts going down. Leave people wanting more, leave them excited, leave them high and amazed of what they’ve seen. Don’t leave them thinking: “hush, that was loooong”

    Entertained

by NorthShreGrl on 2018-02-08Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Most songs are performef with a shorter or different version from its original version. Not necessarily a better version. But performance- wise in terms of dancing & audience engagement, Katy's top notch. If you arrive early you might even get a signed CD or other freebies. Average crowd are tweeners & their parents.
