LARRY REEB IN CONCERT:

For more than three decades Chicago comedian Larry Reeb has had audiences rolling in the aisles with his wise-cracking alter ego, Uncle Lar. On stage Reeb dishes out "tips" on everything from married life and raising kids to dealing with social disasters, cracking fans up with his razor-sharp wit and lightning-fast delivery. And as die-hard fans know, each unique, twisted joke is capped by his signature catchphrase, "That's a tip from your Uncle Lar". Reeb's sharp and sarcastic humor guarantees fun-loving ticket buyers a night of hilarious live comedy that will leave them laughing all the way home.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Larry Reeb grew up in the farm town of Dwight, IL, 100 miles south of Chicago. He found his calling at age 15 after getting big laughs from his peers for his "stand-up" in high school speech class. At 19 he moved to Chicago and immersed himself in the city's budding comedy scene, performing nightly sets at the now-defunct club Comedy Womb. By the early '80s he had become an in-demand headliner and began doing stand-up full time. Over the next two decades he performed at comedy clubs and festivals across the country including Las Vegas Comedy Fest, Chicago Comedy Fest, and Milwaukee's Summerfest. In 1999 he released his debut live album "It's A Sick World And I'm A Happy Guy", which became a series with the arrival of Volume 2 in 2000 and Volume 3 in 2009. In 2008 he was named the Chicago Comedian of the Year at the Chicago Music Awards. Reeb is a frequent guest on the nationally syndicated radio program The Bob & Tom Show and has appeared in comedy specials on VH1, MTV, HBO, and Showtime.
