About

Katy Perry is a globally renowned pop artist and 13-time Grammy nominee. She began her music career as a gospel singer before making her pop debut in 2008 with One of the Boys. The album peaked in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 and spawned Perry’s first No. 1 hit with the Grammy-nominated "I Kissed a Girl." Perry quickly skyrocketed to pop icon status, achieving unprecedented success with her 2010 album Teenage Dream, which hit No. 1 and earned a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year. The album also produced five consecutive No. 1 singles with “California Gurls” (featuring Snoop Dogg), “Teenage Dream,” “Firework,” “E.T.” (featuring Kanye West) and “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.).” In 2017, Perry made history by becoming the first artist to earn three RIAA Diamond Song Awards for “Firework,” “Dark Horse” and “Roar.” Perry now has seven diamond-certified titles. Her distinctive style, blending provocative lyrics with catchy pop melodies, has made her one of the best-selling music artists in history, with over 70 million albums sold worldwide. Beyond music, Perry has expanded her career into television, serving as a judge on “American Idol,” released her own fragrance with Killer Queen and was the subject of the 2012 documentary Katy Perry: Part of Me. In 2024, Perry released her seventh studio album, 143, which features the lead single “WOMAN’S WORLD."

  • Katy Perry concert

    by Haha123 on 2014-09-13Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Would go again, definitely. Wonderful visuals, amazing dancers, and Katy Perry herself interacts with the crowd really well. Very kick @$$. Only complaint was that there weren't enough "prism 3D" glasses. Felt left out momentarily, but I then I realized it wasn't as big of a loss, since the show doesn't heavily rely on it. One warning: t-shirts start at $40, and popular ones (at my show) sold out at my level of the arena. A cool thing to mention: a lot of the fans, regardless of age, showed up in wigs, kitty ear headband and (some) wore all-out costumes. Quite a few kids (30% ?) but also a good balance of 20 somethings and even a few 40 something's who weren't parents, but there to enjoy the show. A real girls night out in general and you can always buy alcohol. My seats were fine, but because the show was amazing, would be ok with paying more money for a better seat next time she toured.

  • Katy Perry was so much fun!! Loved prism vision.

The lights and the colors, costumes it was all amazing. This concert is a must see for all ages. I liked how she used the whole stage, didn't matter where you sat you got a great show.

  • Katy Perry - worth it

by zvpayne on 2014-09-13Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I took my daughter to Katy Perry and she put on an awesome show - I would do it again in a heartbeat. Katy is young and able to perform however, she needs to work on her public speaking. She can handle a crowd but she needs to watch what she says and how she says it. Maybe a little more involvement from the crowd, says ' How are you tonight Vancouver? I can't hear you...gets the crowd going. This would make her concert one of the best ones if you can get the crowd going. But she has amazing ideas and she made my little girl so happy ! I would take all my kids next time and I have 3.

This was the first Katy Perry concert for my daughter and I. We were not disappointed. Every minute was filled with top notch entertainment from the costumes, the sets, the dancers and of course our favorite Katy Perry songs:-) Worth every penny. We will definitely see her when she comes back to town.

  • One of the best nights of my life

by JoelleGagne on 2014-09-13Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

After seeing the Katy Perry movie, I knew I had to see her live. I was not dead appointed at all, the vibe of Rogers arena was unlike no other, we were dancing and singing for a solid two hours and I could care less that my feet were killing me ! She was amazing it was a night I'll never forget.

  • Don't understand why two and half hour wait!

by Tsawwsssenmum on 2014-09-13Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

We bought tickets on the first day of selling! Sooo excited to see Katy Perry finally after summer. The major downfall was two and half hour wait! We got there 7:15pm and were running down from skytrain station! Well, not starting yet! Not even 8:15, not even 9:15pm. Kids started to get tired - it was a school day for them! 9:25pm - the show finally started! My 8 years old son has fell asleep in his seat. It was a great show, would be even greater if we didn't waited that long. And the worst thing was there was no explain from Katy Perry why did she keep us waiting for so long!

Loved loved loved it, explains it all. I took my granddaughter, who's ten. The concert was for both her and I. Katy Perry was flawless. Would see her again in a heartbeat. The only mishap was my granddaughter slamming her thumb in the door just before we got there!!

  • Amazing Concert

by tweetiebird on 2014-09-13Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Loved the Katy Perry Prismatic Concert. Tegan and Sarah opened up the show and they were fantastic. Katy Perry's concert was the best i've ever seen. The light show, dancing, special effects all of it was incredible. So much going on that I would love to go again. She is truly and amazing performer/entertainer as well as an amazing singer.

  • Extremely long wait times in between opening acts

by diggergirl on 2014-09-13Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

Katy Perry was great. but the extremely long delays in between opening acts and her show was not good.. she did not come on stage till 930 when openings started at 7 that was the worst part

  • I was "Walking On Air"

    by jmcheung3480 on 2014-09-13Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I went both nights to see Katy and this is an overall review for both nights. I sat by the main stage the first night and right at the front right of the middle triangle the second night. This concert was everything you could imagine and more. It was spectacular and beautiful. However some of the best parts of the show were the quieter moments Katy was having with the crowd during the acoustic section. She knew a lot about the current events in BC and brought up fans to the stage twice on the first night (once for pizza and the next for "Birthday"). The second night we got a surprise duet with Ferras (Legends Never Die). My personal favourite moments were all on the second night because I got lots of eye contact, smiles and even a bit of a song sang to me by Katy...I was in a "Teenage Dream" ;) This concert was so good I think it ruined me for any future concerts. Other highlights were "Walking on air" (Where Katy walked across the audience in the pit - mid air), This is How we Do (with giant emoticons flying around the arena and a blow up car) and "Firework" (you cannot forget the Prism Vision glasses when watching this).

  • 3 Hours of Unforgetable Entertainment

by vicmom on 2014-09-13Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I took my 12 year old daughter to the show. Covergirl was handing out free lipgloss and nail polish which was our greeting into the show. Katy Perry is such an amazing entertainer. Running in sparkly high heels, hanging from lines suspended from the ceiling. Acrobats weaving in and out of a prism structure, colorful/detailed costumes, high energy dancers, larger than life props. Truly a feel good show. Katy Perry and her crew are fresh/ talented/energetic/dynamic performers. I will definitely see any future show that comes to Vancouver. Well worth the money. Only wish - that we could have bought a light up skipping rope and wig at the merchandise center!

  • Katy need to start earlier!

    by 73Blondie on 2014-09-13Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

My first comment would be that if a HUGE number of attendees are 14 and younger, why come on stage at 9:15pm and have not one, but two opening acts. So not necessary. While Tegan & Sara were very good, the first one (not memorable at all as I can't even remember who it was) was terrible...and was swearing - again, not appropriate for kids. We saw so many kids fast asleep before the show was over! The duration of show, two hours, was great (vs. a pretty standard 90 minutes). So far anyone going with kids, don't bother arriving until 8:00. The show was okay. Having seen several other concerts this year, this was one of my least favorite in terms of "entertainment". Honestly, it was kinda boring. Started out with so much energy and ended with a lot too, but a lot of "fluff" in the middle. Great voice, great song selection, but overall it left me wondering why I spent so much on tickets for this show.

  • Katy Perry is FABULOUS

    by pslave182 on 2014-09-12Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I have been to a lot of concerts, by far she is the best. Cirque De Soleil meets rock and roll, meets an amazing woman! My 11yr old's first concert, I don't how we can top that!

  • Katy Perry should be a Vegas Show!!

by mmtl on 2014-09-12Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

After seeing many, many concerts (Jonas Brothers/Bieber three times, Selena Gomez two times, Usher etc...this by far was the BEST costumes, props, music, show we have ever seen, hands down!!
