Kinky Boots had the perfect combination of song and dance with comedy! I haven't laughed at a broadway show like that in a long while! It was truly an entertaining show!
We had planned to see Kinky Boots on Broadway but we are happy to have seen this touring company, and a truly amazing performance by J. Harrison Ghee, and the whole cast for that matter.Kinky Boots is definitely the best musical I have seen. Chicago was my preferred one until December 28th
Very funny, awesome story line, amazing acting- great set
The performers had great energy but not all performers had great voices. The music was not memorable - couldn't hum you a single tune from the whole production. Great scene changes although not always smooth transitions.
Was good... Lola was amazing! Paid too much for tickets. Are seats were not where we thought they were going to be.

I enjoyed this play from beginning to end. It was a great story line with comedy and music all combined. The actors were phenomenal and the Boston Opera House is something everyone should see at least once.
The 2 leads are spectacular! Kyle Taylor Parker is magical to watch- literally lights up the stage! The whole company is vocally excellent with great acting chops! The staging is amazing. Watch as a small town shoe factory transforms into a London Drag Show Nightclub! The costumes are fantastic, but it's the message of the story that is magical. In the current political climate this is a great show about moving forward with dignity strength and compassion!
As a musical the story seems to come alive and easy to personally connect to in many level. Great music and singing. I loved how the story emphasized acceptance on multiple levels, what a great life lesson. Came out of the performance feeling good and having hope as our society changes.
Great show. Songs were catchy, actors were wonderful. If I saw if again, I would try to sit closer to the stage so that I could see the costumes and actors more clearly.
So very glad we were finally able to this fantastic musical without having to go to Broadway in New York. Broadway Detroit did not disappoint, the touring companies performance was wonderful!!!
