the acoustics weren't great, but Katy Perry was so personable with the crowd, that's what really mattered. wish the tv's were bigger for the fans that were in top plaza level.

About
Katy Perry is a globally renowned pop artist and 13-time Grammy nominee. She began her music career as a gospel singer before making her pop debut in 2008 with One of the Boys. The album peaked in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 and spawned Perry’s first No. 1 hit with the Grammy-nominated "I Kissed a Girl." Perry quickly skyrocketed to pop icon status, achieving unprecedented success with her 2010 album Teenage Dream, which hit No. 1 and earned a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year. The album also produced five consecutive No. 1 singles with “California Gurls” (featuring Snoop Dogg), “Teenage Dream,” “Firework,” “E.T.” (featuring Kanye West) and “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.).” In 2017, Perry made history by becoming the first artist to earn three RIAA Diamond Song Awards for “Firework,” “Dark Horse” and “Roar.” Perry now has seven diamond-certified titles. Her distinctive style, blending provocative lyrics with catchy pop melodies, has made her one of the best-selling music artists in history, with over 70 million albums sold worldwide. Beyond music, Perry has expanded her career into television, serving as a judge on “American Idol,” released her own fragrance with Killer Queen and was the subject of the 2012 documentary Katy Perry: Part of Me. In 2024, Perry released her seventh studio album, 143, which features the lead single “WOMAN’S WORLD."

Katy Perry
by Val99 on 2014-09-15Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 2 out of 5Too bad she stole her show from various other artists...nothing was original. She's not a true performer, was expecting more. Lady Gaga - horse, floating around above the crowd - Miley, Acrobats - Cher and I could go on. Costumes were pretty basic. Too many slow songs that brought the crown down
Katy Perry

Wow
by Wiglet on 2014-09-15Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5Katy Perry is a master entertainer and I doubt you will see another concert like hers. It wasn't that her prismatic light show was out of this world, that the stage came out into the stadium half way down so so many more people got to see her up close, it wasn't that her dancers were incredible, her back stage KatyCat videos were completely unique or that the costumes were colourful and neon, that her music is so relatable and that her voice is to die for. No you could say that about a lot of concerts you go to which are all wonderful in their own way. Katy Perry's concert sizzled every sensor in your body from the moment she got on stage and you have to see it to believe it. It was absolutely marvellous and I would go again in a nano second. Well done Katy, we love you.
Katy Kat Forever
by Katesville on 2014-09-15Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5recently had the unforgettable honor of experiencing Katy live and in person. What an extreme show she puts on - I almost felt like I was at Cirque Du Solei with the added benefit of the best music on earth. Katy made everyone feel so individually connected with her when she spent several minutes chatting with the audience between songs. Her lightshow - props and band/back up singers were extraordinary. Awesome - simply awesome!! At 50+ I'm proud to call myself a Katy Kat.
Katy Perry was Amazing

Visually Stunning Event. Great for young and old.
by yappypanda5 on 2014-09-15Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5I went with my wife and my 9 year old daughter.to the Vancouver concert. The audience I would say was a good mix of pre-teens/ teens with parents, and a minority of adults. I am familiar with her music and was expecting an average teen sensation concert with Katy Perry singing her favorite songs with dancers prancing and dancing around behind her. Boy was I wrong , I have been to lots of concerts in the past, from all different genres, rock , alternative, hip-hop, and pop. and I have to admit she put on the best show I have ever seen. The background triangle screen was huge and showed lots of pictures/videos that went well with each song. The ground stage also extended out in a triangular shape well into the center of concert floor. She utilized this space I would say about 40% of the time and for all her ballads. This made her singing much more intimate with the audience. The costume changes were numerous with each songs. All the songs involved some sort of exciting visual effects that totally wowed me! Some examples were glow in the dark skipping ropes, balloon swings, to magical glass effects. Katy Perry put a lot of thought and money into the visual effects and it really shows. Her songs sounded great, especially her ballads where you could tell she puts a lot of emotion to connect with her audience. I especially liked how she changed up some of her songs to liven up the act eg. Hot and Cold into a jazzy number. She put in a solid 2 1/4 hour act , where first 1/3 is high energy, then second 1/3 was a more intimate close up concert, then the final 1/3 ended with so much energy that it left us breathless from all the dancing and singing along. Overall it was a fantastic concert and my wife and I still talk about it. We have been raving about it to all our friends to see it in other cities. I am so glad this was my daughter's first concert and she will always have fond memories about it.

great show, would go again. good seats; looking forward to her next convert.
Ho hum
by Girlwonder on 2014-09-14Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5Lip synching, no ability to relate to the audience and somewhat corny. Costumes were fun and dancers were good, but this was not as good as the movie. Do not tell me 7 pm start time and have Katy come on at 925. I will take a pass next time.

by Charmed1 on 2014-09-14Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5Katy Perry show was awesome from start to finish. Her music is so much fun, energizing, and inspiring. I brought my niece for her birthday and we had the most amazing time. We did the covergirl photograph, then bought our t-shirts and back to our seats so we could enjoy the show. We didn't sit once :)

Katy did not disappoint! She danced and sang with enthusiasm for over 2 hours. She started approx. 30 minutes after the opening act ended and that is reasonable. Her production, set and wardrobe were spectacular!
First Time Seeing Katy Perry
by maskto on 2014-09-14Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5Was a little disappointed that we bought these tickets 8 months before the concert and spent a lot of money,$500.00 Each,, when my girlfriend bought her ticket 2 weeks before the concert and was just as close as us and hers were $110.00!!!!!!Also the pre party really wasn't what they made it sound like, and with only having about 50 people there it would have been nice if Katy Perry could have come by!!! We also found that we spent a lot of time on the other end of the stage!!! Which was also disappointing. On a positive note we did not have to wait in any line ups and the food was pretty good, but they charge way too much money for the bottle of wine!!!!!!!
Katy Perry Prismatic Tour was amazing!
by Anonymous on 2014-09-14Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5Awesome!! Such an amazing concert! Tegan and Sara were great too! It was like a light show so many lights and colors and she sang for just over two hours:) Her California Dreams Tour was great too, but this was a step up for sure. Played the songs you wanted to hear, great outfits and stage decor. Would see it again any day. She was suspended from the ceiling more than once which was pretty cool and her stage set was different, entertaining for sure.
Awesome - must see!
by Ravsim on 2014-09-14Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5This was the best concert ever. I took my 7 year old niece who is A HUGE Katy Perry fan. I liked all of her songs but was not a fan. Now I am huge fan as well and would go back and see her.
katy Perry
by Puckrin on 2014-09-14Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5I was very disappointed by the long wait and unengaging first act. The extensive stage changes and the 45 min after the 2nd act and Katy coming out at 9:35pm. It was my daughters first concert and she is 8. There were thousands of kids the same age. To start the show so late the kids were tired of waiting and the time before it started. It was a Wed and I thought it would have started closer to the 7pm start on the ticket. Katy was engaging, the dancers fun, colours and stage impressive.
KATEY PERRY ROCKS
by dannibeth on 2014-09-14Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5i HAVE BEEN TO MANY MANY CONCERTS AND THIS WAS BY FAR ONE OF THE BEST!! 200 PERCENT SHE GIVES AND THEN GIVES SOME MORE!!! WOW!!!
Non stop entertainment!
by callicocat on 2014-09-14Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5Right from the opening Katy and her masterful crew carried out likely the most entertaining concert I have ever attended. She seemed so personal to the crowd and for 2 very lucky young girls she brought on stage, a memory to last a lifetime. Even though she is such a STAR she certainly knew how to appeal to the crowd on a beautiful level. I was really impressed with the sound system as I could actually understand each word she sung, nothing was lost in translation. My applause to all involved as it truly was a magical moment being there. Thanks Katy!
